Who ordered from BestBuy ?

I've been following these forums closely as I have an order for an IPhone X through Best Buy with an in-store pickup date of "by November 10" My full price order has not been cancelled and only 1 person has said that their order was cancelled. I think we are getting fired up for no reason. I'm really happy that Best Buy processed my order and gave me the 10th as a pickup date. Due to my billing address being a PO Box Apple and AT&T locked me out of an order even though I've been a loyal customer of both since the 1st IPhone. AND the extra $100 doesn't bother me either! Apple and AT&T are so intent about their kickback they will not let someone buy the phone outright. They tie my billing address to my Apple order. Best Buy is losing the kickback from AT&T to offer these phones unactivated. I hope that all these conspiracy theories about BB are incorrect and I get my new phone on the 10th.

Same boat. Just chillaxin' on it. Didn't pay a cent. I'm #17 and still on the 10th. No email telling me it is canceled.

Actually this helps me out big time because I ordered it as whole sum but can't afford it and now they will offer it in installments. I can sign up for Verizon again.

Will go to BB tomorrow and ask again. The employee told me I got a good chance getting it first weekend. I won't trip if not on the 3rd. I'm not weird like that anymore.

A winners thread for getting it on the 3rd? More like an early bird for subtracting over a grand.

Some people had success, but by the time I called they had established a specific policy against price matching the iPhone X. I spent 2 hours on the phone and 2 hours in online chat. Price matching preorders has always been against policy but managers could override if they desired, but with the iPhone X they were all specifically told they were not allowed to price match. I went up about 4 layers of supervisors until there was no one higher I could talk to and as many times as we went around in circles they were adamant about the new policy. I’m still gonna try in store though.
 
All they said >> ready pickup nov 3rd

1. no update preparing
2. no email confirmation
3. no sign possitive 100%

They say all of these above will alert on same day Friday ,

This sound some concern :eek:

Most credit cards will price protect and easily credit you the $100

I was told instore pickup receives email when iPhone arrives at destination store “Moves to Preparing” means it’s at store. Next phase they’ll prepare for pickup you’ll then receive it’s a second email to come get your iPhone. I was told due to how many preorders they received you may receive an email at any point Friday to come get your phone. And they expect multiple shipments during the day hence randomly getting your email that your order is ready!

Can i come bestbuy 10:00 am when store door open and they them that i have preorder and want to pick up right away ????
 
Then i wait for email and i will call them to hold when i get home after work to pickup / :
 
Will upload pic first impresson hand on :)
also will upload iphone 8 plus and x on the demo table i snap

Definitely something I’ll look into if Best Buy won’t price match when I go to pick them up. So does the extra money come out of the credit card company’s pockets? Or do they just take some money back from Best Buy?

Have a feeling Best Buy will come through for us. Not many people ordered with them right off the bat due to the $100 uncharge

When did it change? Mine still says processing
 
Well, seeing the good news from two people has gotten my hopes up. Hopefully I fall asleep tonight and wake up to a changed order status!
 
I just noticed today that the pending charge on my credit card went away, but on Best Buy web site it still says processing with delivery date on Friday. Did this happen to anyone else ?

Yes. Mine disappeared from pending. I’m prepared to be disappointed with Best Buy.
