I still don't see it in the pics? Is it only in he bottom left corner. Someone needs to circle this. Lol.

My suggestion? If you don't see it, don't go looking for it. For most, it's so subtle you won't ever see it. I would never noticed if I didn't read this darn thread lol.

However, it doesn't bother me. On mine, it's near impossible to see and everything else is fine. :D

In exactly the same place as mine. It's not as pronounced as some others here, but it's definitely there. Along with the stage lights at the top of your screen.

I don't see anything unless I tilt my phone almost horizontal and look up under the bezel essentially, at the top, the 'stage lighting' as you call it (nice way to describe it). Other than that, I have to disagree, there is no pressure point issue on my phone. I've seen that with other LCDs in the past, I am familiar with the phenomena everyone is referring to, and it's just not there. I guarantee if you saw my screen in person you'd agree.

Honestly though, it's worth getting the problem addressed, I can't remember the last Apple product that had so many affected units. Including my own phone, store displays. I agree most people wouldn't notice but it's still an issue.

I see the "stage lighting" on your's clearly. However, I don't see the issue being discussed here. If it is there, I can't see it. :)

If it's not going to be as big as "bendgate" it won't be addressed and odds are, I would get the same thing over again, if not worse and it's not worth it to me. Especially with the yellow screen issues that plague the phones. I am happy with my phone and will enjoy it until I get my iPhone 7. I have Applecare + so I am good.

This is a very entertaining thread--fifteen pages now and nobody is able to post a picture of a screen with the defect called out. I simply don't see anything unusual about any of the posted pictures. Several people have asked to have the areas marked, but so far nobody has been able to oblige. Hmmm...

I was replying to someone else, I don't have any spots.

Lower left hand side - near the shift button when the on screen keyboard is present in portrait mode.

Actually, you do. Yours is about the same as mine. Very faint, feels more like a smudge than anything else. But it's there.

I've circled the affected area from your photo, and added an inverted closeup. The splotch of discoloration is very slightly more prominent at that point.

OP and others have shown photos of a blemish/smudge/whatever that is considerably more noticeable.

No, not the brackets. Look at the black spots around the borders on the 6S+ picture. Those are melt-pressed spots to sandwich two layers together.

OK, yes I see them but how come only that one is always over-nipped?

The pics I've seen on here don't seem to show it very well -- if I have time at home, I'll take a pic of my screen and see how the spots turn out (they're very visible to the eye, but maybe don't show up so easily on camera).

Here are two photos from page 2. I've adjusted brightness/contrast to make the blemish more obvious.

Edit: And a picture from page 3, with a red circle (I've not adjusted the photo at all)

Thank you meidea! I see what you see in the magnified images, but I would never see or notice those in ordinary use.

You're welcome!

That's exactly how it is with my 6S Plus. I thought everyone was nuts, finally saw it on mine, but I don't actually notice it unless I'm thinking to look for it. I would never have thought there was a problem if I hadn't opened this thread. That being said, if it's more pronounced on someone's device (and teetering into a visual distraction), they should absolutely ask for a replacement/repair.

If you don't notice something unless it gets magnified, highlighted with a red circle, on a specific background color at just the right level of brightness, how is it a problem?

I think part of the issue with the pics is that the shadows are significantly more distracting when you're scrolling (say, down the page on a news website), rather than when the page is just sitting there. A video would probably show them best.

It was distracting me while scrolling this forum, and every other page with a white background, which is most. It was visible to me out of the corner of my eye, too.

I took a photo of my screen but the issue couldn't be seen in resultant photo.
So I took a video and if you look at the lower left hand side the blotch is clearly visible whilst I'm scrolling.

Yep, clear as day. I've no idea why people keep denying the problem's existence.

Thank you, I was about to post similar pictures.

Bottom line: Some people don't notice it/some people do. For those that DON'T notice it, do NOT disparage the people who do. This is a defect, 100%. Whether it gets fixed in a new run of iPhone 6s Plus production remains to be seen.

I don't understand the distraction. If you are scrolling a site don't people look at the center of the screen during the scroll? Maybe my peripheral vision is terrible, but I just don't notice the lower right or left part of the screen while looking at a page.

With 13M phones sold I guess there is a huge range of what people notice while scrolling.

When reading there's always a word where the blotch is...

I think the problem is, when you know it's there - you're going to look there. Most people will forget it and will never see it again even though it is there. Some can't come to terms with it and will get a replacement.

Boils down to personal preference and doing what you think is best.

I would suggest using a suction cup in that area and lightly pull/tug. It helped mine. Pretty much gone.

So 3D Touch isn't going to help this issue much...
