For £699 I expect one of the best smartphones money can buy, and I most certainly expect it to be better than a two years older phone from the same brand. I don't care if I'm in the 'vast minority' as you claim, I just have standards and Apple failed bigtime. You either don't use your phone for much at all; calls, SMS, a bit of social media and the camera perhaps, or you accept mediocrity.
Yep, it is called using a phone the way you are suppose to use a phone. The iPhone 6 is not mediocre, it is the best phone on the market currently. It is just not a mainframe.

If you think actual multitasking on a device means that it is a mainframe do you think all modern day laptops are mainframe computers? The iPhone 6 is a good device, but I am highly skeptical it is the best on the market.

Again, please stop telling others they aren't using their phone properly just because they don't use it how you do. It is a completely asinine statement, and you are becoming a nuisance. Just accept the fact that others are different from you. You don't have to like it, but living in a delusional fantasy world is counterproductive.

As a side note, the British military is probably one of the most distinguished in the history of the world. While it might not have one army that is considered the greatest of all time, it was really really good. Also, it always showed some pluck when push came to shove.

Name the other best phone on the market then.

Otherwise stop being rude to people who are fans of Apple on an Apple site.

The iPhone 6 Plus is by far the best phone on the market.

No matter how many hundreds of times you guys post negativity, its not gonna change that fact.

Apple has become very good at minimizing their costs while making only the slightest improvements. Customers no longer care, they just keep buying. It's magical and Apple's fat and happy. An amazing testimony to the power of the advertising dialog in convincing customers to buy.

"By far the best phone on the market"? Well that's highly subjective and yet you state it as a fact. I'm sure there are many Note 4, S6, One M9 etc owners out there who would vehemently disagree with you. Several iPhone 5, 5S and i6 owners too. Heck I even own a 6+ and don't think it's the best phone on the market, not by a long shot.

It seems to me that the only person being annoyed here is you. If you don't like my comments then please don't read them. I never called him a nuisance. If you comprehended my post you would see that I stated he was becoming one because almost every post of his is the exact same "use your phone how it's supposed to be used, not like this..." drivel. Being a narrow-minded person in the tech community will get you stuck in the past and angry at the future.

I am an Apple fan on an Apple site as well. It is quite hypocritical of you to insult me for voicing my opinions and skepticisms. Does thinking for myself and not being brainwashed make me a "hater" and not fit to be a part of this community? If you think so then I suggest you see yourself out, because your post bashing and overall negative demeanor will surely not be missed.

I would honestly say the 6 is better than the 6+, and I completely agree with Sunking's sentiment that it depends on the person. You arguing that it is the "best" phone on the market, but fail to realize that there are other phones much better for certain people than the iPhone. My personal favorite for overall best phone is the Moto G/E as they provide a very affordable experience that isn't compromised with loads of unnecessary software. Those phones are not ones I choose to own, but they are better overall than most on the market. If you want to know my favorite flagship, it changes over time. Currently I still very much enjoy my 2014 Moto X as I found it to be a better value than the iPhone 6 I had, but I feel the iPhone 6S+ will take the crown this fall, and get my business.

If some of you want 2GB of RAM in an iPhone, don't buy iPhones with anything less. Enough people do that and Apple will step up.

I won't buy an iPhone without 2GB or RAM or more. Sure, I'd like to return to the iPhone but I won't settle for a product gimped to pad margins.

My S6 is serving me perfectly well, as I am sure the S7 will. Apple wants my money, they will need to earn it.

There will never be enough people to do something like that when the vast majority of typical customers don't even know what RAM is or use their phone for more than a few calls and texts and maybe an occasional email.

It is called sarcasm and it obviously went over your head. I have read dozens of reviews before I bought my iPhone and the reason I changed from Android to Apple is because so many websites called it the best on the market.

I am saying that they are not using their phone properly because user reviews on Amazon show that almost 90% of the iPhone 6 users give it a four or five star rating. Those are the people who are using their phone properly. Only 7% give it a one star and some of them are not using it properly. Every phone has built in limitations and if you use the phone beyond it's limitations then it won't work properly. That is why I laugh at the multitaskers complaining. There is nothing wrong with the phone, the problem is the way they are using it.

I don't care what the ignorant do, nor should anyone else.

These "slight improvements" you talk about...if apple's new iPhone blows competitors' products performance out of the water every year, and is still considered "slight improvement", then by the same logic, other companies must be doing close to nothing.

So was I using my old iPhone 5 'wrong' too? It's funny how it multitasked wayyyy better than the two generations newer 6+. The fact remains, whether you dispute it or not, that I have had to seriously dumb-down how I use my iPhone since 'upgrading' from the i5 to the 6+.

You must be joking, right ? Oh, yes, you must be. Noobie post once again

So why don't you go back to using your iPhone 5 and quit complaining?

Amazing. You are saying that almost 90% of the iPhone users are ignorant and you are one of the gifted ones.
Most people are not very technologically savvy. Anyone who is knows the iPhone 6/6+ has severe ram issues.

And it's not even about power. The iPhone very well might be the most powerful phone out there (though I doubt it). It just doesn't have enough memory to use that power effectively.

Is there seriously somebody arguing that he hopes the iPhone doesn't get more RAM on the basis that he single tasks and everyone else should as well?
Or even just because they don't care and want to see other people complain even more.

There are people who argue the same way for keeping 16GB as the base storage rather than bumping up to 32GB. Some people just can't accept that sometimes Apple makes decisions that are not good for their customers.

Well, that's a bit different since larger storage options are still available and the consumer can decide. In case of something like RAM there are no options, just what's there for everyone.
