I think I've been in college and around generally accepting people for too long. The number of judgmental responses in this thread legitimately surprised me and made me more than a little sad. Regardless of your color preferences, what's with all the judgement and thinly veiled hatred, people?

I'm getting the silver because I think it will look best with a couple cases I plan on getting, but the rose gold definitely tempted me. It's a great color and I think would look particularly nice with no case + a black/gray suit.

Can we all stop calling it pink? It's so undermining to those who just like the color. It's called rose gold for a reason. Do I call someone gay because they look it, even if they are not? No, cause that's not what they are or want to be called.

On topic: I ordered it and after all the reviews I'm really happy with it! It's more coppery than I thought which is a plus :)
It's pink guy, I know you wanna make yourself feel better but its pink. Sorry mate

They literally made the lighting as favorable as possible for it to look pink and put it by pink items so in comparison to your eye, it's even pinker. Why wouldn't they do this for clicks??
Come one man...they could have done better things for clicks. I guess you'll find out when the iPhone is deliver to you.

You can call it whatever you want... pink, rose, rose gold... I don't care. I bought it and I'll have no issue as a 41 yr old guy with a wife and kids sporting the phone in public. But then again, I've never let myself be defined by what others think of me. That my friends is true freedom!

My last phone was a SCREAMING hot pink Moto X. I didn't give a **** about what anyone thought because, simply put, it was a badass shock of color. I bought it FOR ME because *I* liked it.

The same thing applies for why I bought the rose gold iPhone 6s Plus. The color is for my own enjoyment. It has nothing to do with anyone else.

It really is unfair of you to make that kind of assumption about anyone and project your biases onto them.

I think you're taking what I'm saying as biased when it's nothing of he sort. I've already said, if guys want to use the rose gold iPhone then that absolutely their choice and I wouldn't bat an eye lid.

Where my problem with this lies is not in he colour, but in the fact at a lot of people (not everyone) are calling guys out for expressing their opinion that it is too pink for them and making them out to be some old fashioned prejudice types because they disagree wi those who want to buy it.

I think you're taking the whole thing a bit too personally. Everyone has an opinion. Mine is that the phone is pink. And I don't want a pink phone. I think it's ok for me to have that opinion.

The other items are for comparison.
It doesn't matter....if you are happy with it.....then that is all that matters right?

I personally don't give a rats ass if your iPhone is rainbow colored, but let's all be honest here, your new iPhone is pink. It's f'in PINK. Anyone who makes excuses is either visually impaired or insecure about their decision to purchase a.......PINK iPhone. Your call. Your preference. Your decision. Anyone who cares enough to vocally judge you for it is an idiot, but you sound like an even bigger one denying the fact....that it's pink. Either own the fact that you are a man and enjoy pink products, or just shut up.

This is what I'm expecting the phone to look like, and I think it looks impressive. It's a new color and I like that, not so much to impress others, but because I like having something different. I've owned various iPhones for years now - black ones, white ones, and even the gold one. There's something to be said for each of them, but I'm excited to have something different. Heck, I'll even snap a selfie with it when it arrives and post it here. Freedom is a wonderful thing, and I consider myself fortunate to have it - both by circumstance and by choice.

There you go. Does it upset you when people call it pink? You don't sound like you're in much denial like the rest

It's called Rose Gold because it probably sounds better than Pink, marketing wise.

That said, I would not buy it. Not because the back is pink, but because the face is white. I cannot stand white faces on the iPhone (or iPad for that matter).

So space black is the only option for me.

Someone else mentioned elsewhere that it would be the same color as the iWatch which I didn't really care for when I checked it out so no way.

This will be my first white iphone in the 7 generations I've had. I opted for silver instead of gold or pink. I hope I don't get annoyed by the white bezel.

The bias is in the assumption that people would buy it just to show off that it's the newest one and, as a result, would be less worthy of your respect or worthy of less of your respect.

How could you possibly know and determine whether or not someone was "worthy" without them either telling you directly their reasoning for picking the phone or your drawing some sort of assumption?

I can out a black phone next to those items and to wouldn't look any more pink.

I see your point, but there was even a user in here who got her phone early that took some shots. She didn't Doctor them or anything. Phone looks pink to me.

If you like it, great. It certainly doesn't look like what actual rose gold products tend to look like though.

I don't care what color it is or who buys it. I do agree that a lot of folks buying it probably wouldn't choose the color normally, but want to make sure people know they have the newest phone...

Lord help me if we ever get s green phone. I don't care why people think I got that one. I will have it.

Ok so you don't think some people would do that? Come on.
It's macrumors. People who love Apple. Filled with people who want he latest and greatest. Of course some people want the new colour coz it's obvious it's the latest model.

Like I've repeatedly said there's nothing wrong with that. But you're just taking it all way to personally and quite honestly need to just crack on and enjoy your new pink phone like you did with your hot pink Motorola.

Let's be real. The phone is unarguably a hue of pink, but it's nothing like "Barbie pink". There are those in the thread that only have an absolute view of the color pink, unable to detach a color from its cultural associations. When someone calls the phone "pink", some people have visions of Barbie. Other may have visions of Miami Vice pink. Some think that ANYTHING in pink is thereby feminine. Others think that the shade of pink or the type of object has a relative bearing on its perception.

To me, it's a shade of pink that is gender neutral. If it is was Barbie pink, I personally wouldn't have gotten it, but I certainly wouldn't judge those guys who would. Some people just have a difficult time shedding their childhood judgmentalism. It's a sign of immaturity when people insist on making themselves feel good at others' expense.

So here's what I think is a good representation of what the rose gold iPhone looks like:

And here's Barbie pink:

Ironic. Because you too are also expressing hate on those who hate the pinkish hue of rose gold. Who's the insecure one now? ;)

That doesn't even make sense. If you choose to ignore someone who tries to belittle you based on the color of your phone, that does not express hatred at all. It is simply not bringing yourself down to their level.
