Mildly frustrated by my MB as a system, and very disappointed as a piece of hardware. It's falling apart. I don't mind paying a premium to use OSX - but I want a properly built machine when I do.

I'm sorry to hear that Doug. Obviously not every single machine is built with no problems or flaws, I'd guess you just had some bad luck with you MB.

I guess my main reason to get a Mac was because of the OS. I love OSX's layout and style and stablilty and don't mind the extra cost for it.

I have a 2.2 GHz MacBook Pro 15" which is my first "true" Mac -- I've dabbled a bit before with a PowerBook G3 and a snow-white iMac -- and I'm not planning on going back to Windows at all, I absolutely love this computer. Very satisfied with my purchase.

I got my Macbook Pro refurbished about a month ago and everything is going well. No problems with mine, only when I installed iStat. For some reason when I installed it, it started having a sleep issue.

Love my MBP SR 2.4 Ghz, its not perfect, but runs well and does everything I want it to do.

I've been very happy with all my mac laptops (15'' pb, 15'' mbp, 17'' mbp, 13'' mb) Iam really looking forward to getting my mba, it may be the best mac laptop yet! :D

I adore my powerbook lol. Its my favorite Mac I own. Probably will upgrade to a MBP in the future, hoping that will live up to its expectations. This powerbook is wonderful.

I love mine although I do wish Apple had made the edge a little less sharp; depending on the height of the desk you are working at, you really notice the sharp edge digging into your palms/wrists.

Upgrading to 3 (4) GB really made the computer work smoothly, especially with Fusion. Hoping to find a good deal on a 250GB internal at some point as well as this has replaced my aging G5 as my primary computer.

I would love my two Mac laptops, if just one of them would stop exhibiting a new build quality issue every time I turn around. Warping plastic top case, creaking aluminum top case, chirping/hiccuping hard drives, squeaky spacebar.... The list of "minor" issues just piles up, one after another, until it's hard to avoid regretting the purchases.

OS X is the only thing that keeps me using Apple computers.

I love my MacBook it is really great. It looks fantastic, its very fast. The screen is great, it hardly makes any noise when in use. Plus it can double up as a great desktop replacement. And to top it off the OS is simply the best ever, so fast and smooth it does what its supposed to do with out having to mess around with it.

My MacBook is the best computer related product I have ever bought. I'm very very happy with it.

I love my 12" Powerbook G4. She's maxed out, and running Leopard with no problems (except for the Leopard-specific problems..).

They broke the mold when they made the 12" Powerbook.

I love my mbp!

i am in university so everyone has a laptop, and i know at least 20 people who bought the peecees in august and their have either broken, stopped working, or have a virus, a.k.a. vista running on it, to the point where it is unsusable.

my friend accidentally dumped an entire bottle of water on her open mbp keyboard, but it was up and running likr a champ the next day!

i would never not buy an apple, i would actually rather be stuck never using a computer for the rest of my life, than have to use windows full time.

I love my MBP so much that I bought a 12" PB. This way my MBP can stay home and be "safe" when I travel. I know it defeats the purpose of a laptop but oh well...

i did the same. i use the mbp as a desktop. the thing is, i'm never at my desk. i've had my powerbook for a week now, and i've realized i don't really need a mbp for what i do. however, it sure is nice having it on my desk looking very, very nice.

Is your Sig right, only 80gig HDD? Thats a new MB also.

My Macbook has been great ever since I got it. I have used it very little as a portable (mostly it stays on my desk hooked to an external kb/mouse/monitor), but I have used it on the road a few times and it has worked quite well. I showed it to a co-worker Friday (a die-hard PC fan) and h was suitably impressed, and said he would definitely consider a Mac next time. I also just got an iMac 24" at work and everybody is ooh-ing and aah-ing over it, and threatening to steal it away from me. I never knew a computer would draw so much attention!

I just upgraded from a MB to a MBP. The MBP overall is a much better machine. The build quality is godly compared to the MBP. The screen is bright and graphics are sweet. Overall the aluminum is much nicer looking then the white/black. MBP was easily the best computer I have ever bought.

I haven't had one problem with my MacBook at all.

Okay, well, one problem but it was related to some preference file. That doesn't count. :p

Everything works like new. :)

Another satisfied user of a 12" powerbook. My first and only mac 3.5 years ago. One of my best purchases ever

Funny how the 12" PowerBook users always chip in to these threads en masse.

I have owned a lot of computers over the years, including several Macs. I can say hand on heart that the G4 PowerBook is by far the best computer I have ever owned. It's simply perfect in every way. I desperately want to replace it with an Intel, but there is nothing that comes close.

I like the MacBook Air, but it needs 4gb RAM and a 160gb HD before I can take it seriously. Until then, 1ghz PowerPC, 1.25gb ram wrapped in a 12" aluminum box remains my portable solution. Damn thing is just too good to retire even after 4.5 years. I don't keep my cars that long!
