I went through 3 replacements, all had the pressure point near the bottom left corner as well as either scratches or other cosmetic defects. All 3 were T-Mobile 6s Plus Rose Golds.

On the 4th one, not T-Mobile and the same 6s Plus Rose Gold, I could not find the pressure point. I dimmed down the brightness pretty low and I still cant see it.

Did I just find the holy grail?....You be the judge.

I tried my best to get the most clear pictures.

got

I don't have it.
There are others that don't have it either and have posted here.
There are also about 13M more people who haven't posted here that they have a problem.
A lack of people posting does not necessarily correlate to them NOT having the problem. It's well known MOST consumers do not come to forums such as this to post bad, or even good, things about their devices.

Not saying I don't believe you, but how about posting a picture then? Thanks.

I just returned my Silver 6S+ last night for a Space Grey. My Silver had it but was very faint but noticeable on certain sites (ie Macrumors). I do not see it on my new device. My eye tends to keep glancing that way when scrolling because I knew it was there on my old one but now I do not see it. Its either so faint that even I can't pick it up therefore could care less or maybe this is one of the good ones.

Why is that corner much darker than the other parts of the screen (holy grail) phone?

Here are some shots of my current phone, which is my second replacement. I thought I had a good screen until I saw the post by 6thDAY. If there are perfect phones out there then I am not keeping this. I will wait a week or so and then see what is available here in the Apple store for an exchange.

That blemish... it's hardly visible on the pic but I'm sure it sticks out like a sore thumb IRL.

You have to step back and rethink the "I have to have a perfect phone" mentality. If you don't do that you will never enjoy the phone. Just because someone has a good screen doesn't mean their device doesn't have some other defect that would bother you just as much. As I say at launch every year, its a mass produced item...there are no perfect phones. I get it, they aren't cheap but sometimes putting in perspective you are looking for something that is none existent. I bought a pricey car recently... I didn't examine it and crawl under it looking for any blemish I could find I signed the papers and drove that MF'er. Just use it and be happy you got one...some people are still waiting paitently mean while you are swapping out what someone might thoroughly enjoy. I had the same mentality when it came to Apple products but eventually realized I wasted so much time in chats/phone calls/driving time that it just seemed absurd. Long story short...do what makes you happy...its your hard earned money you spent so you have every right to be satisfied with your purchase.

Not sure what's wrong, but that screen looks fine to me.

On mine the blemish doesn't appear to be visible on the left edge (or it's very small if it's there). I do have one that looks very similar to the pictures on the right edge though

Every iPhone 6s Plus I've seen has had the blemish. The one I have now is far less noticeable, only myself and those with a keen eye will ever be able to notice it. Why don't you try using the sucker suggestion? Apply a suction cup on the area and gently lift it. People have claimed it works

I only notice the so-called blemish, or clip or whatever it is, when I'm looking for it. I see it best when I move the phone around a little at different angles. It's a tiny little dark square where everyone else's dark spot is. Mine is very faint and best seen at angles I never view the screen from normally anyway.

I'm returning my phone because it has the Samsung A9 and everyone on the other thread says the TSMC one has better battery life. So I'll keep returning my iPhones until I get one with a perfect screen and a TSMC chip.

I'm definitely joking about that. I did get the Samsung A9 but it works fine.

However some people seriously are returning their phones because of the chip lottery despite no conclusive evidence of any defect in their iPhones or that the Samsung a9 is truly inferior.

Between the screen blemish lottery and the chip lottery, I'm beginning to wonder when people actually just use the blasted iPhones and get on with life.

I just expect it to be as good as the 6+ I was using previously, which was "perfect" in a general sense relative to its design.

IRL the defect is quite glaring, and when compared to the benchmark of my previous phone is unacceptable. The first one I returned was so bad the Genius immediately did the refund for me. On the worst phones I have seen it looks like there is a defect in the glass.

I think I have it within me to wait out my return period to see if better phones show up, and if not keep what I have.

