I've had my 2.2 GHz MacBook Pro (base except the 160GB disk) for a week now, and love it more each day. It runs Leopard and Vista Ultimate perfectly, and all my apps run better than on my old iBook. What's there not to like?

im more than happy with my first mac. i bought my macbook about 7 months ago for college and absolutely love it. i came from a gateway desktop pc and havent been disappointed yet. :D

i love my Macbook. I just wish Apple had put SantaRosa in it before i bought it (i have the late June model) ... i would have liked that graphics boost... oh well.

Very happy with my MBP I bought a year ago in Oct. No complaints so far. Hopefully this will last me another year or so and I'll get a new one :)

Only had my MB for a few weeks, so can't speak to durability, but w/4GB and my new Hitachi 7200RPM, 200GB drive, the thing screams. Love it so far, and using it convinced me that I want Leopard on my iMac now. There goes another $109!:D

This probably should have been a poll, but I have zero complaints about my 17" MBP.

This is surprising, even to me, because I broke rule #1 and bought a new product immediately after release--in this case, I pre-ordered after the initial 17" MBP was first announced, and mine was among the first wave shipped.

But even though it was prime for all those wonderful new-product glitches, I've had none--rock solid in the past 1.5 years of heavy (8+hrs, including heavy lifting video encodes and such) daily use. In fact, for a period of several months when I was unable to speak, this computer was quite literally my only way of interacting with the world (built in speech synthesis), and it never once failed me. (I did have one of the bad "puffy" batteries, and wore one adapter out, but both replaced immediately under warranty.)

Ok, the silver inlay in the "c" in "MacBook Pro" under the screen fell out, but I'll accept that.

I'm So happy with my Macbook, that I'm giving my primary gaming desktop to my brother.
The Macbook ran all of my games fine :) It does everything I need. Plus it looks f****** sexy.
:D

Totally Happy with my MBP. Had it for over a year and have no desire, or issues that would ever make me want to leave :apple: again. The perfect beast.......

Love mine

I have a stock MBP 2.4Ghz (upgraded to 4GB ram), and it is perfect aside from a little heat. I love it. Best screen I've ever had on a laptop, and my tired old eyes even appreciated the lowish 1440x900 resolution.

happy with my powerbook...keeping it possibly another year....

or until I can get a real next generation macbook pro.

Loved my MacBook Pro 2.0 Core Duo..I actually just shipped it away to the new owner via fedex this afternoon..I am now posting to you from a 17inch 2.4ghz Core 2 Duo :)

My old faithful aluminum G4 is still chugging along and looks like new. I'm pleased.

But G4 speed doesn't cut it, and I want light weight. Time for my new MacBook Air :)

As a new user of 6 months, I like my MB but am still getting it set up as I want and finding all the apps I need to do things I want (I replaced the HD and installed Leopard on Christmas Day :) )

Generally, I am content with the MB, but am eagerly awaiting the arrival of 10.5.2 to sort out the problems.

My MBP is the best computer I've had thus far. I love this thing; OS X just makes it all the sweeter.

Kick ass

I love my MBP, its over 3 months old, and is great. The only thing bad about it is I "upgraded" to leopard, and the OS is sometimes finicky, the mouse will lag and wake will be delayed. But that is not the MBP, it is the OS..hoping for them to fix it in 10.5.2.
One other thing that bothers me is it gets realllllly frickin hot.

I love my hot and sexy MBP. Working on it is a true pleasure and it never disappoints.:D

I'm gonna get a mac soon. I've never owned one but I just know i'll love it lol. Macs are different from PCs somehow. With PCs, you die for upgrades all the time and there's no sentimental connection to the machine. But macs are like your first car. You take care of it and keep using for a very long time. Even if the hardware gets outdated (like a car's engine), the look's are timeless (like a muscle car or something).

Guaging Mac Share out there

I frequent coffee shops in southern California. I work there over a cup of coffee. Programming and writing....

My ad hoc assesement is that more and more of my fellow coffee shop goers are using Macs. It used to be one in ten. Now it is more like four or five in ten.

Places like coffee bean, swork and starbucks....

I think I'm content for the moment with my 15" powerbook. I had sold my macbook about 4 months back in anticipation of an ultraportable macbook pro and bought the powerbook to hold me over. So far it's been pretty solid and I upgraded it to Leopard. I'm not too excited about the macbook air and I think I'm just going to save my money for when this powerbook bites the dust or the next installment of OS X is released. We'll see though. So far I haven't been able to hold on to a main laptop for more than 6 months.
