i trust my gf enough that if i give her my phone and she gives me her phone if something happens me or her will pay for it if we f' it up. we trust each other like that. i trust her and she's paid for stuff she's messed up thats mine and she said f' ill pay for it lets go.

I think even with the apple care+ you can't proceed for a replacement because they already mentioned that it'll scratch.

I just hope the awesome Apple CS when it comes to return exchanges or returns doesn't get affected from people like the OP. Man grow up. It's not Apple's fault that your phone was scratched. I hope they reject your request. Karma will come back around just remember that.

No one seems to look at the second part I wrote below?? How about address that...just reposted that part below

"However I just saw even more scratches today meaning that given my lifestyle it will get scratches anyways so I may as well just stop carefully looking at my phone for scratches and just enjoy the beautiful feel of my phone

The thing that's bothering me is that when I run my nails lightly on the scratches the scratches that I strongly suspect he created(given where he used his shirt) can be felt by my finger nails however the other scratches caused by me not using protection cannot be felt."

This is comical. Just wait till it's all scratched up. (Let a lot of men "hold it") then just scratch all the black off to reveal the true color. Polished silver aluminum .BOOM. You can thank me later

After using it for a week I can be sure that I have gotten atleast two more scratches with the same feel as the scratches he caused....with one of the scratches he caused being slightly in its curvature. I have no plans on putting protection on my phone and my phone so far looks good anyways and feels just as amazing as always (putting any sort of protection will only ruin the feel of the phone) so if thats the case I will not proceed with any returns.

For all you jerks coming at me...just realize that I was not planning on abusing the system. I just needed to be sure that the scratches (sure I admit its my fault for being trusting towards that guy..he's an android fan btw lol) he made were not of a unique nature...as I could feel them with my nails....and at the same time could not feel many of the other scratches that were caused by no protection.

Now that I know with total certainty that my scratches are for the most part similar to the ones he caused I have no need to worry about the scratches he caused as there is nothing more "damaging" or "unusual" about the scratches he caused.

I didn't cause it. Someone else used their dirty shirt to clean the phone without my permission. I have been extremely careful with my phone.

I don't care too much if they don't refund it as I love the jet black however I believe I can be careful and those scratches would not have come if it weren't for that guy.

They wouldn't care if it was you or someone else.

Your only recourse would be to sue the guy who rubbed your phone. But I expect you'd just get laughed at. Not likely to win that one either.

SO apple should replace YOUR phone because you didn't secure it and someone did something to it...... Yeah... Ford should replace your car because someone wrecked it.... Gap should replace your clothes because you washed them incorrectly and they shrunk... Come on now how silly does that sound?

Be careful. Someone will tell you you're using a faulty car analogy. :D
Except you do.... you're here complaining it's scratched easily....

Hey guys, a friend wrecked my brand new car because he wanted to see how fast it would go. Do you think there's anyway that the dealership would replace it for me? I mean it totally wasn't my fault.
