Bought mine for $99 on Amazon through onSale.

In the description it says FB454UT Smartbuy TouchPad QUALCOMM Snapdragon APQ8060 1.2 GHz 802.11 a/b/g/n Wireless 9.7" IPS TFT 1GB RAM 16GB. Don't know what's with the Smartbuy touchpad description, hopefully I didn't get screwed.

Going by this link, that seems to be the correct model number.

I just grabbed one too. Thanks for the link. Hopefully we BOTH didn't get screwed! :)

link here showed it going for $415  my amazon cart clearly shows it at $99

Looks like it's now going through a different merchant (with an obviously higher price). I'm not sure if Amazon typically rotates merchants or if OnSale (the $99 merchant) ran out of stock.

I ordered one on Friday through the HP online website. After two day, I have yet to receive shipping information so it's not a guarantee that the order went through. I won't be too disappointed if the order is cancelled though, since I experienced a bit of buyer's remorse as soon as I hit the order button. :p

So far so good... we'll see if I actually get it.

Who bought a $100 (or $150) TouchPad?

Proud owner of an iPad 2 here to confess that I dropped $100 (technically $90) for a TouchPad. Why not? I'm a gadget geek so it should be fun to play around with a non iPad tablet for once.

I passed. I'm also an owner of an iPad (and iPhone, and iTouch). I didn't need another device which does the same thing as the iPad. I can only carry so many items in my briefcase and pocket.

I didn't want to get one as a gift for family or friends.

I understand gadget geeks wanting to play with another device. And those that want to make some cash via eBay. Should be able to make back at least as much as you paid for it.

One bright spot might be the ability to put Honeycomb on it. But that's only conjecture at this point.

Ditto, only I had to pay another 7 and change tax!

Well, my wife lost my iPad last week. Really. She's sick over it. I'm sick over it. But it's gone. So I didn't hesitate to purchase a $99 "close-enough" replacement! :) Fingers crossed that it actually gets delivered.

Yeah, my iPad 2 got stolen about two months ago, so I went ahead and ordered one. I loved my iPad 2, I will like this, especially for the price. When I got my original Pre, I liked Webos, just didn't like the phone.

I bought one cause it was cheap and figured it would do until I can afford an iPad. I have now picked up two (a friend wanted one) and have had requests from people if I can find more to get them one.

Got a 16 GB Touchpad for $129 at Office Depot in Charlotte this morning -- I arrived at the store about two minutes before it opened. There was one guy in front of me, and two others showed up right after I did. I wanted a 32 GB unit, but the store only had one and the guy in front of me got it, so I settled for a 16 GB unit (of which there were only TWO). So now they're totally sold out -- and even Office Depot's web site now lists that the Touchpad is no longer available.

Thats funny because I believe I was the 4th guy in line that walked away empty handed...Fortunately there was another Office depot farther down South Blvd that had some so I snagged a 32gb :)

Is there only one Office Depot in Charlotte.

I got mine at bestbuy,blakeney.. This morning. They had around 25 in stock and I was 2nd in line.

love it so far....

Just wondering how many already owned an iPad 1 or 2 and decided to pick up the Touchpad as an additional tablet.. :)

Wow this is cheap enough that I will probably buy one, take it apart, and mount it in my car or something crazy like that. Like a flip down screen tied into the sound system or something.
