How the single tour Hermès fits on my 165mm (6.5") wrist.

Thank you! Just what I was looking for. Could I impose upon you further and ask for a pic of it buckled on your wrist in the last hole? I don't mind removing the floating keeper.

Do you really think a used leather band is going to fetch a really good price? Someone's used leather band would not be my ideal buy.
There are very few used leather products I would buy, and a watch band is definitely not one of them. Maybe if it was worn only to the Opera twice a month by a little old lady with big wrists ...

Yep could not agree more. Someone else's leather band is nasty.

While true, I think that's beside the point as I'm talking about used vs. used. A true AW Hermes will fetch for more than a base SS + stock Hermes band.

It's not beside the point at all. You are talking about their worth band new. Yes Tempe Hermes is worth more band new, but used I would buy a SS link bracelet before I would buy a used Hermes leather band AW.

No, but assuming that the Apple Watch 2 Hermes (or 3, etc) use the same mechanism, what you could do is sell the original Apple Watch Hermes with the band from the new watch. After a year or two, the original band should have developed a nice patina.

No, I'm talking about their worth used if you decide to sell them one year down the line. A used genuine AW Hermes will be worth more than a SS with a used stock Hermes band.

But, yes, I'd rather buy a used link bracelet than a used leather band. That's why it's beside the point.

Do you suppose people who buy Hermes watches, sell them before they buy new ones, and swap out the bands if they fit?

That's the thing though. I would never sell either with a leather band. That is my point. The Hermes will not be of much value at all used. If you can't buy the band separately, then who wants just the watch?

My guess is that some won't care and won't bother to sell them. Others might figure they can get more for the old watch if they sell them with the new Apple band. If you have a Cuff or Double Tour, you'd have the advantage of buying the cheaper Single Tour as a replacement.

Alternatively, it's possible Apple offers some sort of trade-in program that enables current Hermes owners just to buy the watch case. I doubt it, but it's possible.

One thing I have not seen anyone mention is that the Cuff can be used as Cuff, single tour (removing the cuff), or regular stainless steel (removing the whole band). I like the versatility of the Cuff.

Also, the Hermes Cuff watch has little details that are NOT the same like the regular stainless steel. Some have been mentioned, like the box obviously, the engraving in the back, the faces, but I would add:

The pairing logo in orange.
it also has that special singular color in different faces that is only available for the watch, like the Editions. (And I believe is Hermes Orange)
The crown has the center in black stainless steel.

I don't know if there are any more.

I'm betting most who buy Hermes or the Edition will not care. I'm also expecting Apple to allow multiple watch pairings by OS3, so that Watch people can buy a newly designed model every year to add to their collection. And this is another reason why I wouldn't expect band compatibility between generations to be a huge priority for Apple. I just don't see Hermes customers going to all of that trouble.

As for trade-ins, I fully expect there to be an Edition trade in program, because there is actually something of value in that watch -- a not so insignificant amount of 18kt gold. There's at least some value to be reclaimed from it while Apple gets paid to recycle the electronics for their customers. The Hermes stainless steel watch without the band, not so much. I'm not sure what kind of credit they could offer that would make any difference to an Hermes customer, it almost seems cheap. Better to keep it and buy a brand new one.

What is the Digital Crown on SS ⌚️'s? I have looked at each the SS & the Hermès ⌚️ digital crowns and can't tell the difference. Of the watch face singular color, are you speaking about the second hand?

Big favor to ask. Can you post a screenshot of Hermès dial where no number or word is obscured by any hand? Date doesn't matter. Thank you.

Neat. The pairing logo is indeed Hermes orange vs. yellow gold on the Edition.

However, what do you mean by the crown having the center in black stainless steel? Pretty sure the digital crown has a black cap just like the SS models.

Big thank you too! Workin' on a poor man's version, and with no skills!
You mean this?

I can't tell any difference (one is gold plated, one is Hermes ⌚️).
