you are correct. Needs to be activated in US with Verizon sim. After that it is unlocked to use everywhere.
You dont need to cancel it and wait till December....just call after your phone is delivered and ask to price match it so you can get the $100 credit...
I think that their system is accurate too! I ordered mine yesterday morning and it was already a November 10th date...maybe it depends on the version of phone people were aiming to preorder.
I'm more worried about the price matching than the date. I don't know how accurate their price matching will be come the time of pick up! My local Best Buy gave mixed messages, but I am definitely going to ask when I pickup and give them hell - especially if they pull the "we don't price match phones" things, which is not stated in their price matching guidelines.
This happened to me too with a regular black iPhone 7+...At&t and Apple's wait times were EXTREMELY late compared to Best Buy, and Best Buy delivered it about five days before the date they provided me. I have faith in Best Buy this time around too!
Bestbuy is second biggest mobile selling in us , so i dont think they treat us down like we thought

Mine to went thru 106MDT since Apple Store was worthless. I’ve ordered the previous two impossible to aquire NES CE and SNES CE and Nintendo Switch all crazy midnight death march launches and won! If your order today says Pre-Ordered for November 3rd and during check out you were able to pick a store that was available there’s a strong chance you’ll get your IPhone X on November 3rd. Anything is always possible sure but from experience and previous **** shows at B.B. if your order looks like this you should be fine. Don’t give up I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised they also will have a small amount of models on launch day the bigger stores will have more. My local shop says 10+

I've never preordered from Best Buy so good to hear about your experiences. I'm feeling more confident i'll be able to pick it up on the 3rd.
As always nothing in life is guaranteed however given they sell so many Apple products one would think an order in the first 10 minutes or so would get you the IPhone allocated and ready! I wish you well I’ll be hoping the same (my order confirmed email is 106am MDT FYI)

I bet this is true, I noticed that employees were already in line pre ordering the iphone x before the store physically opened. Shipping it to your house is a way better option.

If they not arrive promise time
= Fine i let them late 7 days
If they play game and delay over 10 days

I received my confirmation email from Bestbuy at 2:12 AM for Nov,3rd pick up.. I couldn’t believe it. store app and website were useless to me this time around and I had to think quickly.
I just checked their website and now buying the X full price option is gone, you can only do installment plans now. Also, it doesn’t ship until Dec 15th!! I feel pretty confident I’ll have no issues on the 3rd.
If they are going to charge us $100 more and then mess up the order or delay the pick up, they will have a real issue on their hands.

I’m monitor mine online FYI I doubt anyone with B.B. instore pickup will see any changes until Wednesday or Thursday since it’s a internal product move so it will sit like this until your selected store receive your order etc atleast that’s how my past 3 tough B.B. preorders went FYI I can honestly say if you see Pre-Ordered vs Processing it’s a great shot you’ll get your phone

You’ll see it update late Thursday is what I suspect we’ll see. In my previous impossible preorders at B.B. this year I saw it change status the day before launch meaning the equipment arrived etc. I know allot of people on here have had bad B.B. preorder experiences.. I personally haven’t so hopefully my good luck continues. My last preorder in September I saw status update day before to ‘Preparing’ and day of at 9am before the store opened it completed to “Ready for Pickup” and I got the email to show at 10am. Once I arrived there was a 5 person line and they had a small pile and they would give you your device and finish paying etc. As easy as it gets! If you’re order is in the first 15+ minutes or more potentially I’m sure you’ll get your phones in 5 days. It’s sounding like that on my conversations with B.B. FYI
I’m not sure on that front so I’d definitely call and pose that question. Normally I believe once it’s ready it can sit a few days before it would cancel out. However given it’s the X and people will be people I’d call B.B. and make the proper arrangement and a ticket etc for logistics. Respond back so others are aware please. I live Close to B.B. and work from home so I’m the wrong stalker to confirm that lol
