In the appygeek app it shows the same number of content from left to right, from top to bottom as well except they did not load any shortcuts there. But there is a placeholder that shows, and you can see the same amount of content can fit there as on the plus sized iPhone. However this app is not updated and have black bars on both top and bottom. If this app were to be updated, it will show more information.
In the weather app the iPhone X shows a pinch more info to the right side of the screen, despite it being narrower than the plus. At the bottom of the screen it shows 2 full more days of weather.
So you too are going to just look at the iPhone X next to a plus sized iPhone and call it the regular sized iPhone?

Notch related issues? What is that? - I have both the IPhone 10 and IPhone 7+. I was a little dissapointed with the screen real estate of the 10 versus the 7+ - yes, it is smaller. However, the screen is beautiful on the 10. The notch is not an issue - actually looks kind of cool, really. The 10 feels heavy for its size. I like the 10 and I plan to keep it, but the 8 + is also a great phone, and its still a larger screen. The “square” screen on the 8 looks strangely dated compared to the 10 - but that’s psychology at work.
Haven’t used the camera much - but I am confident the 10 and 8 + are equally great cameras.
The photo I’d is working flawless for me so far. The gestures that replaced the home button are great and feel natural. I had no trouble getting accustomed to the new interface. Apple should remove the home button on all future models. Obviously, the best combination will occur when the features of the 10 are included in the plus form factor! I don’t think you could go wrong with the 10 or the 8+ - both are great phones.
Finally, regarding price. Paying north of a $1k is a lot for most folks to lay out for a phone. If money is tight, look at the 8 or even the 7 series phones. IMO the 10 doesn’t offer enough “new tech” to really justify the price. It’s a luxury buying decision period.

Wow. You sure are desperate to validate your choice. Don’t you have anything better to do? In nearly every screen shot you posted the X displayed more content than the Plus. Size doesn’t matter - content does. Again, relative to its size the X has the biggest screen on any iPhone. I never said the screen on the X was as big as the Plus screen. This is two different things. I get a much bigger screen in a much smaller package. You get a huge screen in a huge package with huge bezels. Enjoy it if you like it better.

Nice edit: In every screen shot you will see the PLUS had the same amount of data, without making it much smaller in size. If you shrunk it down in the plus, it would fit a ton more info too.

You see more content but it's smaller which means it's not as enjoyable. In landscape videos it's not even a contest. The Plus wrecks it. I would rehear have bigger content and almost the same amount of content than smaller content and more content.

In the 9 day that I’ve been using the X other than reading posts I honestly never thought a lot nor felt a downgrade in screen.
i prefer the X look at those ugly bezels.for sure more content will truly support the X in the coming months though
I‘ve owned only Plus-Models since the Release of the iPhone 6 Plus and i am quite happy with my X.
Yes, the smaller Display is noticeable, espacially in landsacape mode but i never thought about switching back to the 8 Plus. I think this is very individual for every user and everyone has to make its own experience and choose after his own preferences. Both, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X, are great phones!

I might prefer the plus if watching videos too. I don’t think I watch enough videos on my phone to care about the X being slightly smaller though. But photos and everything else I’d prefer the X. The crispness of photos displayed on the X is stunning. Everything just looks stunning lol
because its just a screen man.go check it out at bestbuy or at apple store and see for yourself.i have a 7plus and compared it side by side and the truw the X is narrow but has bigger font in short the X is really good when viewing it in horizontal,when viewing vertical videos it will be zoom like the pictures above but is not bad at all
