I got 12 pro and I like it but feel it may be a tad big there is no way to use it one handed. If the mini has come out first I for sure would have ordered it. I may go back to my eight but it’s been only a day so I will see
The standard iPhone 12 is a really nice weight, feels quite light in use so far. Aluminium is a third of the weight of stainless though so this would make sense.I just got my beautiful graphite iphone 12Pro, replacing my iphone 8. The color is beautiful, or I think it is, since I slapped a case on it immediately and all the color is now just a black leather case.( from Nomad). The only thing I don't like about the phone is the weight. I also have a Galaxy S20 ( 120hz refresh) and it is 1 and 1/2 oz lighter than the Iphone 12Pro, with both leather cases on each phone. I will say the speakers on the Iphone 12 Pro are probably 20-30% louder than the speakers on my Iphone 8. If I returned the Iphone 12 Pro, I could pick up an Iphone 12 that weighs exactly the same as the Galaxy S20 but I probably won't because its a pain to go through all that stuff.
Not returning my iPhone 12 but absolutely blown away by how my old 8 Plus nearly matches it on speed despite being 3 years old. That A11 chip was a beast it seems.
The OLED screen is nice, but can’t see why so many made out it was night and day better. It’s a bit crisper and the blacks are deeper but hey. FaceID is as quick sometimes as TouchID too which is what I thought. Nice phone the 12, I just can’t see why people upgrade every year when the difference is so small across 3 years let alone 12 months.
If you don't care for telephoto and lidar no as the lens is the same as the pro..I bought the pro and am feeling as underwhelmed as I did with last years pro. Especially after today struggling to get video recorded by it playing on my LG tv in Dolby Vision.
There’s nothing that screams ‘this is worth an extra £150’
I’m happy to get a current iPhone this time around. My last two iPhones were last years model and although I never regretted them, it’s nice to share some of the excitement of having a current phone. Not taking anything away from the 11 as it’s an excellent phone though, quite a few of my colleagues have it. It’s a great buy that I’d recommend to anybody I know too. I’m surprised Apple continued offering it but all good for consumers. The 11 Pro would be a good buy right now.Should of gotten a cheaper 11 then, as that's what you promote here getting last years model cheaper, screen shows more text closer to 8 plus size, better battery, lcd you love, bit of a disappointing review after 2 years with a 8 plus and your first new design phone. How's the 12 battery v the 8 plus?
Same. I miss the wide keyboard of my XS MaxI'm returning my 12 Pro and waiting for the 12 Pro Max. It's just too small and everything feels cramped coming from a 11 Pro Max.
Can't believe it myself, but i'm going to return my 12 Pro. This is the first time a new iPhone did not excite me.
Screen was a little bit better (no ghosting), camera took better photos and it felt faster. but it still didn't feel like i was gaining much. (especially not as much as it costs) because the features remained mostly the same, it just didn't feel much different.
and sadly it feels a bit uncomfortable in my hands. it's a bit bigger, heavier and the edges are... edgier
the smaller bezels actually look bigger and more prominent to me, because of the flat edges. (or because of the brighter frame of pacific blue? not sure)
but otherwise i love the look of the device. pacific blue is amazing.
i just restored my iPhone X and it feels plenty fast and much more comfortable to my hands.
will probably try the Mini next year. but for now i'll stick to the X.
and i have to say it actually feels "freeing" to have a phone that is a bit older, has some scratches and dents and i don't have to baby around as much.
I agree and I’m trying yet struggling to see how people prefer the squared edges! Comfortability has now become the biggest factor making me want to just send back the 12 pro. The problem though, is that I would likely want to upgrade next year (or at the very least the year after), and I’d imagine both of those releases will use the same design. So is there any point delaying the inevitable? Decisions..I thought I was the only one with this issue. The phone is good and looks stunning, but I just can’t comfortable with it. Width-wise is about the same as the 11 pro, but the square edges make it uncomfortable and limits reachability one handed. I switched back to my 11 pro and it just feels much better in my hand. I really like the design and feel like the mini would be the perfect size for me, but I can not sacrifice the battery drop off I would get. I just hope next year they come out with a mini that has a battery at least on par with the 11 pro.
Have this same thought but I think getting an 11 pro now will “future proof” me for the next few years, with the exception of 5g.I agree and I’m trying yet struggling to see how people prefer the squared edges! Interesting. My blue 12 blows my old IPhone X away....love it.I’m returning my Blue iPhone 12, it’s just sitting on my desk, I love my iPhone X, I really don’t see any real performance boost, I don’t have 5G where I live and to be honest the X is still such a great phone, I can hold out another year and see what improvements we get next time around.

Returned the 12 Pro and useless MagSafe charger today. I was really hoping the 6.1 size would be the sweet spot for me, but it’s not.
Once you go Max, you can’t go back.
I’ll be using my 11 PM until I can pre order the new beast on November 6th.
Lol Battery life usually gets better every year and you get one that’s at 100% health! For a heavy user that is key.
Your out of luck this year then lol.
