-10 year anniversary iPod
-major iOS 5 release
-iCloud release
-very high probability new iPhone release
-and last but not least Steve Jobs's health situation, attendance or not.

We all love those gadgets but whats more important the human being behind this all. Jobs's health is NOW more fragile then ever. As we haven't seen or heard anything in a while. The redline at this coming event will most likely be all about Steve Jobs and his personal situation. No gadget or software upgrade can be more important then a human being. I was yesterday watching the launch of the first PC, the macintosh, on youtube and man this guy was back then that charismatic. He is more then anyone, the keyplayer in this whole electronic revolution which changed everything. In a 100 years he wil be known as the man who jumpstarted it all.

Therefor this coming event will be the most important one especially also after the release of the record breaking salesfigures, this event will decide if Apple can continuate this great line it's on.

More then ever this event will mean everything for Apple I think.

The post Jobs effect won't be seen for about 3 years

I would imagine that Apple have already design blueprints for iPhone 5,6,7 and iPad 3,4,5 , They don't design these things in the weeks up to launch Steve's DNA will be on the Apple products for another 2 or 3 years

I have a question, how long do you think such a keynote is going to last:s?!

Rumor has it there will be a new iPod line, an iPhone 5 (big updates so lots of talk!) and another cheaper iPhone, more iOS 5 stuff, iCloud stuff... Seriously this must be equal to about 2 keynotes (if not more) amount of content!

Gotta be way over an hour, surely?

Very well said.

This will be the first product released after Jobs' resignation. (Even though Jobs has probably voiced his opinions for the next few generations of products)

If the rumors are true, then i truly believe that the iPhone 5 is the biggest upgrade since the original.
Too bad Apple already used that slogan for the iPhone 4...

Well said Muro, you beat me to the anniversary reminder, but will the event be on October 23? Will there be a party? Could we get an anniversary edition of the original? Will there be "one more thing"? Hopefully Steve is not as sick as everyone imagines.

After 1 1/2 year waiting for the next iPhone, I really hope they've made some big changes. If not, I'm going to be really disappointed of Apple.
