I don't think that is a fair comparison :p

It's not, but tiny little heads are exploding over the popularity of the larger phones and they have no friends to complain to so they do hit and run posts, ridiculous ones like this one, on forums. Probably something to do with that old saying about small hands. (wink, wink, nudge, nudge.)

I stopped into a Best Buy a few hours ago to check out both versions that they have on display. First I picked up the iPhone 6. Nice phone, noticeable larger than my iPhone 5 and comfortable to hold. They were tied down so I couldn't see how it would fit in my pocket but I think I could forget which pocket it was in. Then I went for the 6 Plus. The damn thing is huge! I find that I can still use it with one hand if I wanted to. Just have to reach a little farther. The split screen in things like iMessage looked a little different. Better/more spread out. It was in the middle of a phone and an iPad Mini. I out my 5 over the 6 Plus. The Plus made it look tiny. I couldn't try the pocket test with this one either but I think it would be very noticeable. I wouldn't mind having one but I think the 6 is right for me. Bigger and better than what I have now but not as noticeable as carrying the 6 Plus.

I have zero regrets, my 6+ was delayed until Monday but I saw an opportunity to pickup a 6+ same capacity but gold and went for it. I love it. No regrets. I'm going to give the silver one coming Monday to my wife. She's going to try to switch to for a gold

Dude, give her the gold one. Happy wife, happy life.

Just sayin'...

Anybody who care what others think because it sticks out of the top of their shirt pocket, should not own a smartphone. Smartphones are for smart people, not those who are vain. Most shirt pockets are 4.75 inches deep. So it sticks out 1.5 inches. Such a tragedy. Get a life.

Lol.
I need to "get a life", 'eh?

Yeah. There's nothing wrong with that. It could even one day save your life. Stop a bullet. Like a body armor plate.

I got the Plus because I wanted a HD screen. Real HD, not Apple marketing retina definition of HD. 1920x1080. I've been jonesing for an HD iPhone since I saw the first HD screen on a mobile device. And that they put that awesome screen in such a small and thin device is bonus.

You realise you can't tell the difference, right? There are two or three good reasons for buying the Plus if you fancy carrying around a handset that size, but resolution isn't one of them. Especially when the Plus over-renders then scales down.

Maybe you actually need to measure your shirt pocket, not use an image of a child's shirt pocket. People are so very clueless. 4.75 inches deep. Give it a try before you act like a fool. Dress shirts are 5 inches deep. Again, give it a try.

Yeah, well, I'm not falling for the Apple reality distortion field. 1920x1080 is dabomb. That's what I wanted. Real HD. It looks freakin awesome.

And yes, resolution is one of them. And PPI. Both the highest Apple has ever put on an iPhone. About time.

Hey, kids deserve iPhones too!

Fair enough. I wasn't either, but I've tested screens above the 'reality distortion field' and I can't tell the difference, so I'm happy with my 6, regardless of the specs.

If you were concerned about resolution so much, there are handsets available that eat the 6+ for breakfast.

Not me, or my wife. After using it all day, I feel that my 5 is actually a small phone rather than my 6+ being "big".

Yeah, I lusted over them for years. The Lumia 1520 is just an amazing phone. And the new quad HDs are crazy. But indeed, the "concept" of retina, where there's a point where normal humans can't tell the difference, is a valid one. But dang it I wanted to gaze upon iOS, not Android. I did my Android tour of duty. I like it. I think it's superior to iOS in certain aspects. But I came back. I preferred the iOS "experience" with a MBA, iPhone and iPad. It's simpler and more elegant. But every time a new Nexus would come my little iPhone would cry in shame.

Well, now it's still not king of the hill, but it's at least in the same zip code!

The multitude of threads and posts of supposed 6+ buyers having "regrets" and exchanging for a 6 reeks of desperation and a sad need for validation. It's very sad.

No offense, but pretty much all of your recent posts have been a cry for others to acknowledge that the 6+ is superior, to the point where you are one of very few posters here whose comments I can always recognize without having to see a name or avatar. As a neutral observer who sees neither model as inherently better for all users, you strike me as the one who craves validation most of all.

This just makes me very sad... :(

I like both of them. I thought for sure I'd get the 6+ but after playing with it in the store, I knew in the long run the slightly smaller 6 would be better for my usage case: one-handed and taking to the gym/running, etc.

6+ is still an awesome phone though... to each his own.

drive with the knees silly goose

See? Easy.
