Or what? You’re always at the mercy of any retailer. They don’t care about either of us. Just the way it is.
I’m going to contact my bank and see why the charge went away. I’m mad but luckly I also bought one from Apple and that’s coming tomorrow.
Show your email with the order # at Best Buy later today and ask what number are you in pre-orders and the chances you get it on Fri. I haven't got any notification asking me to pick mine up either.
In 2010, I remember they notified me and I asked for a 9am pickup at Cerritos. I was #11 in pre-orders. But I put $50 down about 10 days before in-person which was payment already for signing up. I don't know how much has changed? Just be assertive and go to BB and ask today and tomorrow whether they email you or not.
I don't mind if people go there earlier. I'm #17 and don't want to wait for the first sixteen to get their's since time is money for me. But BB will know how many they have in stock and just notify us. Hopefully, we can pick it up before they open at 10am.

My status just updated to preparing. I’ve yet to receive any delay email like many of the naysayers have been talking about....so it looks like we’re getting our phones on the 3rd.
It’s quite possible BestBuy has figured it out....whatever the case is I’m happy to see some progress on my order.

Just checked mine, and it has switched to “Ready for pickup on Fri November 3rd”. Boomshakalaka.
I have an 11/3 delivery date and my order is still just sitting on "Pre-ordered". If they ship it overnight, it might not go into preparing for another 8-10 hours.
In store pickup. Was able to get my pre order in a couple minutes after they went live.
Where are you checking the status of your order for Best Buy? My email links me somewhere different than the regular status search on the website.
My original date was 11/10, but when I called yesterday they said I should be able to get it tomorrow. However, I have yet to receive an email or update on it.
Here’s a update, my bank just told me the charge is still pending so they haven’t cancel the order as of yet, I guess my bank app is acting up.
Update: my status has just change from processing to preparing. I guess we panicked too soon lol

Go to the BBY website, click on your account and select "Purchase history". Click on the link for the order that starts with BBY01-... and then scroll down to the bottom of that page. Originally this is where it just said "Pre ordered" but will change to "Preparing" or "Ready for pickup"

What time did u successfully placed the order? Mine was at 12.10am and still processing
I pre-ordered two identical iPhone X models (one for me and one for my wife) to be shipped to me by 11/3. The first one that I purchased at 3:08am eastern has just moved into "Preparing". The second one that I purchased at 3:17am eastern is still sitting in "Pre-Ordered".
