Who is getting the new apple wireless keyboard?

I'm using the wired, low-profile keyboard right now. This keyboard is really a step in the direction of ergonomically unfriendly design. I think it is highly overrated. It isn't like typing on a MacBook where the height of the case helps to meet your hands.

Think twice before you spend a lot of money on the wireless model. Although I had no problem affording the wired model, it is a lot of money to spend just as an experiment. I'm sure that sooner or later I will go back to using the high-profile white keyboard. In fact, I plan to buy a couple as spares, including the wireless ones.
 
I really want one for my MBP but no number pad makes it a difficult option; some Quark formatting characters need the enter key and it's my bread and butter app, for now.
 
I ordered my wireless keyboard with my new Imac on 7 Aug the day they were announced. Both are still scheduled to ship 12 Sep. I've got my fingers crossed that my order doesn't slip. I haven't heard of anyone receiving a new wireless keyboard yet.
 
Sept 26th for me,.... replacement for my existing BT KB,... they are kind enough to send the new one!

To each his own. I've been using the wired one since the day they were available and I LOVE it.

It definitely is sweet...however, does anyone really know when the stores are getting them? The Apple website says it's shipping in 3-4 weeks...???

I'm trying to decide b/c I have the Apple Wireless/Bluetooth keyboard right now, and if it's going to be a month 'til the new ones come out, I'll just go to the Apple Store now and buy a wired one, and sell my Apple Bluetooth keyboard. However, if the stores will be getting them next week...I'll probably hold off.

Anyone have any insight/idea based on Apple's previous shipping cycle for new peripheral hardware releases? Thanks!
 
Apple store now shows iMacs with BT keyboards shipping in 5-7 biz days.

So, the stores should have them late next week or the week after?

After waiting for these, I guess I may as well wait another 4 weeks or so for Leopard.

I'll swap you my wired white keyboard for your new one.

I might even consider swapping two of them...

I love the new design. Really feels like I am hardly raising my hands.
 
I have one on order slated to ship Spet 28. Can't wait since I want to use my external monitor with my MBP with the lid down.
 
i'll probably use my iphone credit on the wireless version.

i saw it at a buddy's house and it looked slick, and then use my wireless bt white keyboard at the office...
 
my fault--i meant i saw the wired one at my buddy's house, not the wireless...that's what happens when i try posting at the office!

but looking at the wired version in person definitely piqued my interest!

Arrived this morning.

Batteries are included and it has a green led on the right that lights up when you first switch it on and pair it, but you can't see the led when it is off (meaning it just looks like metal surface). You have to look very closely to tell where the led shines through.

I'm so ringing up Apple to find out why mine is shipping at the END of october when people in Aus already have them :mad:
 
Canceled the wireless and ordered a wired. Don't want to give up number pad and arrow keys!
 
The new wireless looks so awesome, I cant wait to get my hands on one :D

I Have one and absolutely Love it

I just got mine a few days ago and to be honest had some reservations on whether I'd like it or not but when I got I loved it. The keys are adequately spaced apart and I never once feel as if I'm missing any thing. But I never used to use the number pad so your impression might be different if you're used to using them.

For me it was worth the wait probably the best upgrade in the i Macs!
 
I really love it! (ordered mine on august 7, delivered today)

I think it matches the old iMac design a lot better than the new aluminium look. Combined with the new alu/black iMac design the white keys make no sense at all.

Combined with my good old G5 it looks awesome:
