Who is getting the new apple wireless keyboard?

My wls_kbrd arrived in the states 17th of Sept....

Expected delivery from Fed Ex is Friday the 21st !!! Can't wait!... I had ordered AL iMac with wireless orig on Aug 7.... Changed to wired kbrd when I had seen the wait..Still kept my order for wireless kbrd though....:D

Think twice before you spend a lot of money on the wireless model. Although I had no problem affording the wired model, it is a lot of money to spend just as an experiment. I'm sure that sooner or later I will go back to using the high-profile white keyboard. In fact, I plan to buy a couple as spares, including the wireless ones.

I have a high profile white keyboard that is wireless just got it in August, would you be willing to trade for your wired low-profile?
 
I don't know what's the deal with Apple on this one...but I ordered mine in August (the 24th), suppose to be ship 1 month later (yesterday). I've just receive a mail telling me the shipping date is delayed 'till 24 october, shipping to be receive november 5th... Man, order a keyboard in August to have it ship in november...what's that ?

Oh, by the way, I lived in Montreal...so not out of this world..

I need a freakin' keyboard soon, so I might just have to cancel it and take the usb...that sucks...
 
the reason why they went w/o the number pad was from the amount of people using a mini as a media center pc.

well, i think they might have stretched the numbers to convince themselves ;)

I agree. I went with the wired version and it's awesome. Would love the BT, but I just can't see giving up that many keys to lose one wire.

I'm still waiting for this keyboard to be available at stores. Anyone have had better luck than me?
 
Has anyone with the new BT wireless version noticed any delay when typing, that the older white BT version sometimes had?
 
I went to the apple store in Valley Fair yesterday and they didn't have any wireless keyboards in stock or griffin elevators =( Maybe because it's currently being remodeled so the store as much smaller than its really going to be once the remodeling is done.
p.s. Saw a lambo in Santana Row!
 
apple store in soho nyc has a bunch of them in - just picked one up - love it - super sleek and tiny = just what i needed for my tiny desk space.
 
I ended up getting a wired one, I just really felt the need for the numberpad.

It has a great feel to it though, i like it.
 
I was going to cancel mine and go find a store, but it shows "Prepared for shipment" and wont let me cancel. I called to check on the status to see if i could get any more info and they said it was scheduled to ship Oct22nd which is what the website says. But i think hes just going by the website also.

For other people who ordered, how long did/does it stay in Prepared for Shipment till it ships? Does that actually mean they have mine ready to go on a truck, or does it mean the order has been placed.

edit: also the gift card i used has been charged.

Ordered mine 14th aug,..... supposed to be overnight shipping on 26th sept,...

Still have not received it. Called apple and talked to admin supervisor,... he said backordered and there's nothing they can do. There is even no ETA,.... online status is still Not yet shipped. ETA: 26th sept.....

What should i do?

There is hope for you people who didn't received it yet. Mine was, like I've said, delayed till end of october. Apple send me an e-mail telling me it was shipped last friday. The keyboard arrived at my place half an hour ago ! It's so tiny and well build (alu and the feel...wow !). I too was angry - as you can see in my other post up there - but, believe me, it worth the wait. Don't cancel yours if it's not ship yet after a long wait. It is, by far, the best keyboard I've ever own, really ! :D
 
In stock in Dallas area

I picked one up this afternoon at the Apple Store in Southlake Town Center, Southlake, Texas - a suburb to the northwest of Dallas. None of the 3 other stores in the Dallas area had them in stock as of this morning. They still had a fair number of them there this afternoon around 4:30 p.m.
 
i picked up one today in Clarendon, Virginia.

I like that it's small. im still getting used to it though.

but that new keyboard smell? ADDICTIVE. its a drug. i cant stop smelling it. will it damage the few brain cells i have left?
 
Just drove out and picked one up at the Mall of America store. Holy balls it's small! Even seeing the pictures across the forum didn't prepare me for how small it would be...definitely has a steeper angle than wired version. Like it so far though :)
 
I get one at Clarendon VA this morning too, they had a fair amount of them. Go to my blog (see my sig.) for some pictures of it.
EDIT: In the pictures I compare it to the Belkin I mention earlier in this post.
