Have you been trying multiple times throughout the day? I just get a message saying there are no more Reservations available.

Someone does not want me to get this damn phone.

Yes, but I keep getting "We were unable to complete set up online."

Do you get that reservation message after you entered you zip? That would explain it.

Well, in order to reach that page, you're prompted to enter your phone number, billing zip code, and social security number..
If I randomly change the zip code to 06930 or 90405, all stores in those areas are unavailable.

Same problem. I think it's safe to assume the servers are no longer the issue. I'm planning on camping out, but I'll stop by the apple store before launch just to make sure nothing will prevent me from buying.

for people still having this issue - i've spoken to apple and at&t about this via customer service.

Apple says they are aware that some users are having this problem and are "working on it".

AT&T told me there was nothing with my account that would prevent me from ordering the new iphone.

I spoke to an online AT&T rep. She was nice, but changed the subject. Then transferred me. It's 8:29 AM here in California and I'm still getting the error. I'm upgrading on a primary line with a FAN discount. I hope Apple or AT&T fixes this. I want to pre-order already!

i hear you. have you tried the apple store iphone app by the way? tried that as well and i get to a "accept terms and conditions" slider at the bottom. then nothing happens. no "processing" screen, submit button or anything. Total fail on apple's part i think. so frustrated!

No I haven't. I want to have it delivered and the app only does the reservation thing i think. Do you think Apple is really working on it? I've been trying to pre-order since yesterday at 1 AM PST! :(

i have no idea if they're working on it. such a load of crap if you ask me. So i basically lost out on the pre-order and now still can't order due to some unknown error that no one seems to know about.

No one wants to help me. I've been on the Apple support discussions, Yahoo Answers, MacRumors, and AT&T online chat. All of which have had 0 replies. :(

rep said no pre-orders until further notice

I spoke to a rep this morning and she said she had been informed that they were not to process any iPhone 4 pre-orders today (6/16) until further notice. She said she knows that they're working on a lot of stuff right now, but that's where she left it. I'm guessing the no pre-order rule is also in effect on the web. AT&T likely isn't announcing it because they're probably embarrassed enough by the massive crash yesterday

Glad I got my pre-orders in yesterday.

The issue is either:

-- You don't currently have an iPhone.

-- You are not the primary account holder with a discount

-- Both of the above.

It would be interesting to see which one of the above is causing the issue.

I have both of the above. There are threads on this forum about each of those issues, but overall things are still unresolved.

i have an iphone and am the primary account holder. still having this issue. so this is wrong i believe.

Yeah, my sister and I have iPhones, but neither are eligible. I put in my number just to see. I can get the iPhone for $699, then I clicked continue and guess what, I got the add to cart button! My problem is that I'm using my mom's upgrade (she's eligible for $199), but she currently has an LG Vu, so she obviously doesn't have an iPhone data plan. We're all on one Family Plan though! It should still work! My mom is the primary and I'm using her number! :(

I figured out how to do it via the Apple Store app! Once sliding the slider at the bottom, go back to the top and tap the blue button again to add it to your cart! Genius, right? Too bad I couldn't figure this out yesterday and I could've actually gotten a phone in time for the 24th. Oh well, better than going to the store and having problems getting your phone activated.

Hope this works!

Didn't work. :(
Thank you anyway :)

which blue button are you speaking of?

Just spoke with Shaquana (sp?) at Apple Customer Service. She said they are aware of the issue, in fact she asked me before she proceeded any further with an iPhone 4 pre-order if I was an existing at&t customer on a family plan. However according to her, Apple doesn't consider it an issue or a problem on their side that needs resolving. She simply said that it's because of some restrictions from AT&T's side and that I would either have to go into an Apple or AT&T store to order the phone.

Unfortunately I can't go into an Apple store since I'm not the primary account holder -- just the authorized user and apple stores don't recognize authorized users.

Guess the only option is to camp out at an AT&T store on the 24th...assuming they will have stock available for walkins.

Same message since last night on Apple's site. Then tried upgrade phones on AT&T's site, won't give me option to upgrade any of my phones. Not just ordering iPhones, any phone at all. Tells me to call business care. I just got off the phone with them. Apparently they stopped all ordering of new devices until they deal with all the iPhone 4 back logs. He said they're told to check again every 2 hours. When they "clear" their queue the ordering system will let us order again. At least I know it's not something wrong with my account.

Wow, this SUCKS!

This is kind of my issue as well...except the AT&T rep that I spoke to had no idea there were any issues and kept telling me there were no issues. She sent me into the AT&T store and by the time I got there they had suspended pre-orders there as well.

*I have a non-iphone (mine was stolen so got a crap phone to hold me over until the new phones came out)
*I HAD a FAN number and took it off yesterday hoping it would solve the problems (obviously it didn't).

The guy at the AT&T store also said there is nothing wrong with my account but gee...still can't preorder on apple.com.

I guess I am going to go early on launch day to AT&T because I am scared to waste my time at Apple and have them run into issues.

UGH!
