Just a heads up

I've had the 12 for a while. Of course I lust after the 9.7 as any Apple junkie would :D

Point is, there are quite a few books the Kindle will display well on the 12 that don't work nearly as well on the 9.7, either with formating, of just simply ergonomics/usability. This applies mostly to books with graphics. Often, the transfer of books to the Kindle format is not done optimally, and will render poorly on a 9.7 screen.

This also likely applies to a variety of books and magazines and pdfs, in various formats.

No. I'll keep the 12.9" and buy the 9.7" too, if I find it useful.

I agree, I still have my iPad 4, and just ordered the 12.9" Pro for different reasons. These both compliment my 21.5" iMac. Different tools for different situations. Although it can get expensive! :)

Want to trade? o_O

I love love my 9.7" but I can't help but think... side-by-side PDFs and notability sounds so nice....

The 12.9" isn't mobile. It's heavy and limited in usage. The 9.7" is definitely mobile and serves as a notebook for me at all times. Yes I sold my 12.9" already. Buying it was a mistake.

I concede that if I'm bringing the 12.9" model in my backpack, I might as well be bringing my laptop. It's really the screen real estate I'm interested in. That said, I really do love the smaller model. Perfect for notes on a desk.

From the way you speak in absolutes, it seems like you don't believe "mobile" is a relative term. Also what do you mean by "limited in usage" (which is also relative)? Compared to what? A MacBook? Then the 9.7 is even more limited. Or do you mean 9.7 is more useful because it's more mobile? Yeah but if mobility is the definition of usefulness then an iPhone is the only device you need. Different focuses for different uses, my friend.

I don't find the 12.9 is too large to be portable and I have small hands too (I'm a 5'1" female). It's much lighter than my 13" macbook pro. Of course I still have my MBP but mostly for file management now. Or the few programs I cant seem to duplicate on iOS. Like Dreamweaver. I can code HTML in Coda, but can't find a good visual HTML editor.

I just did a search in the App Store for "web design." It turned up some apps that look like they could be what you are looking for, though I haven't really read through the descriptions yet, or tried any of them, so don't know how well they actually perform.
