Wait 1 year and performance will be horrible thanks to Apple's custom-designed malware.

Not my experience. I’d still be able to use my four year old 8+ as a daily driver without a problem. It’s mostly used as a video camera these days but performance is nowhere near horrible and no mental gymnastics needed for that assessment.

i forgot if i posted here, but we realize just now how we are at the mercy of .
unless they make mojave iOS for 2022.
i did not upgrade to 15.2 yet, and wont

And a Windows machine is at the mercy of MS and an Android dependent on Google…

Sure, if you don't update the device, I'm sure performance will still be good.
But then that completely negates the longer software support "advantage" that Apple fans keep harping about.

Slow down devices. Wreck battery life. Lying/overhyping performance. Massive profit margins. Many cases of Apple abusing its customers.

Not my experience at all. Cannot complain about performance or battery life with the decade of iOS devices I’ve had experience with. Profit margins, performance impressions or battery life anecdotes are not abuse either.

It’s not like Microsoft and Google are Saints but I actually feel more comfortable with them.
Apple gets away with most stuff because it’s treated more like a religion and people always commenting “my phone is running great, get a replacement”.

My 13 Pro Max is running great. iOS 15.2 has actually improved the battery life on my phone which already had amazing battery life.

Although this is an enthusiast forum you can find plenty of criticism here from most members. Labelling things religion just because your experience might differ is just toxic.

Right, tell that to a colleague locked out of her laptop after a Win10 update that apparently did the same for many other users.

Good point. I also suffered through countless boot disks with DOS, the. Endured Win 3.1, 95, 98 and 2000 before that crap was mostly removed from my life. Talk about abuse…

I avoid Google like the plague. Unfortunately, it is impossible to be completely Google free. And how easily we forget about things like this:

I agree with most members here complaining about iOS 15, its not the most polished but then again it may vary case-to-case. Like I said, Safari and Instagram fumbles here and there. But for my case, Microsoft apps work fine. Probably things may worsen over time ?

NOTE: I'm not a heavy user, so maybe that's why I don't face/get the issues what other members face here.

That’s what most people say unrelated to the issues because they don’t want to see it.
Even if it’s actually there.

That’s my experience so far.
You are correct.
There's a video asking people to compare 2 same iPhone models with the host claiming that one version is a newer version. Almost everyone claimed to see better performance and smoother UI on the supposed newer version.

There’s plenty videos of all different kinds of theories out there. Some claim the moon landings never happened, others are convinced Elvis is still alive.

Except this video is further proof that Apple fans pretend to see things that aren't there. They also pretend not to notice lags and stutters.

When you're paying $1000 for a phone, you try all kinds of mental gymnastics to justify your purchase. Otherwise, you end up angry dropping so much money for an inferior product.

Purchase bias exists in plenty places and plenty other phones are expensive too.
Videos by themselves, especially those that aren’t linked, are anecdotal at best. Their scientific significance cannot be judge by reading about them.

"this video", what video?

I have owed Apple devices and computers since 2002. I would not purchase something which I felt is not worth the money. If I had an issue, I would be trying to get it resolved instead of posting in an open forum just to complain about it and do nothing.

I don't think Apple products are perfect and I certainly have had issues. What keeps me coming back to Apple is their customer service and how they have handled and resolved the issues I have had.

You Don’t Have The Right To Complain Unless You’re Willing To Do Something.
