The brackets don't appear to be anywhere near the blotch/pressure point though.
No, not the brackets. Look at the black spots around the borders on the 6S+ picture. Those are melt-pressed spots to sandwich two layers together.

I still don't see it in the pics? Is it only in he bottom left corner. Someone needs to circle this. Lol.
In exactly the same place as mine. It's not as pronounced as some others here, but it's definitely there. Along with the stage lights at the top of your screen.
My suggestion? If you don't see it, don't go looking for it. For most, it's so subtle you won't ever see it. I would never noticed if I didn't read this darn thread lol.
However, it doesn't bother me. On my, it's near impossible to see and everything else is fine.![]()
I don't see anything unless I tilt my phone almost horizontal and look up under the bezel essentially, at the top, the 'stage lighting' as you call it (nice way to describe it). Other than that, I have to disagree, there is no pressure point issue on my phone. I've seen that with other LCDs in the past, I am familiar with the phenomena everyone is referring to, and it's just not there. I guarantee if you saw my screen in person you'd agree.
Honestly though, it's worth getting the problem addressed, I can't remember the last Apple product that had so many affected units. Including my own phone, store displays. I agree most people wouldn't notice but it's still an issue.
I was replying to someone else, I don't have any spots.
Lower left hand side - near the shift button when the on screen keyboard is present in portrait mode.

This is a very entertaining thread--fifteen pages now and nobody is able to post a picture of a screen with the defect called out. I simply don't see anything unusual about any of the posted pictures. Several people have asked to have the areas marked, but so far nobody has been able to oblige. Hmmm...
Thank you meidea! I see what you see in the magnified images, but I would never see or notice those in ordinary use.

I took a photo of my screen but the issue couldn't be seen in resultant photo.
So I took a video and if you look at the lower left hand side the blotch is clearly visible whilst I'm scrolling.

Actually, you do. Yours is about the same as mine. Very faint, feels more like a smudge than anything else. But it's there.
I've circled the affected area from your photo, and added an inverted closeup. The splotch of discoloration is very slightly more prominent at that point.
OP and others have shown photos of a blemish/smudge/whatever that is considerably more noticeable.

I don't understand the distraction. If you are scrolling a site don't people look at the center of the screen during the scroll? Maybe my peripheral vision is terrible, but I just don't notice the lower right or left part of the screen while looking at a page.
With 13M phones sold I guess there is a huge range of what people notice while scrolling.
Do you have them on both sides of screen like me, or just left-hand side?
When reading there's always a word where the blotch is...

I think the problem is, when you know it's there - you're going to look there. Most people will forget it and will never see it again even though it is there. Some can't come to terms with it and will get a replacement.
Boils down to personal preference and doing what you think is best.
I would suggest using a suction cup in that area and lightly pull/tug. It helped mine. Pretty much gone.
