Who is getting the new apple wireless keyboard?

Mine is now shipped. ordered the 28th.

I got 2 day shipping, and it says shipped Oct3rd and delivery est on Oct8th.

I wonder if the time problem is just a result of it being shipped from china and the timezones being different, cause it says it shipped out at like 7:54pm Oct 3rd which obviously hasn't happened yet in the US. So hopefully i still get it friday, anyone have experience with this?

I just got notice this morning that my wireless keyboard has been shipped and its due here on Friday. Can't wait. :apple::apple::apple:
 
Just got mine at the Apple Store, Regent Street, London. Would post pictures but I'm having too much fun staring at the cool blinking green light in the top right (you'll know what I mean when you get it! ;) )

I just realized that I rarely EVER use the Numeric Keypad. I mean, unless you are constantly entering in financial data, what else would you use it for?

The convenience of the smallness and bluetooth are more than enough for me to leave the wired version behind, considering how often I really use the number pad.
 
I guess maybe they've finally caught up with orders. I just ordered the BT mouse and BT keyboard. The keyboard is already at "prepared for shipment" while the mouse is still sitting at "not shipped."

I see you have a JERKER. It's a shame that IKEA has discontinued that desk. :(

I wonder... has not using a mouse pad worn the surface of the desk at all? I love the simplicity of no mouse pad (looks especially great with the new keyboard), however I practically wore a hole in my last desk by not using a pad.
 
Wow, the new kb is truly a stunning design marvel! I just wish it had a number pad. Maybe they will update it and give an option.

Nope! I've been using it on there for over 6 months with no worn surface whatsoever.

Dang I've been checking soho store periodically cause Im working basically right next door! I decided last friday that I would order it online though...of course right about when they arrived to the stores. Oh well at leasts it's shipped and I'll get it on Friday.

I don't run anything, just use it in clamshell mode?

I have the MPB set to wake up from sleep by bluetooth. Whenver I need to travel, I disconnect the DVI. Once I get back, keep the lid closed, attach the DVI and press some keys on the bluetooth keyboard or Mighty Mouse, and it wakes up just fine and onto the monitor.
 
yeah mine shipped today with an expected delivery date of oct. 8th after it saying it wouldn't ship for 2-3 weeks a couple days ago. Must've finally turned on the other production machines and are finally meeting the demand. This made my week! woohoo can't wait for monday
 
LOL i just ordered the mouse and keyboard so i could use my grand wega as a monitor and surf or whatever from the comfort of the couch !!!! lol thats great :)
 
Just got mine today (well, now yesterday). Very impressed with small size and light weight. Also using it with closed MBP, external display, BT MM and now BT keyboard. This was supposed to be temporary, while I'm having some mobility issues (for at least another month, too), but this keyboard has convinced me to permanently use this setup, while at home.
 
people who had theirs shipped, can you post the path it took to get to america? mine seems to be stuck in transit from lantau island
 
my local store had them, so i went and got one and im just going to return the one i purchased to the store.

Picked one up today at the Apple Store.

they're starting to ship fast now. even though the store doesn't have them, they are still being shipped to people who have placed orders.

mine was ordered oct 1st will be here october 9th.

since the wireless bt keyboard was announced i've been checking with valley fair mall in san jose but they keep telling me they haven't gotten shipment. At one point they got three but sold out. It appears that getting it online is a lot faster and it's free shipping so all good.

It baffled me to, but after a week of using one, it's really amazingly good. Comfortable and more reliable than my stock G5 keyboard.

What I don't get is wireless keyboards. Does a wire running across your desk REALLY bother you that much? I mean, unless you're Kevin Smith in the new Die Hard movie, I don't see a whole lot of purpose in spending the extra $30 to get the same keyboard...

Edit: I didn't realize that the wireless keyboards were stunted/shortened, and actually a little uglier than the wired. Now I'm even more confused!
