Returned my 12 Pro Pacific Blue and gone back to my 11 Pro Space Grey, found the blue boring in all honesty but I get why some people are going nuts for it.

No other stock near me so I ordered Silver and Gold models for delivery in 2 weeks, I normally go light then black etc to keep the feeling of a new phone fresh each year.

Going Space grey to Pacific blue was a mistake, Gold was stunning in person and silver looked like a traditional iPhone if that makes sense.

I originally thought I was going to return the 12 pro and get the Max since I was coming from 11 pro max. But after using the 12 pro over the weekend, I realized I really don't miss the screen real estate and it is nice to be able to use the phone 1 handed. The ONLY thing that I am struggling with is the 12 pro max having the better camera. I take a lot of photos and honestly, not sure I can see a difference between 12 pro and the 11 pro max that I had.

I'm returning my 12. I came from a X and it just doesn't feel like an upgrade. I'll wait another year to see what they can drum up.

Playing with the husband’s 12 Pro, I like the weight and balance of it a lot. The grip is definitely nicer. However, I miss the additional screen real estate and it looks like everything is slightly larger on his screen.

The Pro is a nice size. I could work with it if I didn’t have a larger option. Two-handed use doesn’t bother me and I hold in my hand more than it is in my handbag. As others have said, once you go Max, it’s hard to go back.

Glad I didn’t give in at pre-order time though I was really, really tempted.

Coming from an 8+ I love the fact I can hold the phone easily again. Not having to remove my phone every time I sit down is a welcome bonus too. I suppose the difference for me though is I’ve come from a from the size of the Pro Max, but have acquired a bigger screen in a smaller frame so it’s a major advantage.

Can't believe it myself, but i'm going to return my 12 Pro. This is the first time a new iPhone did not excite me.

Screen was a little bit better (no ghosting), camera took better photos and it felt faster. but it still didn't feel like i was gaining much. (especially not as much as it costs) because the features remained mostly the same, it just didn't feel much different.

and sadly it feels a bit uncomfortable in my hands. it's a bit bigger, heavier and the edges are... edgier ;)

the smaller bezels actually look bigger and more prominent to me, because of the flat edges. (or because of the brighter frame of pacific blue? not sure)

but otherwise i love the look of the device. pacific blue is amazing.

i just restored my iPhone X and it feels plenty fast and much more comfortable to my hands.
will probably try the Mini next year. but for now i'll stick to the X.

and i have to say it actually feels "freeing" to have a phone that is a bit older, has some scratches and dents and i don't have to baby around as much.
I have to agree. 12 pro is a bit too heavy for one-handed use. I'm getting the 12 next week, which is lighter than the pro and actually lighter than my X. I will have to see if the tallness of the 12 but the lighter weight makes it easier to hold one-handed.

I don't think I would go back to my X, I think the camera upgrades are significant. I will have to see if the tallness of the 12 but the lighter weight makes it easier to hold one-handed.

I got the iPhone 12 Blue and now that it arrived today, I got a chance to compare it to my iPhone XR. Unfortunately I didn't see a huge difference in the screen colors going from LED to OLED. I can definitely see a difference in resolution though when comparing phone screens. I tried out the camera and why I can see some upgrades, its just not enough for me to make such a huge payment in upgrading.

I plan to return it and stick with my iPhone XR. Also, I am not as happy with the blue color as much as I thought. The other colors don't look that great to me either on the 12 from what I have seen of unboxing videos.

Don't mean to rain on anyone's parade who enjoys the upgrade. Its definitely a nice phone. Anyone else plan to return the iPhone 12 and stick with their old phones?
Well I traded in my Xr today , just because I was able to get $440 trade for it at best buy and pay off in full for $359 rather than wait on monthly bill credits. I got home with a bit ago, first impressions with it nothing really wows me over the xr and I expected that. It does seem a bit snappier, havent messed with camera. Overall, its just a iphone, experience is almost exactly the same so far as the Xr. Ill keep it since I got it for such a "discount"

I love the new 6.1" size! Initially wanted to go for 12 pro max as I am currently using note 10 plus but boy do I find it tiring to use a "longish" phone. Nothing beats a comfortable day to day use.

I had a Note 10+. I found it was just long enough to cause me sufficient trouble carrying it around that I found myself leaving it on the nightstand and only using it to watch videos. That seemed a waste of a powerful computing device. So I traded it for the S20 which I use a lot more.

Though I was tempted by the camera and battery specs on the 12 Pro Max, I decided not to even seriously consider it. Your post helps reinforce my decision.

I have an 11 Pro, and since the weight difference is only one gram more, I’m glad to have a slightly more generous display for just a bit of a size increase on the 12 Pro.

I loved my 11 Pro but I will also be glad to say goodbye to the curved glass. It’s just a tiny curve but it meant screen protectors couldn’t truly go edge to edge and so there was always lint accumulating at the edges.

Looks like I'm returning my iPhone 12, love everything about it but finding everything to small especially in safari and keyboard feels a little cramped when typing.

Coming from an 11 Pro, I'm still adjusting to the 12. I found that I have to slightly adjust my grip when holding the 12 to reach the top of the screen, compared to my 11 Pro. Although the 11 Pro (for now) feels a bit more comfortable in my hand. The lighter weight is definitely welcome though.

I'm on the fence about returning my 12P. I think I miss my XS Max screen size. Going to use the 12P for another day or two and then make my decision.

Yes, I need to send it back by 9 November (in store, drop-off point, or arranged collection).
So if you initiate a return online, you can take it into a store to return instead?
That basically gives you approx 28 days in total to return from the time you bought the device, which would be great to have both 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max side by side to compare.

I'll keep my 12Pro. However, I'm greatly underwhelmed. Besides the overhyped and mythical 5G, there are no big improvements on the 12Pro. I'm ready for next year's model - it's way overdue for 120hz screen and touchid to return.

As an 11 ProMax owner, do you not miss the phenomenal battery life of the 11? I saw those battery tests for the 12 Pro and they looked like a big downgrade

It’s funny, my 8+ was wider yeti make less mistakes typing on the iPhone 12. The keyboard on mine is super responsive so far.

This phone is a little pocket rocket, didn’t think I’d notice much of a difference coming from the a12 xs max, it’s certainly noticeable, if only it was a little bit wider. 🥺

Not sure if this will help you assess it better but have you tried page zoom to increase the text size in safari?

I'm not sure on that. When you go to your order page to start a return it says you have two weeks to "start a return online or in store." So I guess on the 14th day, you could theoretically go online to "start" the return and get the label to send it back. Whether you send it back right away is a different question, I'm not sure how long they give you for it to reach them.

Anyone know?

I didn't realize how good the screen is on the 12 Pro until comparing photos on the 11 Pro (all photos taken with the 11 Pro) The same photos on the 12 Pro are much sharper and have better contrast. I've gotten used to the increased size over the past few days and the 12 Pro is definitely a keeper.

Honestly, I haven’t really noticed it. I am so used to plugging my phone in randomly during the day anyway. Did it with the Pro Max. I’ll probably try it tomorrow or Wednesday without plugging it in to see how long it lasts.