I think the phone chip is exaggerated. I have a lot turned off on my TSMC chip iPhone 6s Plus and I'm at 48% with only 4.5 hours screen on time.

Can those who are getting better looking screens please post their week of manufacture?

Yes please look up what week your phone was manufactured. Like Sanlitun, I'm wondering if this has already been silently addressed by Apple in recent manufacturing runs. Also, like Sanlitun, I agree 100% that the 6s Plus screen should be at least equal to that of the 6 Plus. Maybe not better (since it is identical aside from 3D Touch), but certainly not worse.

Finally, the blemish might not look like much in pictures, and some are worse than others, but it is definitely glaring IRL. I also had my first 6s Plus replaced under warranty, and three Apple employees noticed it immediately. Unacceptable for a $750+ phone, especially when it sticks out like sore thumb all over the white backgrounds in iOS.

Replacement in-store successful today. I was surprised. They had only 1 replacement "white box" left.

The blemish is barely noticeable - A LOT better than my original phone. I think it's the same condition as 6thDAYS's 4th replacement. Literally, I put the brightness at 15-20% and there's hardly any blemish to see. It's well hidden. Played around with all other brightness settings - full brightness is obviously beautiful as you can imagine. The holy grail as well, perhaps? My serial number still shows C39, so week 39 in production? If that's wrong, feel free to correct me and I'll post back with my manufacture date.

Also had the time to look at 10-12 display models. All had blemishes, but just like my replacement - super super super faint. None stood out like my original phone. You REALLY need to be OCD to see it, and that's if you mind doesn't play the stupid illusion on a fully white background.

The genius, on the other hand, wasn't too nice to me.

He couldn't see my blemish. I brought over the manager and she saw it in a heartbeat. I asked the guy if he had the 6s Plus, which he did. I noticed his had the blemish too. He denied it. Also, he claimed I was limited to 1 replacement and that's it (which I say is bull, I can always go back and see another genius the next day). Also, what really set me off the most was when I introduced him this 27-page thread on the blemish. He said that it's a small sample size of 100 out of 13 mil (ok, he's right about sample size, but that still doesn't prove that non-tech savvy people and non-forums users still have the blemish, too). And worst of all, he claims us forum users "pull stuff out of our ass". That was pretty rude from an employee-customer situation. I shot his comment down so fast I got some heads turned to see what was going on. Nonetheless, I kept my cool and got the replacement and gave him a smile & handshake on the way out.

Now, to get the replacement glass screen protector. It's on the way via free lifetime warranty, just gotta wait a few days!

Can't post a pic of the new phone now since I don't have a 2nd camera, but if you guys want me to put one up, do let me know and I can provide.

Hope this helps anyone out there anticipating replacements at the genius bar!

My replacement (new not in a white box), because I bought it, not exchanged it, is also week 39, manufactured in October according to chipmunk.nl, so maybe it's fixed on this week? Not sure.

But like you, I played with the brightness, and I still can't see it, so if I can't see it (being the super OCD as I am), I dont believe it's there :p

Lucky you got a new box instead of a white box. Does that mean you got double the peripherals? ;)

I think it's the 4 + 5th characters in the serial number that are the week codes. Can you use http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html/ to decode it?

My phone is week 37, the others I had were 36 and 37.

Used the decoding site and got week 37. Can't say what my original one was, but I am sure it was like 36 or earlier. This one looks crisp!

So I called Apple Care and they're sending me an advanced exchange...hopefully the screen is better because I had issues on both sides. The suction helped for a day, but came back the next.

That's interesting, I had an experience just like yours. The Apple employee I saw was rather rude, he initially told me to reserve one online as they had no replacements in stock. Once I requested to see the manager he went out back and returned with a replacement. This one also had the blemish but like yours it was very difficult to notice and the staff there claimed they could not see it and so wouldn't replace it again. So I kept it, still deciding whether I should return it for a refund
