So does that mean I'll get my ATT Next order quicker if all the full paid orders are being canceled? :)

Seems like they should have just refunded the $100 and kept the orders in processing.

Its possible and my heart goes out to all whom paid the full price plus 100 bones to try and score a iPhone X at BB. My inshore pickup Verizon eligible line upgrade order is still active and from speaking to Verizon should be ready on 11/3! Don't give up guys if your orders arnt cancelled! Fingers crossed my new cases won't sit for awhile lol

I did see on twitter where they are not selling any more full priced devices, but I find it hard to believe that they would further infuriate those who were gouged the extra 100 by also cancelling the order. In these cases I think something else must be going on or in removing the option for the full priced device maybe the system cancelled orders and they didn't realize it would cause this to happen. Then some poor CSR came up with a brilliant excuse to say "Apple made us do it" I doubt Apple cares too much about them charging the extra $100 but it has been a PR nightmare for them so I see why they would end it. I really think they just screwed up when they took that option out of the system so with the orders in the que being pre-orders and not fulfilled, taking away that product like it no longer exists could have sent the system a message to cancel the orders since the product isn't available. Some dumb@ss probably didn't think it would hurt current orders and would just prevent future ones... but really a pre-order is just a place in line for a product once it's available, you haven't really purchased anything even if you have a "pre-auth" until it arrives. The order # we have is just a promise by them to fulfill the order "if they can barring unforeseen circumstance" and the pre-auth is our promise to pay for it.
[doublepost=1509456973][/doublepost]This is what I saw on twitter from Bestbuy .... (meaning no more full priced $100 marked up phones will be sold)View attachment 729518
This is absolutely false.

The link is still active to purchase a Verizon iPhone X at full price: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/apple-iphone-x-256gb-space-gray/6009456.p?skuId=6009456

Spoke to BB on twitter they confirmed if your Inshore pickup wasn't cancelled you should be good to go fro Friday and you'll see the completion email around 9am your time zone and you'd then go to the store once it opens and wait inline (should not be bad as last time it was 5 people for preorders) and your now with your new iPhone yay! Don't give up guys I know it sucks not being able to track like Apple etc but consider this if you win at BB you pulled off one of the biggest iPhone upsets to date since the Apple store was an abortion for me until 125am MDT by 106am MDT I had plan b trigger pulled ebbing BB ;-)

So with BB, I see they have a link to schedule an appointment. Can I just get the phone and book out of there, or are they going to set it up?

I'd rather just do it myself.

So what happens to existing orders who paid full price? Are we doubly screwed? I was just planning on getting a price match when the phone was delivered.

Best Buy, if you want to refund us $100 without any effort on our part - go ahead. But if you cancel the entire order...oy....

seriosly if they cancelled all the orders - oh man - now that would be moronic. the backlash there would be far worse.

Either way Best Buy has a PR nightmare . Best Buy was the ones charging 45.00 per case of water in Texas after the floods. Just close your doors greedy devil company

I to was advised when I called yesterday to have an appointment FYI I snagged the first available being 10am when they open. However Im not able to egt a straight answer from BB for the need for the appointment since its inshore pickup option. SO I made one just incase and Ill keep it for CYA

They sell them to people that walk in before preorders. It's a complete **** show

I dont know where you heard that. But I work for BB and I can tell you at my store, pre-orders have priority over walk-ins.

Yup. Maybe Gooberton has a shady Best Buy near him. preorders get filled before walk-ins at Best Buy unless there are employees doing things against policy.

I am fine with the $100 mark-up, I sure hope they don't cancel my order. As of right now my order is still in "pre-order for 11/3" status. Fingers crossed.

You must have a corrupt as F*&K BB you go to. Ive never seen anything like that and can honestly say BB treats the pre-orders with priority and once your inshore pickup is ready and they charge your card how could they jack your iPhone for themselves without alarms going off? Sounds like ground for termination combined with theft

Could I get shanked? Sure nothings 10000% these days in MERICA but I certainly don't go into this with my eyes closed and try to have faith in humanity :)

They never charge your card. They sell
Them to friends and then there's less for preorders . No theft involved

Once an item comes in that's pre-ordered, it is scanned in and the customers name is attached to it. That item then cannot be sold and does not count towards available stock of that specific item.

Pre-Orders is given the utmost priority over any walk-in...especially with iphones.
