Maybe it will just take a little time to get used to.

That's every sign of buyer's remorse and denial right there... I got to the store to see both the 6/6+, and that 6+ is just ginormous! If you keep it I suspect you'll just end up hating it more and more as time goes by... that's a size that will either work for some people and just won't for others.

The 6+ is a great mini tablet - but its also an oversized smartphone.

I suspect there will be plenty of 6+ buyers in semi denial thus the hate for these kinds of topics on the forum, but to each their own, just realize whatever choices you make you'll have to live with. Might be better to return/swap if one size isn't working out for you.

Not me. Of course it's going to take a while to get used to. It took me a while to get used to the 5 from the 4, because the 5 was so light.

I went to an Apple Store today to play with the 6 plus to see how it feels, while I wait for mine to arrive. It was defently huge, but I can see myself getting used to it real quick. My only concern is how easy it might slip out of my hand.

I've had my plus since 8am on release day. I've loved every minute of it until I put jeans on this morning and tried to sit down with it in my front pocket. It's pretty uncomfortable and no I'm not wearing skinny jeans. I do have the Ballistic case which may be contributing to the uncomfortableness.

The only thing that creates these threads annoying are those that come here and have nothing constructive to say other than...lord, another one of these posts? maybe if that didn't happen, then people wouldn't have to search and search.

What's even more annoying is people who complain about posters who complain about duplicate threads. #

Sweet spot for me is 5-5.2"

I got the iPhone 6 mostly for app development testing. My main phone will be a Moto X, which is superior in all ways as far as software and general user experience is concerned. As to screen size, 4.7 inch is a tad too small for me and 5.5 too big. I had the 1st gen Moto X 4.7", then accidentally destroyed it and had to get the Nexus 5, which was almost perfect size wise, and think the 5.2" 2nd gen Moto X will be perfect for me. But I'm tall and have relatively big hands. So I think Apple should have offered two choices, 4.3" and 5" to best meet user demands.

Just adding my 2c. Before the rumor mill got going months ago I was hoping apple would go to a 5-5.1in phone similar to the Galaxy S4/5, but of course they went .4in smaller and .4in bigger so I was left with a tough choice. I considered both VERY seriously before making my decision and picked up the plus.

When I first started using it there was a definite omg what have I done feeling as I went from a tiny 4.0in phone for a phone that's bigger than a Galaxy Note. However, just 2 days of use later and I'm loving it. I've adjusted how I grip slightly, but 1 handed use is not a problem. When playing games, browsing the web, watching videos, etc it's just amazing. I have a full size iPad and already see myself using the 6+ in situations where I would have felt necessary to snag the iPad before. My big worry was a non issue, it fits in my shorts, jeans, and work pants with no tightness or bulge or pressure on the phone when I sit.

I was changing settings on my wife's 4.7in and while it's a great phone and perfect for her, I couldn't get over how much smaller it felt, I can't even imagine touching a 4in iPhone 5 at this point!

Not pushing anyone else any direction, the 4.7 was perfect for my wife, she loves the extra size and it's still very comfortable for her. I have no regrets I purchased the 6+ and the few if any usability and portability sacrifices are more than made up for by the beauty of the large crisp screen when using the phone.

Thanks!!

Not me, or my wife. After using it all day, I feel that my 5 is actually a small phone rather than my 6+ being "big".

I jumped in on the iPhone 5 because of its at the time - new Larger screen but I still struggled with it when trying to type and view maps/directions. Sure the phone slipped in most every pocket comfortably but when I actually wanted to be productive with it I kept wishing it had a larger screen.

So the 6plus is finally what I hoped for, much easier to type and watching full-screen video is actually an enjoyable experience. i can also now show my other sight impaired friends photos on my phone without them having to pull out reading glasses and squinting.

The 6plus isn't going to be higher maintenance to carry around but to me its worth the tradeoff. Fits in my front jeans pocket and shirt pocket. Yes it sticks out of the shirt pocket but as I mentioned in another thread it's the modern day tech version of the geeky pocket protector with pens and pencils sticking out. :p

I also have a hunch that the owners of the 6plus will much more willing to buy the Apple Watch when it comes out as to avoid having to pull it out of wherever the phone may be when getting a text or call ;)

I've decided because everyone else likes the iPhone 6 that maybe I should just go back to the iPhone 6 rather than the iPhone 6+ that I have now.

I will admit I'm a bit concerned about the size and dropping it. But I've also got 6 years of muscle memory with 3.5-4" iPhones. It's just going to take paying extra attention until handling it becomes routine.

I equate it to going from a small coupe to a larger sedan. At first you are more cautious and deliberate with everything you do. But eventually you get a feel for the larger dimensions and it becomes 2nd nature.

Don't get me wrong I love the screen size and I have big hands, but it's really big and was actually debating getting the 4.7 screen. But decided not too. It's a beautiful phone but it's just kinda hard to hold on to it. Maybe it will just take a little time to get used to. Anyone else in this boat.

I'll say this.

I had a Note 1, loved it. Various smaller phones, then the note 3. After 3 months, the size of it got to me. I was more mobile for work and it's size was a constant hassle even with a holster(I'd hit every single obstacle going from office to office, etc.

The size you adjust to, you will love the real estate it offers but the carrying part was my issue. I opted with the 4.7 this round, just right and everyone has their preference. Ideally it would have been nice for most retailers to offer demo units for people to mess with as most of the regret from others I know was that they didn't expect it to be that big or small (both phones ). Your still able to return the phone if you so choose(carrier 14 day return). If your doubting now, exercise your right to exchange it before it's to late.

Who regrets their 6 plus?

It felt kind of big initially, but I have become accustomed to it and I now wonder how I ever lived without this screen. It's glorious.

The 6+ is a great mini tablet - but its also an oversized smartphone.

I have had some hand cramp and have decent size medium large hands. It does get a bit tough to hold one handed but I've had it for 24 hours. I also ended up going down to the store and getting an Apple leather case though I have always gone without because I was worried about it slipping with the rounded edges. It is lighter and more comfortable without the case. I have ordered a couple Spigen light clear cases that will arrive this week. I'll see how that is. I love the screen and other features but haven't made a final decision. I agree that 5.0-5.2 would have been the sweet spot. But I understand why they did it.

If you really want to be shocked, go grab an iPhone 4 and use that for a second.

Haha already done. I tried holding my 5 after using this for a few days and it felt so small and light. Still prefer the larger screen though, web browsing is so nice. Don't have to constantly pinch and zoom anymore. :)

So I think Apple should have offered two choices, 4.3" and 5" to best meet user demands.

There seems to be a lot of demand for 5.5" so maybe they were right going for big big with the Plus. Although a part of me suspects that not everyone buying a Plus is really getting it because they want the form factor of a 5.5" phone... the lack of a true HD display on the 4.7" iPhone 6 is likely a big factor too. The optical image stabilization and increased battery life are likely factoring into the decision as well.

But I do think having a true HD display on the 4.7" would likely have skewed the comparisons more favorably to people picking a screen size that suits them instead of having some chasing the spec sheet of the 6+.

How is the 6 Plus in a holster?

I am sold on the 6 plus, as I don't mind using the phone with 2 hands, if needed.

I am concerned about how it will be to carry this thing in my hip in a holster. For those that have the 6 Plus, how is it carrying it our hip?

Thanks...

I've never seen a hip holster case for the 6+...
