My iPhone 5s definitely has several very minor nicks and chips along the sides and on the back from a year of usage with no cases. Nothing that can be seen at a glance, but they are there.

That's my conundrum when I upgrade to the 6d next year. I can still get away with this as the iPhone 4s and 5s were small, compact and easier to handle. The 6 and 6+ are larger and harder to hold.

and nary a scratch. Why do people buy cases -- I don't get the whole case thing? Seems unnecessary -- adds weight, bulk and doesn't do anything if you drop the screen face down.

And, by the way -- its NOT naked with no case. No case is the default -- normal, the way its supposed to be. Stop saying "naked". Say normal or cased.

I have to disagree. I buy a case primarily because I find the iPhones since the iPhone 4 to be too slippery. I buy a case because I find the phones easier to hold on to with a case on. Also, cases do help protect against screen breakage from drops.

Not sure how that would really help much, since the screen itself isn't covered.

Pics of what -- non existent scratches?

All wrapped up having dropped and broken screens on every previous one. No glove = no love IMHO. Yes, she is beautifully designed but I shall cover her so that others do not covet her and so I can feel a little more at ease when I do drop her. My iPad is a he by the way, just in case I am branded a sexist

Who's rocking their 6 naked?

I had the 6+ in an apple leather case since launch, until this week.
The phone is noticeably smaller without the case and the curved display is more apparent as well. Without a doubt ergonomics is much better without a case.
In the hand it feels much better than the note 4 or nexus 6, primarily due to the iPhone 6+'s thin frame and thinner width.

I don't have the cajones to do it. I'll use a slim Power Support Air Jacket which is pretty much the next best thing to nude.

I had a case on my ip4 because I found the sharp edges uncomfortable. I used the ip5 naked because it's pretty light and the edges were not as bad.

The ip6 are even more comfortable to hold, except for the width which make it a bit unwieldy (but I love the screen, so it's a good trade off).

The main reason I rock my ip6 naked is that I have an Atelier Pall wallet on order. I have been using one with my ip5 for the last 2 years and love it. Both the wallet and my phones are still in mint condition.

That is a beautiful case my friend!!!

My 6 Plus is naked. I have Apple Care on it. I do have the black leather case that I'll use if needed.

Wondering how you nudist place your naked phone down on surfaces (coffee table, bar, etc)?
Face down...face up?

No idea why you'd want to place it face down. The screen is the part you want to protect most, and if it's face up you can see notifications that come in. People are stressing too much about the camera poking out, in my opinion.

I've used a couple of different kinds of cases on my 6 Plus but I always seem to go back to using nothing. It feels better and above all is so much easier to take out and put in my pocket.

I am rocking my 6+ naked with no Apple Care. I refuse to put on any case or screen protector on my awesome looking iPhone. Well, I did try to look for good looking case but so far I couldn't find anything to my liking.

I kept my 4s naked for the full 2 years I owned it, I upgraded to a 5s and was planning on keeping it naked until I dropped it on a tennis court and scratched the side, I immediately became paranoid and went out and bought the Apple leather case, Im very happy because believe it or not the case saved my phone after being ran over by a pickup truck! Although the case was destroyed.. I'd rather buy a new 40 dollar case then a new 600 dollar phone!

What is that? A skin? Is it textured enough to add grip?

Yea a back wrap from slick wraps. I got just plain, not carbon fiber texture, and still pretty rough. Still fits in all the cases I have, too. Drop protection, 0 & scratch protection high. I use paired with Zagg glass screen protector when I don't feel like a case. The Slickwraps.com are only like $10 and have sales/free shipping and stuff all the time so if you want a different color or tear yours up, no big loss. By the way it looks like that covers the sides, top, and bottom, too. Are the sides separate pieces of wrap, or is the entire wrap one piece?

I've had my iPhone 6+ in a case since day one. A few days ago I took it out of the case to wipe off accumulated dust along the edges... and I fumbled with it and dropped it on concrete floor :(

A nasty ding in the upper left corner. Hope it won't affect resale value too badly :p

Tell me more. I am normally not a wrap kind of guy, but the slickness of the 6 make me consider something like this. How does it feel?

I'm rocking my 6 Plus naked...only when I'm home around carpet. Lol. Outside...case goes back on it.
