I'm interested in the pro. I have a 32 gb rmini and a 128 gb air, both cellular. Got a iPad unlimited data plan. Both iPads jb. Not sure id sell them for the new ones. Any idea what'd they be worth? Ac plus on both. 1 instance left on the rmini, both on the air

I too will be sticking with the Air. Its not often that i don't find something to complain about regarding a product, but there is literally nothing i can fault the air for, that would require an upgrade. Great battery life, so light, fast, handles absolutely everything i want.

We're pretty happy with ours and don't actually use them a lot anymore. Our phones and our Macs do so much that we don't really need the iPads.

I'm skipping. My last upgrade was from the 2 to the Air so I'll likely wait just as long before I upgrade again. Just no reason to. My Air screams and works like a champ. Even with my supposedly paltry 1GB of RAM. ;)

I'm going to keep my mini with retina until it struggles to play the latest games of that time. I've only had it for 2 months anyway

I have a 64GB iPad 4 that I've owned for 18 months. I was delighted with it while running iOS 6. Due to various security bugs in iOS I was forced to upgrade to 7. I'm not so delighted any more. There are lags and pauses that are a distraction. And there's no way to go back.

I've owned an iPad since gen-1, day-1. (skipped the 3) I will continue to use my current iPad while keeping an eye on what Apple does over the next 6-12 months. I see little sense in buying a tablet made of "premium material" that will physically long outlive it's functional usefulness.

If I'm to buy another one, Apple is going to have to show me that it will protect my investment... and forcing updates to the OS is not my idea of protecting my investment.

I think I'm no longer going to update iOS's on my existing Apple products. It seems like there's always issues. My iPad Mini 1st gen is running iOS7 (Wish I never upgraded from iOS6, but the whole facetime not working and security flaw forced me to update).

I won't know for certain until the new iPads come out, but I doubt very much I'll upgrade my iPad mini retina. I upgraded from the original mini to the mini retina when it came out, and it was a remarkable improvement. But the mini retina is such a wonderful machine, there's not much they can do to tempt me. Sure, it would be nice if safari tabs didn't reload so much, or if the color accuracy was equal to the air, but these issues don't matter that much to me. Louder speakers would be more important (something which doesn't get mentioned so much). But it's hard to imagine an improvement big enough to get me to spend the money for an upgrade. Still, perhaps Apple will surprise me.

I am thinking I will skip. I have an Air and it works perfectly on iOS 8.0.2 and I see no real reason to upgrade. I already have a plus so touch id is only valid if I need security which i dont need on iPad air if I keep it home and I intend to use Apple pay on my iPhone Plus. Anyone else skipping the upgrade this year because Touch ID and an upgraded Camera will be the only things which it seems will be upgraded apart from the standard spec upgrade.

A split screen mode for two apps at once might be tempting. But maybe the Air gets it as well. If not, I might consider selling mine and getting the next one.

I have an iPad 4 that works fine. I'm probably going to upgrade then give the 4 to my kids. They usually take it over when they are with me anyway. They then will have their own. Another option will be to get the new one, sell the 4 then purchase two iPad Minis so they will each have one.

I'll see what they show us in a few weeks and what prices of the current models go down to.

I am still happy with my iPad 3. Basically playing it year-by-year. If I am having issues by next year's release I will upgrade.

All you girls will see the new iPad and be like "alright, I'm in!!!!"

Lolz

Agree, how annoying was that.

Ipad 4 128GB, forgot I'd owned it so long!

Works fine, does what I need it to do at the moment and I'll probably now just keep it it's whole life (I do have a habit of reselling before launch of new Apple gear so it will part fund the new tech) but I'm not really bothered about any new features that have been discussed to date, so Apple need to surprise!

I won't be upgrading beyond iOS8, I wish I'd stayed on 7 just so I didn't upgrade iCloud to iCloud Drive, that has been a PITA.

I think I will skip this generation... Only marginal improvements for me.... Maybe if they add more ram and a stylus I could probably have a fantastica board ( like the ones from Wacom!) I wonder when apple would switch to this technology and amoled also... Maybe the apple watch is the the first of Apple oled products XD
I'm a fan of Apple but this year I don't see any reason to upgrade
My iPad Air is 32 gb and I think it would be fine for another year in combination with my 2013 pro retina 13' and my future 6 + and Apple watch.....

Did you type out this on the air? Next time do a little research in another tab, for a long response, then come back to see all your efforts lost to a tab refresh. Then come and say it's not a issue. The best customer experience possible, my pattuty.

Oops, just saw who I was spending to. Of course you don't have any issues with the ram, the rest of use are making things up, even with video evidence.

When I bought my original iPad Mini I said that there were only two reasons I'd upgrade: a retina display, and an active digitizer ("true" stylus support). Last year rolled around, showcasing TouchID, and then I had three reasons.

Since purchasing the retina iPad mini I'm back down to two reasons - one of which is very likely to be included on this year's models, so I'm in for the upgrade. Since it's unlikely Apple will give us a true stylus in the near future I anticipate holding on to the retina iPad Mini with TouchID for at least a few years, but you never know...

I may. I have an iPad 3 and it's slow, hot, and heavy, but it does accomplish what I need it to.

Ipad 2 owner here, I'll definitely skip on the upgrade unless there's a pro model with 2 gigs of ram. If that happens I'll be so down, will probably get the 16 gig with cellular. Made that mistake of not getting cellular the first time around. Now having the 6+ I've been using my iPad less and less. So unless it's got a mega screen, ram upgrade and multitasking features I'll probably stay away.

I have an iPad 4, my wife has a mini. We'll both be skipping again. More CPU and smaller size is just no reason to upgrade when they run all the apps we want just fine.

Now if they bump the base flash memory a lot without raising the price, they'll catch my eye.
