I mean seriously. Sure there is a thread about this here and there but no news site reports this or any reviewer.

My iPhone 13 pro max AND my M1 iPad stutter very often when scrolling. Even in safari. How has this not been solved yet?
Can you provide a video of the issue which could help us address your concerns?

I installed it on an 8-plus and two iPads, no issues yet. In fact the battery life on my phone seems a little better.

Performance on ios 15.x has definitely been worse for me than with 14.8.1. It's slower. Apps crash. The phone crashes. It takes far longer to open apps. Safari pages take longer to open. And more.

I would go back to 14 if I could.

Performance on 15.x has been very good and smooth for me and, amazingly, that is on an iPhone 7+. My battery (original) is currently in poor health and my device is on the cusp of dropping out of peak performance mode. Yet everything is still running fine, as long as the phone isn't left in the sun allowing it to overheat. I will probably upgrade next year.

The only app crashes I've encountered have been due to issues with particular apps themselves. Some apps do appear to take longer to launch, though.

I feel like the performance should be better but usually it’s ok.

But it lags while scrolling through pdf’s and longer descriptions in play store.

app store? lol. just noticed that this week too, it’s actually pretty serious lag like 1FPS for a certain section

otherwise everything’s ok, OP should do clean install and then monitor when the troubles start

App Store sorry :D Have to get used to it.

Yeah what bothers me the most is, 90% of the bugs people are reporting, are easy to reproduce and should never pass the "quality control".
But just yesterday my 13 pro was performing bad too. All of a sudden my pictures app was lagging a lot and the system too until I force closed the photo app. Looks like bad ram management. Maybe some app is causing OP's performance issues but I wouldnt be surprised if it's just iOS15

Not surprising to me is that iPad Mini and Lightroom - 3GB of RAM - has crashed. No issue on iPhone 13. I do wish Apple would stop with frugal amount, my Galaxy phones have had 8GB, and no, Apple's memory management is just not much better, not today.

Erasing may help insure storage pages are marked as good, and if there are bad sectors they get marked out. System cache rebuilt. Other page pools also.

The phone crashes? What does that look like?

Poor performance is not an issue on any of my devices with iOS 15. I’m not disputing that it may differ for others but my iOS experiences have been largely trouble-free.
?? Not enough people offer that “I’m not disputing” the experiences of others. Thanks!

I’m still on iOS 12.x, and I find the typing lag to be inexcusable, but my comments are entirely irrelevant to this thread, ha ha ha ?

Typing lag on this forum when using the website?
Everywhere. When typing into ANY text box in iOS. iMessage, other apps, and Safari. It’s most egregious when switching between apps. It happens with touchscreen typing and Smart Keyboard typing on my iPad Pro. This problem started suddenly, after not existing. No OS changes were made (it began well after iOS 12 was already abandoned on my device).

I assume it is a service issue. My companion sees the same on her iPhone 8 with iOS 14.8.

The worst typing performance is on Twitter, but that’s also because twitter has bloated scripting (which even interferes with what seems to be the multiple, uncoordinated threads involved in various touch keyboard processes). Twitter keeps a record of our typing even if we don’t submit a tweet (and I don’t mean I’ve saved them as drafts; it has literally repopulated a tweet text box on me after I’ve left a post mode, browsed elsewhere, and then gone back to the same place to comment with a new comment action, not a back-button... which Twitter also breaks).

Buttery smooth here on all my devices.

Don't see how it could be any better.
Maybe open the apps before you press on them could be neat ?

I'm not experiencing a single issue on any of my Apple stuff right now. That's not to say there aren't bugs--I know people are experiencing them--I'm just saying I still haven't had any pop up.

iOS 15 stutters badly when scrolling in the App Store for me. Like it’s impossible not to notice, it’s that bad.

Really doesn’t do it anywhere else that I notice.

So you wait for new awesome features for what? Few slow down during indexing or with fist major releases? Just wait for x.1 before updating. No issue at all here, iOS 15 is fast.

Reading comprehension failure? If you use your devices for more than leisure, say, your bank's app crashes after an iOS update, or your development tools or commands don't work anymore, it's a lot more than a few slow down during indexing.

I'm not hating on Apple, as they're usually better than the alternative. I just know by experience that being a version behind pays. The platforms are mature, "awesome new features" are hardly a thing anymore in the cost / benefit balance if you're left behind with persistent issues.

keyboard at times doesn't pop up on IOS 15 when I try to search.

But with Apple honestly I can't tell much about performance since they all kinda run the same.

11-12-13 IMO opens a webpage or email just as fast.

Performance IMO is more of a android thing.

And I don't game since all the games even Poker are pay now for the most part...

I don't use my iPhone like I should, contemplating getting a pixel 5 or something for basic use, IPhone reliability is second to none though, phone is a tank no complaints, no scratches either.
