Really sorry to hear that. I firmly believe that the majority of phones out there have defects. Those that have them just don't know / don't care / begrudgingly accept what they have. I'm the latter.

I'd roll the dice again my friend. Wouldn't put up with all that.

I could make the perfect phone using parts from the five I've had.
The processor and battery life from either of my first two phones, the home button from my second, the screen from my third, the volume/mute/power buttons from my fourth and the Lightning port from any of the first four. Nothing from this latest phone makes the grade.

Well, I'm in danger of being labelled OCD (if it hasn't been decided already)...but I opted to go for my 5th 6S+ today. I was going to stick with what I had but then I reminded myself that it's a £700 supposedly premium product and that gave me the impetus to try my luck again.

So it's another ruddy Samsung, this time week 43 Foxconn C3 running 9.0.2
I have the pressure point bottom left, sadly more pronounced than my last two, I also have the 'binding' at the top of the screen and the whole thing is light blue all over. This time I also get to experience the joys of a super-loose Lightning port, and yet another wobbly mute switch. My last phone had perfect buttons and switches.

So yeah, not happy at all. Plus it lags like crazy when unlocking straight out of the box. What's a man to do? Accept the mediocre, buy another brand, or try again? The latter is time consuming, stressful, and of course yet another huge gamble. Just commenting here that I'm on my fifth phone is a tad embarrassing but I'm at the point now where I fully expect to be given what amounts to a factory second whenever I visit the Apple store. :(

Sorry to say, but I think you should try another brand. I would have given up after 3 phones.

Based on what I've read on this site. I firmly believe that only the iPhones here on MacRumors have defects, lol. :D

Dang sunking that's unfortunate.

700 gbp that's 1065 usd I would absolutely settle for no less than something that's settle-able.

I'm only getting 6 hours usage and 24hr standby on TSMC chip. I leave Tmo LTE on all the time but only getting two bars as opposed to 5 bars with it off and using the HSPA Maybe that's what's eating the battery.

Do you have the regular 6S? I have the 6S Plus with a TSMC chip. I'm getting 11 hours of use with a little over 60 hours standby time with moderate usage. If you have the 6S, maybe 6 hours isn't bad.

6s or 6s plus? If the latter, it is pretty bad.

He could return his iPhone every two weeks until he gets a good one. Lol.
It's hassle though, as is setting the phone up afterwards. Not to mention the likelihood of getting yet another faulty device. If only the home button hadn't been faulty on my first device, I'd have stuck there and then. I kept my very first 6+, and my first iPhone 4. I did exchange the i5 a few times...

If only is still a close but no cigar situation

I Would have been delighted to keep my first 6s if not for a distinct yellow blob in the upper right.

If you're paying full price and not dealing with messy contract shenanigans like I did and subsequently bar swaps, id buy two at a time this point. Reduce the number of trips to retail purgatory.

6s Plus 128gb sim free. Do you keep LTE for phone and data both on? I don't even watch much YouTube. No videos or gaming. Why is my battery so bad? That's really good.

Two at a time.:D
I was itching to try it out in the shop but refrained. It's awful walking back to the car being unsure (but pessimistic) about what's in your bag.

Been there many a time, new purchases from Apple aren't to be enjoyed until they've been inspected.

That's a great idea. Can you reserve two for online pick-up

I also have the Sim Free 6S Plus. I keep WiFi off and LTE always on since I have an unlimited data plan and don't have to worry about my data usage right now. With a 6S Plus you should be getting more than 6 hours of use with that TSMC Chip. Are you running iOS 9.1?

Just curious for those who got near perfect screens recently do you have the Samsung chip or TSMC.? It seems the Samsung chip i had prior to this one had a near perfect screen but the phone got so hot i couldn't stand it. This Phone TSMC screen not as good but stays cool. Ugh i hate this.
My 6S has the TSMC chip and the screen the perfect on mine. It doesn't matter what chip your phone has. They are all made to the same specifications.

I have had 4 iPhone 6s Plus' the 2 TSMC phones had terrible displays, the Samsungs were nearly perfect

Yes, however, Apple would not let me reserve any more iPhones after the 3rd one. I never reserved that many at a time, but had to reserve again because I got off work too late and missed my reserve time for them. :( it worked out well in the end, though. Since the Sim Free 6S Plus that I had delivered turn out to be a perfect one out of the box. :)

No iOS 9.02 in case I want to jailbreak later. I have 5g LTE data and save that for on the road. I don't know why I only get two bars LTE but when I turn it off I get 5 bars.

The Chip has absolutely nothing to do with the screens display. The screen on my 6S Plus with a TSMC chip is perfect as well, which again has nothing to do with the Chip.

My advice would be to try one last time. Open the box in store before you exchange it. If the screen is better, then exchange it for the final time. If it's worse then keep what you have and call it a day. ;)
