Has anyone tried a 6/6S+ bumper with great results? I really liked it in my old 6+ but didn't get to try it on the 7+ before I sold it

That's a bummer. I really like the look of that but I need a bumper that protects the camera lens when I lay it on a flat surface. I don't want to have to be super careful.
a lousy solution would be to add a tempered glass protector they already make for it.

---

to add on to the X-Doria Defense Edge bumper...

what I found I didn't like:

- the surface was just too slippery than I'd want.
- there was no way to lie it down without writer the front or treat glass touching. I did have a front tempered glass I was using temporarily, so it probably would have rested on the front lip, which leads my to...
- the front lip from the TPU between body and frame was sharp and stuff. that along with the frame itself was irritating my hand, quick.
the buttons were too flat especially the Power button. it was a similar situation with the Power button on the CrashGuard (which I returned)

I also decided to cancel my Caze ThinEdge. I've almost always stuck with a bumper for all my phones including Galaxies. but bumpers on the 6/7 Plus bodies are just too wonky for me which reminded me of the same experience I had with my 6s Plus which I gave up on. I'll be doing it differently this time.

I had gone and picked up a 7 and have this pretty minimal matte black case which feels awesome in the hand. I can't stop holding it. I loved the feel and shape of it so much I went and got one for my Plus as well.

I received the RhinoShield CrashGuard bumper for my iPhone 7. It's going right back. Nice, high quality bumper, but it totally changes the feel and form factor of the the device. Almost bloats it to iPhone 7+ size and that's not to my liking. I'm considering the Caze ThinEdge, although I have my doubts based on the feedback on the forums. My go to combo is the Apple saddle brown leather case and Invisible Shield hdx front and regular back on.

I purchased it directly from Evolutive Labs. Does anyone know if I can ship back to a US address for the return/refund?

Returned my Caze ThinEdge was well. With the camera bulge peeking over the bumper lip - it defeats the purpose IMO as it will not protect the camera during a fall or lay on the table scenario.

What is this "awesome" minimal black case that you picked up for your 7. Please let us know. Thanks.

So sorry it wasn't to your liking :(It does add some thickness and width. No idea on whether there is a US address for returns, though...Kind of doubt it, as they are based in Taiwan...

Well, I tried it and got it out of my system. I sent email to Evolutive to start the return process. We shall see...

it's like a space grey. I guess they followed last year's colours.

right off the bat, I love how non-bulky it is. it makes the phone feel and look great. however, it doesn't seem to add much grip. it's more like, it's just not as slippery as the phone, bare.

I'm also in the thread here about the Verizon 7 Plus signal strength expressing my issues. if you've been following that thread, you know I get about 1 dot at home (with my Caseology Waterfall case). this is what I get with this bumper (plus skin) on...

there's a lip at the corner where the camera is. I can't tell, but it seems like it might not be enough to clear the lens cover. I just checked again, and it seems to be sitting in the lens cover. I guess that's what minimal gets you.

it's as thick as the phone, itself. it only adds the bit of thickness to its height and width.

Can you post some photos of the front of the phone with the case please?
Thanks

I'm loving my black RhinoShield CrashGuard on my matte black iPhone 7. Minimal bulk for maximized protection. Combined with an E2E screen protector, I'm set.

Me too. I just feel so confident when I place my phone down and when I use it. For the past few years I have always used my iPhone (6+, 6S) without a case, but in a sleeve. I would always have to first remove from the sleeve before using it. I would use the sleeve as a mat to lay my phone on. I had to always be so careful to not drop it or set it down carefully on the sleeve.

Are you using any screen protection and/or back protector with the CrashGuard bumper?

I have the Belkin Ultra on the front, installed at the Apple Store with the Belkin machine. I did order from evolutive, the RhinoShield back protector. I should get it on Tuesday. Not really sure if I will use it though.

Can you let me know if the back protector is matte? Also how the cut outs are.

Do you have a link to this Belkin screen protector at Best Buy? Do all stores provide installation? I can't seem to find it on their site.

Will do. I was told its the same material as the screen protector so I believe its going to be glossy. But I wanted to see and try it since its obviously compatible with the CrashGuard.

The one sold at the Apple Store can't be bought anywhere else. And I think only Apple has the machines.

I am also going to be returning the Caze, not nearly enough of a lip front or back, and the camera is definitely NOT protected. I've emailed caze about returning it but have yet to hear back from them.
I'm going to give the crashguard another try, when I first got it I wasn't impressed but it's growing on me.

has your email even gone through? I've sent multiple emails to no success. I've sent emails to info@iphonecaze.com, returns@iphonecaze.com and sales@iphonecaze.com only to get the following message back from Mailer Daemon:

"This mailbox does not have enough space to receive your message."

That's not a good sign. I didn't get any error return messages so I'm assuming it went through, but it's been since friday and I haven't heard back from them.
