No. I’m honestly just debating on side of OP regarding XSM. I agree with them even though I wouldn’t use it. The phone is mkre than capable and many would like it.
i'll agree with you. It *can* handle it, but it's not implemented. I wouldn't use it if it was implemented, and I honestly do not care one way or the other..

oh so if i'm wrong on the true split screen on the ipad then that should piss people off MORE. they could easily implement it on the xs max but just choose not to.

it would be a cool feature. that's all....

Honestly i'd like to see usage data on split screen.
How many actually use it, and not a one time thing.

Me personally i've done it once or twice on my iPad, but it's kinda meh for me.
65" TV or half an ipad?
99% of the time i'm using the ipad it's in the house, it does go with me on vacation.. but I go to the woods, I have no internet anyway.
I’ve seen people doing it for years. I don’t get it personally. Never intended to trigger folks but OP is right IMO. It’s not something hard to implement. Maybe research stats while watching a game? Lots of people bet. I don’t.

Good point, I can see it for stats etc during a game.
But yeah, Just watch it on the bigger screen and use the phone for the stat look up.

And the OP doesn't get it, i'm not disagreeing either.. But if you follow the OP's posts in the past few days (at least what i've seen in a few threads here) it's all Pro Android, and trash Apple.
"My Android can do this, your Apple can't. Apple sucks, Android is great" Is then proven wrong, bashes the poster and trashes apple more.
OP is kinda bringing the arguments on them self.

Fair point. I’ve been here long time. I do agree it should be an option. I loathe Android though.

Although this feature doesn’t seem to be a request by the majority of iPhone users I personally have wanted PIP on iPhones for a long time.

That being said I thing watching 2 vids at the same time is a bit overkill and would probably cause a lot of new threads complaining about battery life lol.

Since the beginning of Android vs iOS (I was there) Android has been push the limits & iOS has prioritized security and stability.

People make their decisions. I think Google is a trash company who lies to their customers. I have friends in law-enforcement that LOVE Android users and loathe Apple security. I still think the functionality should be there but as they have done for a decade, Apple has made decisions to optimize & control the Apple experience. If this is a deal-breaker, Apple isn’t for you. Many are willing to give up features less than 5% of user-base would use to improve a core value, stability. I’m guessing here but point is the same.

I love using this feature on my pixel 2 xl.
But i would really want that on ios at least for the Max. Yes i do have a ipad pro but come on it’s not as convenient to have on a big 6.5 inch screen phone that i can toss in my pocket.

Sorry OP, I might have missed it, but are you an iPhone user or not?

I don’t understand because if you are I can’t figure out why you bought a phone that doesn’t perform the functions that you want, and if you’re not, I don’t understand why you’re here or why you made this thread.

ive owned every iphone from the beginning up to the x. got the note 9 and found this wonderful feature. posted here wondering why this simple feature isn't on ios. simple enough?

I guess, but what sort of response are you expecting to get?

Enjoy your Note 9!

apparently a bunch from some very sensitive apple lovers.

and thanks. its pretty good but the camera sucks enough that its almost a deal breaker

I use split screen so much on my Note. I have been wanting to come back to iOS, but this really has been keeping me from coming back. Only because I use it that much.

i started a discussion. pretty valid one if you ask me. apple should be killing android on features with their chip. plain and simple. yet their best use of the big screen is making the icons bigger....

btw you can have all the opinion you want, but why do you want to keep being in a thread on something you said you dont even care about? shouldn't you go discuss things that you care about and interests you?

This is an Apple forum. You're not allowed to discuss Android features here no matter how awesome they may be. You're not allowed to have your own opinion. My mid-range Android phone can do split screen apps but it's not as nice as yours. Therefore I don't like that fact and we can't be open to a discussion. I hope you understand. Thank you

I’m confused. Thou it’s convenient on a 9.7 inch iPad. Iono if I need this on my max. It’ll still be kinda cluttered.

Can you truly split screen the video or is that the biggest it will get?

And yeah I'd rather watch stuff on my projector but I've found myself using the feature in bed or when I'm out and about. I've never used split screen in my life but now find myself using it much more than I thought I would.
