The "if it aint broke" line simply doesnt work with technology. You can always improve on things.

You know what happens when you DO go by that philosophy? You stagnate.

While this is true, you also need priorities.

Not in this case, where it would take literally one or two people no time at all....

Its not a matter of this over that, this was done AS WELL as that.

What's the auto button do? and I like that the previous and next buttons are now attached to each other

Were they actual "visual bugs" or were they just design changes?

1. Turning Mail.app sideways with the search enabled causes the buttons to not line up correctly.

2. In Maps and the App Store, the buttons for stuff like "Top Free" and "Top Paid" at the top of the App gets cut off too soon on the right side... it looks like it's missing a pixel.

3. Keyboard drop shadows are missing for letters that are close to the edge of the screen such as "P" and "Q".

4. The auto-correct text that appears as a suggested word sits too low inside the bubble. It was more centered in 2.2.1. Stuff like the bottoms of "y" and "g" get cut off.... it looks weird.

5. The search field in spotlight looks blurry because of the drop shadow on a black background. They should do something about this.

6. The new icons look terrible. (Messages, Voice Notes and Phone)

7. The keyboard is brand new. They changed the font for the keys and made the letters look inset or beveled into the keys. This isn't a bug, it's just an observation of the changes to the keyboard.

8. Pressing the bookmark buttons while in Safari landscape results in really odd graphical behavior.

9. The blinking text indicator disappears in Safari when typing in any field on a web page.

10. Tapping icons on the springboard no longer dims the icon before launch unless you hold your finger on it for a split second. Quickly tapping it doesn't show the dim.

11. The keyboard key pop-up previews are wider now in landscape mode. They used to be skinny like the regular pop-up view, but now they're extra wide.

Some of them could be just changes that I don't like, but some are clearly glitches.

If 3.0 comes out in reasonable time without any major problems, I will concede to that. It is much to early to say though.

I noticed that they made the keys wider in the landscape keyboard so that they're tighter to each other now (sort of like the portrait keyboard). I'm not sure how that will help, but it looks a little better.

Honestly, I have to say the new keyboard is subtly much better.

For anyone else who is interested... they've made the keyboard MUCH more responsive. The pop-ups don't lag like they did in 2.x. They're more like 1.1.4 now. It's very lag-free. Wait until you feel this... it's hard to explain... it just flows better now.

I have to agree. The new keyboard is very responsive and typos seem to be kept to a minimum, even when typing super sonic speed.

So you first complained about them changing it, and now you're loving it...
