Then the same could be said about Android and Samsung in particular.......Like when Samsung introduced folding phones and how everyone in the Apple forums derided Samsung for making a folding phone. The consensus was who asked for this and who would ever want a folding phone.....yet here we are 2026 and Apple is about to release a folding iPhone and expected to sell 10 million of them......

Who gives a rats behind. Do you know how many things Apple has blatantly copied from Android? Seriously you keep going on and on. Nobody over on this side of the forums cares. I use my 17PM daily and I don’t particularly like everything Liquid Glass. If Samsung implements it to some degree that’s fine. I imagine I’ll also have the ability to do away with it if I decide I don’t like it.
It is my favorite also. Unfortunately my Pixel 10PXL is the least used of my devices. I run my Trifold on my business line continuously and usually alternate between my 17PM and S26U on my personal. I prefer the versatility of the S26U camera and it is usually my weekend device for pics of kids sports, good shots when we are on the lake, or traveling.
Android didn’t implement the Dynamic Island. I don’t see it anywhere on the Pixel. None of my Samsung devices have a Dynamic Island. Honestly the Dynamic Island is just a fancier way of having live notifications. I’ve had live weather and sports notifications in the Android notification shade/bar for a longer time than Dynamic Island has existed. If Samsung is looking at different UI elements, who cares? Mind you, Android went flat first, then Apple dropped the skeuomorphic design. My point is this entire thread is pretty much made up of you crapping on Samsung and Android. Take that crap elsewhere. You love Apple that’s fine, so do I. But this is the alternatives to iOS section. Go have your Apple lovefest in the iOS section.

No rage here, just a suggestion. I co-own a fairly large construction business. If I raged over all the little things I'd probably already be gone from a heart attack.
Its not terrible. But I actually prefer the flat look.
One only has to look at the bold blue and green icons and message bubbles in iOS to see that they were copied from Windows XP, which itself was copied from Fisher Price. That’s the company you owe all the good design element credit to. Fisher Price did it first.

I have to admit that I’m not on board with foldables. I had the much loved Motorola flip phone back in the day, and hated it. I acknowledge there are some who will like it, but struggle to believe it can be anything other than a niche product at the prices they cost. Particularly against a backdrop of rising costs and falling incomes.
You're not wrong for sure. I have tried foldables and found myself unfolding it most of the time. I want a foldable phone that also unfolds into a mini tablet. Like my iPhone 17PM, I want it just the size it is now. Except it unfolds when I want a bigger screen for whatever reason.
Now I would not go THAT far. Vista yes. 95 no.
I had brick phones back in the day before smart phones. When phones were the size of bricks. I moved from those to the startac 3000 then to the 6500. They were awesome because they were acutally able to fit in your pocket, unlike the bricks of the day. Now, the screen in current foldables is so fragile I would never own one and they are the new brick since they are essentially two phones together.
