Can't wait for the Edition one. My first iPhone....
Actually the edition is going to have a ceramic back and tack on an extra $1k on top of the already $1k iPhone 8

Thumbs up for the correct usage of "you're."![]()
Apple with every hardware iteration improves the battery life. And your battery will already be over a year old by then with lots of charge/discharge cycles so I really doubt your old phones battery will be better than the new one.
The new hardware is always faster and runs the new iOS better than the old and as far as bugs those are not guaranteed to be there but if there is any they will correct them like they always do.
Someone always says this..why not wait for the S? Then...why not wait for the next model? Problem is there's always something new next year. If you follow this logic then you'll always be waiting...
You know I meant the 7s and not the 7 right?

So, it was an utter disappointment that Apple did NOT redesign the 7... That will be four models of fugly looking iPhone I cannot stand.
1) the 6 series design is not ugly. It is completely different than 5, so angry-about-change 5-lovers can't handle it.
2) people loved the 6 design but hated the antenna. So Apple fixed the antenna location. Now people still aren't pleased. Lol.
It is to me and I own a 6s+1) the 6 series design is not ugly. It is completely different than 5, so angry-about-change 5-lovers can't handle it.
A lot of people love it. I am not one of them.2) people loved the 6 design but hated the antenna. So Apple fixed the antenna location. Now people still aren't pleased. Lol.
What correcting other people’s grammar really says about you,

Slate has a recent article on how to stop being a grammar bully. Interesting in many ways but one of the things it overlooks – it can’t cover every angle, I guess – it when and how you can correct another’s grammar. Or should you just let it go?
From Slate: “Those who engage in public corrections of this sort often are looking to feel good about themselves, and, according to Benoît Monin, a psychology professor at Stanford University. “Another is to give myself evidence that other people’s language skills suck. So by putting down other people, I can feel better about myself.”
Yes, that seems to be the general consensus around here. I am the odd man out.
However, the major use of my phone is for…phone calls. I have televisions and computers at home for video/movies/tv. I have computers at home for games and heavy web browsing. So, my devices see limited texting, email and limited web browsing use.
I work on a computer all day. So my phone sits. I don't need to use it then for email or web browsing as I am staring at three monitors directly in front of me for over 8 hours a day.
The majority of my camera roll is full of pics I take to post to sites like this one, screen caps, or pictures to send the wife so she can see what's on the shelves at Walmart.
So, as long as a phone can make calls, text, email and do light web browsing I don't need powerful processors, high-MP cameras or ram out the wazoo. Therefore, I buy my phones based on how they look.
Just my personal preference.

Oh, and eyoungren you don't have to reply and like every comment on here, your opinion is but one, don't need everything in your mind on one topic.

Not really, since this is a complete overhaul of the IPhone, not just a new design.
That has been suggested before by those who assume I value things in the same way they do by placing needs over wants and performance/features over aesthetics.A flip phone would be perfect for you.
That has been suggested before by those who assume I value things in the same way they do by placing needs over wants and performance/features over aesthetics.
But I don't.
I value looks over performance/features and I value wants over needs. Since the iPhone can also meet my needs, which any basic flip phone could meet, it all works out.
Hence I get an iPhone because I like the way it looks (or at least I did). Since I only upgrade every 2 to 3.5 years I want to like the phone I am using for that long.
The 6s+ I have currently was acquired because of circumstance, not because I like the design.

I don't think iPhone 4S is 7 TIMES Faster than iPhone 4 in GPU. But in reality the GPU of iPhone 4S is only 2 times powerful in GPU (Multi Core) in geekbench score. 400 (on 4S) vs 210 (on 4).I had an iPhone 5. I personally think the 6 design is better looking, especially in silver.
Everybody seems to be so concern for a new redesign, but as we seen b4 redesign iPhones come with problems until the S version comes out. In 2018 we will most likely get a iPhone 8 plus. This year will be most likely a waste of money unless you get the iPhone 7s due to it being the most refine model of its series. I'll be getting an iPhone 7s plus, or I'll be waiting another year and get the inevitable iPhone 8 plus that will be more thought out and bigger than the 2017 one.
Well make fun all you want, while you all get the new version I'll stick with the iPhone 7s plus, which I'll promise will have better battery and no surprise bugs like your refresh will.
my upgrade isn't till 2019. my 7 is still going strong so ill wait till then. The key would be for me not to upgrade to iOS 12 or 13 till I know its safe and won't slow down my device or just not upgrade iOS at all past ios11 and maybe get a battery replacement if necessary.I'm not getting another one until 2020 or 2021.
I am waiting for 2018 iPhone since my 6S still performs well (and will be better once 11.1 drops).
Those with IUP actually should just upgrade yearly to take full advantage of the program.
Those with iPhone 6 and older are also prime candidates to upgrade this year to either the 8 or X.

I have 3 6 iPhones what make me wander is: my opinion is that next year will be total hardware change the iPhone 8 will stop to exists and the x is only a prototype they will have to do something about that black area not because some people dont like it but because it doesn't look professional

There is no iPhone 7S only 7 or 7+ but the 8 or 8 + are the same as the 7 with only one plus Processor A11 that has 6 cores and faster the same as the X the wireless charge is not an issue but $200 deferent is,
A friend asked me the other day why I haven't changed to the latest. I replied "I can't be bothered, and anyway no one cares these days what smartphone it is so long as it works". He loved my response..
I really don't understand people who want to throw money away in "buying" an untested potentially unreliable iPhone to the masses.. Yes I know some people will say it passes all Apple's test but in the "real world" where people break things almost straight away is it worth the risk? ...
