Kristin mentioned in her review above that there is barely any clearance with the iPhone 7+. I'm wondering if that won't be an issue with the iPhone 7 because Apple didn't add much bump to the new camera. I have the Apple leather case and there is just enough clearance.
The crash guard might only provide minimal clearance on the 7+ but it's enough. The camera bump doesn't touch the surface.

Agreed, just enough, that's all we can ask for :)

My tracking finally updated and expected delivery is Saturday.

I was considering this bumper. Dang that stinks, especially if it's touching the surface.

Yes, there isn't nearly as much clearance as with the 6s Plus CrashGuard...but there definitely is clearance. I checked it very carefully. As long as the CrashGuard bumper is lying on a flat surface, you should have no issues with the camera lens touching anything...

just got my caze thin edge case in the mail. looks great but it looks like the bumper on the back is barely giving the camera any clearance. I think on its back the camera is actually touching the surface. So..onto my next case, I'm looking at the caudabe cases.

That sucks, I ordered one but sounds like I'll be sending it back.

Thanks again for your gracious feedback! That's what we call lay on the table design!

I am in search of a glossy black bumper. They had some pretty nice thin matte black bumper over at the ghost armour kiosk today but it didn't match my jet black iPhone 7 plus. I have a back protection installed so all I need is just the rim. Anyone have any recommendation?

I have a jet black bumper for my SE/5s from Elago. there doesn't seem to be one for the 7 Plus, at least, not at this time. I'd keep scouring the Amazons though.

Can you post some pictures of the Caze ThinEdge with the phone in?....like how the port opening look, how much the top and bottom lip raises?

Thanks!

LOL... good luck with the signal. This thing will affect your signal a lot... which means battery will get consumed faster.
Again, stop messing with metal/aluminium bumpers.

Can we get some pictures of the Caze ThinEdge from those of you who received it.

Mine is set to arrive on Monday but I'm a bit concerned over the height of the back lip.

Is it black or space gray? All the sites said space gray, guess they made it before the release(might be why it's out of stock now, hopefully making a black version).
it's like a space grey. I guess they followed last year's colours.

right off the bat, I love how non-bulky it is. it makes the phone feel and look great. however, it doesn't seem to add much grip. it's more like, it's just not as slippery as the phone, bare.

I'm also in the thread here about the Verizon 7 Plus signal strength expressing my issues. if you've been following that thread, you know I get about 1 dot at home (with my Caseology Waterfall case). this is what I get with this bumper (plus skin) on...

I'll take more pics later showing both phone/bumper and screen. I have to go. but here are some quick pics of the bumper and phone...

there's a lip at the corner where the camera is. I can't tell, but it seems like it might not be enough to clear the lens cover. I just checked again, and it seems to be sitting in the lens cover. I guess that's what minimal gets you.

it's as thick as the phone, itself. it only adds the bit of thickness to its height and width.

Thanks for all the info! Can you tell me:
- is it easy to take off and put on?
- does it provide enough protection for the rear camera lens when laying on a flat surface?
- I can't really tell by your photos, would you say it impacts reception be it LTE and Wifi?

Thanks again.

1)
not a problem even with my rear skin. it looks like you're supposed to install it from its rear. since I have that rear skin, I did it through its front which was a bit tighter, manageable. I just didn't want the edges of my skin to peel when installing the bumper.

i can't comment about WiFi just yet, but I'm sure it's going to have some affect on radio signals. however, I'm just not seeing any ill-effects thus far.

Thanks for all the info. Does the lip on the one corner make it wobble at all?

it actually does, if you push down on the other top corner. the lip being too short and the distance away the lens cover is from the lip allows the length of the Plus (to what seems) to sit on the glass/Sapphire.
That's a bummer. I really like the look of that but I need a bumper that protects the camera lens when I lay it on a flat surface. I don't want to have to be super careful.

I just got the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Style and man I'm torn between it and the Crashguard. It's like what the Spigen Ultra Hybrid should have been. It has a good amount of protection front and back, plus better grip on the sides.

I've gotten used to the Crashguard and I like it. It's wider than the Supcase obviously but it's a heck of a lot lighter. So it's like I can have a wider lighter phone or a narrower "heavier" phone. The Supcase wins the grip war.

Aargh.

EDIT: Actually they feel about the same in hand. The Crashguard 2.0 tapers towards the back, so they feel about the same. Interesting...
