Anyone gettin fm Pikmin? Where's the best place to pick it up? Wish I could get the uk deal for the wonderful 101.

I'll be downloading it eventually, once I beat a few of the games I'm working on. I double dip Best Buy Reward Zone points and the Digital Deluxe promotion by purchasing eShop cards at Best Buy.

That would have been cool... But I got the basic version for $50. Plus I think I'll stick with physical media so I can resale later/keep collection.

no real good deals right now for Pikmin as far as I could find, but I picked it up anyways, really trying to support the wii u. If we want more games, we need to purchase games :)

anyways, i love this game. I had never played a pikmin game before but this is just fun. I heard its only around 10 hrs. long though so I'm trying to take my time through it. game looks great too.

My first Pikmin game too and it is such a delightful game. If you don't have a Wii U there are several stores giving out $25 or $50 gift cards if you buy the Wii U Deluxe and Pikmin 3.

I'm 4 hours into it and after the main story is done I see myself going back to mastering each day and getting many many more hours out of it.

Exploration day 7 now. :D

I have yet to bring my girlfriend back to the Wii U (lost its appeal after beating NSMBU), but local MP should be helluva fun, too! (Honestly, though: she's kinda rolling her eyes when she sees me throwing cute little somethings into the air. And she's right, lol!)

I only had time to play a few "days" last night, but how do you master the levels? When they recap what you did in the level, I dont think I could tell how well i did (100% complete, etc.). Just a bar graph

Still figuring that part out - you'll be able to play any of your days again and I'd imagine I'll do better on the early days after playing through the story mode. If I forget to find the memos I'll go back to past days to do that etc.

My first Pikmin game so I'm still learning the ropes :)

Pikmin 3 is waiting for me at home, it just got delivered by UPS. Gonna go home wipe off the huge layer of dust the WiiU has been collecting and play some Pikmin 3!

Well, I'll hit the gym first, but I have a feeling I'll be going to work rather tired tomorrow morning :)

Bring out a god-damn 3d sand box beautiful, expansive Pokemon game like the unofficial Pokemon Generations game and boom. Wii U sales will spike.

Pokemon Rumble U is coming out later this month - seems like a Pokemon Stadium sequel - digital only - looks pretty nice

Needs to be a console version of the handheld game. It would be huge.

Don't see the classic RPG Pokemon series coming to home consoles - it is a handheld series and it fits perfectly on those platforms. Home consoles has always been that experimentation realm for Pokemon games.

Playing Earthbound I can see the appeal of a home console version of Pokemon X or Y.

I still prefer Pikmin 1 & 2 on my GC :( though Pikmin 3 is a good game - its lacking something I find....

Can't imagine playing this without the Wii Remote/Nunchuck - it is very much the way to play this kind of game.

Will have to play 1/2 after finishing 3, but from all of the reviews I think you are in the minority - most are very satisfied with the game released - 100 percent complete at 100 days is a 25 hour experience even though most can finish it up much quicker than that.

I'm 14 days into it and enjoying every minute of it :)

The problem is it doesn't have the magic for me that it did originally. For those that never played Pikmin at the time then yes it's a great game, but for many of us who were well into our gaming prime when Pikmin originally came out - all this new version feels like a HD Remake - but somehow it just doesn't have that spark or magic that the original did 12 years ago....

Fair enough - I think controlling 3 armies at once - the GamePad features - the rock and flying Pikmin are all very cool. Not sure how much of a radical rethinking needs to be done on something that was fairly great the first 2 times around.

Pikmin 3 is very fun. First pikmin game and I'm loving it.

I'm on day 28 now. I have to say, take your time and enjoy this game. I am not trying to rush through it at all. just loving it. My only two criticisms are that I wish the days were actually longer and the targeting system is not the best. This is one of the first games I with they were releasing dlc for. would love some new maps

Finished it a few days ago at Day 60 (around 20 hours) - got all fruit, but not all secret memos. Take your time and explore these worlds - the goal is to bring home ever last bit of fruit so you can use the seeds to keep your planet alive :)

Playing Pikmin 2 now on Wii U and the targeting is greatly improved in Pikmin 3 as well as managing who you are throwing. I would say use your Wii Remote for Pikmin 3 and use the GamePad as more of a SmartGlass like thing - works great like that.

More Pikmin 3 thoughts later ...

I prefer using the WiiU Pro controller and the GamePad as a view device over the Wii Remote, just my opinion though :p

Oh wow - one of the few I guess - most reviewers and others have noted how much better the Wii Remote controls are over the analog sticks like on GameCube.

Whatever works for you I guess - I couldn't get fast enough controls with just GamePad or Pro Controller - boss fights were brutal that way

After you beat the game, does it end or do you get to play through the planets and find the rest of the fruit, etc.?

You can go back in time and start again from any day you completed - what I would do is after you beat it go back to your last day and land on the other areas to gather fruit etc.

I sadly haven't found a way to keep my original Pikmin save file and start another brand new day - it seems starting from day 1 again and erasing the data is the only way to do that.

The mission modes provide lots of replayability for me - I want to earn golds on all of them and that is a hard thing to do - I think I'll end up with 40 plus hours of total play time - maybe 60 if I go back from day one again.

Was pokin' around with my new pogo stick yesterday...DuckTales remastered.

Neatly done, probably worth to wait a bit until they discount it, but I like it so far. Perfect voice acting and fine animations. Lot's of cut scenes though. A bit distracting but the voice acting make up for that (that is when you've watched the show in your childhood - which I did in an almost religious approach.).

I bought it for the PS3 when it was on sale for $9.99, they did a decent job of cleaning it up. I refuse to buy anything from the WiiU store, Nintendo seems to always screw up anything online, while the WiiU is better its still horrible.
