Rocking a silver iPhone 6 128gb naked!! Way too sexy to cover up. And the cold metal against skin is perfect. People say if you don't get a case it will be cracked... Only if you drop it! I am coming from a Note 3 so this phone is so much smaller and easier to grip!

Spigen Air Skin 0.4mm and a Zagg tempered glass screen protector. It's nearly naked. Can't bring myself to go full frontal but it still feels 99.9% like it.

Those using their 6 n 6 plus naked. Any issues, problems, regrets?

I just got mine a week ago so no regrets. Haha
Better keep it that way! I have insurance if something happens. I'm going to buy a case that you attach to a belt clip to put my phone in... Cause at work I put my phone in a draw and that will keep it from getting scratched. But besides that she will be naked for all to see!

Depends on how often you drop a phone I guess...
When I got my Note 3 I consciously held it tighter than normal so I wouldn't drop it and now I do it without noticing. Try that if you want to go naked.

Not using any screen protectors, cause I feel that the screen is gorgeous and its should not be inhibited.

Using an Apple leather with it, like what many others have said, it doesn't add bulk and adds that "protection" against scratches on the back. I already have a sweet little scruff line across my Apple logo at the back so yeah, just to prevent any more of that! At times I completely forget I even have a case there, even though it's red. Red with white/gold front looks pretty sweet too.

Carry mine with an Apple leather case, but I often remove it when I'm going to be using it in one place for a while.

almost 2 months with 6 plus -- no case -- . . .

and nary a scratch. Why do people buy cases -- I don't get the whole case thing? Seems unnecessary -- adds weight, bulk and doesn't do anything if you drop the screen face down.

And, by the way -- its NOT naked with no case. No case is the default -- normal, the way its supposed to be. Stop saying "naked". Say normal or cased.

Actually the term "naked" is apt... if YOU are not wearing clothes YOU will be naked... not normal or "clothed".

Unless of course you were born with clothes on... then I stand corrected. :p

No. The term "naked" (made up by those who think cases are necessary) implies there is something improper or inappropriate. In this instance we are talking about consumer electronics or inanimate objects, not human beings. I know of no requirement for adding clothing to electronics. Hence, the normal state is as purchased. If people want to add on stuff, that's the abnormal state.

The default here is NOT cased. It is as purchased. So let's talk about encased or as purchased then (if "normal" doesn't fit the bill).

So we have: cased or uncased
abnormal or normal
added on or as purchased
superfluous product or no unnecessary encumbrances

NOT clothed or naked

I am not "rocking my 6 plus naked". I am not using a case since I see little or no utility to it. Mine is normal or "as purchased". Those who encased are abnormal or adding on. Or how about just: case or no case.

You could not be more incorrect. Everyone I know who uses the term "naked" in reference to a phone case is the one who does so proudly referring to their own phone. THIS THREAD proves that by the number of people who are holding up their case-free devices and using the term.

"What case do you use?"

"None! Naked, bro!"

That's how I used it as well.

Also, as a guy with an English degree, the sheer amount of pointless "implied intentions" you started cramming into it, like we're discussing Victorian-era societal norms, gave me a freaking nosebleed.

Actually the term "rocking my phone naked" is just a cute way of saying sans case but it is a perfectly apt term. If I buy a doll and strip it of all it's clothing is it "naked"? But if I buy a different set of clothes for it and dress it is it clothed? Yes, even though it's an inanimate object it can still be naked. Just as the marketing term of NAKED brand juices because allegedly there are no additives (I don't believe it).

Your definition of it being "inappropriate" is some weird juvenile hang up that either your parents or society put on you.

Naked/Nude is only seen as a negative connotation cause of weird religious views.

Naked just means "natural" which is the same definition as "not cased" as that is how it came out of the box.

For the record, I use a case for a few reasons:

1. The bare metal is too slippery for my hands.

2. I like the visual appeal of the red leather (it matches my car).

3. I put one of those magnet stickers on the back to use with a car mount and the case covers it so it doesn't look weird.

I had a case on my ip4 because I found the sharp edges uncomfortable. I used the ip5 naked because it's pretty light and the edges were not as bad.

The ip6 are even more comfortable to hold, except for the width which make it a bit unwieldy (but I love the screen, so it's a good trade off).

The main reason I rock my ip6 naked is that I have an Atelier Pall wallet on order. I have been using one with my ip5 for the last 2 years and love it. Both the wallet and my phones are still in mint condition.

This is what I don't get with AppleCare. How bad does your phone need to be before you can get a replacement? I mean, if I got a scratch on the back or "dink" surely they wouldn't replace it? I thought the phone had to be unusable before they'd replace it?

i am sure there are ways for it to hit the concrete in the future :p

...Why do people buy cases -- I don't get the whole case thing? Seems unnecessary -- adds weight, bulk and doesn't do anything if you drop the screen face down...
Because I don't treat my phone like a piece of fine art. It get tossed in my backpack on my dirt bike, bumps around in a pouch while off-roading in my UTV, sits out in the back yard around the pool, rattles around on the dashboard of my boat (where it often gets splashed), goes in the lake with me to take pictures/videos, etc. My phones don't go from home to an office cubicle to Starbucks and back - they get treated pretty rough.

I've used a LifeProof case on my last 2 iPhones, and one will be going on the 6+ as soon as they come out with it. I don't care about aesthetics and don't consider a phone a status symbol to be shown off....I just want it to work and keep working. I was certainly glad my phone wasn't "naked" the day I accidentally dumped it out of the side pocket of an ice chest and it spent 2 minutes in 12 feet of water at the bottom of the lake. If I had been enjoying the tactile and aesthetic beauty of a "naked" iPhone, it would have been toast. Instead, it still works perfectly. Just for good measure, I shot a few underwater videos with it later in the day.

So I do understand why people buy cases, and why they're sometimes necessary. I'll gladly accept the tradeoff in (negligible) weight and bulk in return for the needed (for me) protection. I even go for redundancy and purchase AppleCare+ for my phones.

But I suggest your instance is not the typical scenario. People aren't generally talking about life proof cases that will help if dropped in a lake, not to mention a toilet.

No, I'll admit that mine is definitely not the typical scenario. I was just responding to your wonderment about why people buy cases to give you an example of why some might.

Every chance I get I keep taking the leather off and handling the raw phone and love it much better.

Wondering how you nudist place your naked phone down on surfaces (coffee table, bar, etc)?
Face down...face up?

I used to rock no case from 2g iPhone to 5s. But this current 6 plus feels great with an apple leather case. Without it feels too thin. And slippery.

I also had AppleCare before and while I used it, I decided to take better care of my iPhone.
