Stooooooop this the "6+" stuff. It's 6 Plus. This drives me insane how lazy people are. You're literally saving a half a second. Type it correctly.

What's wrong with that? This is the age of efficiency, my friend. Only a matter of time before '+' was going to be used...looks better than the word Plus anyhow.

In fact, I'm surprised Apple didn't name it 'iPhone 6+' to begin with. So much more Apple like, catchy and efficient than the word 'Plus'....IMO...LOL

Or would you prefer I say in my opinion, laugh out loud...;)

I wonder if there will be massive amounts of people returning the 6+ for a 6 after the first week of receiving it.

There goes an abundant amount of refurbished 6+'s.

Hmm...

Yeah oh yeah

I'm inclined to say there won't be. Hopefully people did there research and know how big it will be. All it takes is a trip to the store and try out a note and it'll get you a good idea. I'm going with the smaller 6.

But then you could argue that a large number of us were equally amped for that size to come out and had our hearts set on it without a doubt in mind. All assumptions...

True, I can only speak for myself when I say that I think there is a 75% chance that it will go back for a 4.7 inch normal phone.

No there won't be a mass amount of returns, simply because it's human nature not admit you were wrong. The next time they buy a phone, they will either go with same size, or choose to downsize.

Actually, this thread and my posts aren't silly for it to get 3200+ hits. It goes to prove that people are very curious about the size and I believe most are getting the 6+ as a trial to see if it works given the 14-day return/exchange policy. If yay, then they've made the right choice, if nay, then off to the 6.

----------

There will also be a lot of people who ordered the 6 who will want the plus. It all balances it out.

I see that happening too.

3200 hits and only 4 pages of posts?

Not a great return ratio.

This thread (and all the countless others like it), is dull and pointless and invariably started by people who don't feel good about themselves or their choices in life, so they feel they have to try and make others feel down too.

You go buy whatever you want to, but don't try and drag others down to your unhappy place.

Continue to believe in yourself. People who make assumptions and feel they know the person on the other end is obviously delusional. Take a swig or hit to help relax you.

I know former Galaxy Note owners who went with the Galaxy S5 due to pocketability issues. So I'm thinking there will be a lot more Plus owners downsizing than vice versa. Theres a reason the S5 outsells the Note.

I was up Thursday night and the 6+ was available on Verizon's website but I chose the 6 since I like to wear my phone on my arm at the gym and out running. It's the least intrusive way I've found to exercise with a phone.

I've said it on other threads, but I'll say it again.

When Apple provides features that differentiate it from the smaller one, i would be happy to get it. That means split screen apps and things the Note already has.

As it is now, I'm not going to pay extra for the inconvenience of needing to hold my cell phone with two hands at all times. There will be a time when that inconvenience is worth it, but that time is not now. This is Apple's first attempt at the Phablet, and it doesn't even have the features that make such a huge phone worth it. My eyes are fine. I'll survive on the smaller screen.

Let's see what the 7 Plus looks like.

I agree there will be a lot of swaps. Why? Because a lot of people are buying it simply because it's the "best" iPhone now, not realizing how beastly it is.

Yes, you can live with it. Yes, it has some minor advantages over the "base" model.

If Apple had given the 6 something unique besides a better contrast ratio instead of giving the Plus the perceived edge, a lot of folks would have never considered it.

The 6 is a phone. The Plus is a phablet.

How many people that ordered one wanted a phablet a week ago?

Not many. But almost everyone wants the "best" iPhone.

If Apple had staggered the launch how many people would have waited on the phablet? Again, most would have been thrilled with the 6.

Lotsa swaps methinks

Will their be massive returns of iPhone 6+ once people try it out?

Dear Azzin,

If you feel that this thread and threads like it are so dull and pointless then please stop clicking on them and please stop posting comments. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Everyone

I for one already "returned" my 6 plus. Cancelled the order 3 hours after placing it. 6 minus will feel goood in my hands. 6 plus not so much (and I'm 6'4" with big hands I guess)

I foresee returns in the opposite direction actually. I think more people who buy the regular 6 won't be as happy once they see more Pluses in the real world. The Plus is actually a better phone overall.

The regular 6 is a resized/redesigned 5s pretty much, whereas the Plus is actually an all new device in a new category for Apple (paired with OIS, full HD, and a much better battery).

Not from all the Galaxy Note / LG G3 owners who are buying it. 5.5" isn't that big, been carrying a phone of that size for years.

I think more iPhone 6 Plus will be returned significantly more than the 4.7 iPhone 6...

It would be different if Apple had kept the 4" display and offered the 5.5". However, the 4.7" display is a good middle ground for the everyday iPhone users and will remain the more popular option.

The average iPhone user (Not people on this forum), buying a new iPhone from the Apple store, are not going to notice a difference between the screens and is not going to know what Optical image stabilization is. What they will notice is that the iPhone 6 Plus is huge and cost more. They will opt to buy a more user friendly product, and that is the 4.7" iPhone 6.

It's not hard to understand that. That's why Apple NEEDED to give the iPhone 6 Plus features that they could have given the 4.7", Otherwise not that many people would have purchased it is it had the same specs.

I'm wondering how many people will run into Apple stores on Friday and do a quick hands on with the two sizes before buying. And when I day quick, I mean quick because there will be hundreds of people behind them.

Most people who don't like it are going to keep it because they won't want to admit they were wrong.

There's no doubt that those who have owned iPhones since the 4 came out will be shocked when they first open the box and see the size of the Plus. I know I will on Friday. It will be like going from a small car to an SUV. Trying to figure how to park them, back them out, etc will be a challenge at first. But most people adjust, and very few ever go back to a small car.

I'm still guessing it'll be the other way around. More people feeling remorse that they didn't go bold, fork up the extra hundred bones and get the Plus. All it'll take is seeing a few people enjoying it without complaining about pocketability and other such nonsense.

Well, a lot of people get SUVs and minivans while the kids are still around, and then once they move out, they sell the SUVs and get sedans, or retire and get coupes and convertibles.

They retire and get big buicks are drive with their blinkers flashing.

To be fair, the 6+ will fit in pant pockets just fine (unless you wear really tight jeans). The bigger issues would be whether you can deal with the extra bulk and not wanting to change how you've always handled the iPhone in the past (i.e.h, the ease of using it single-handedly in situations where your other hand is occupied such as during shopping, at the airport, while driving, etc.).

This.

I have smallish hands, and I use my 5s one handed mostly. However I ordered the 6 plus. Why? Because I'm looking at it as a mini iPad, rather than a massive phone. I hope to replace both my iPad and iPhone with one device that I can take with me everywhere.

I don't know whether that idea is practical yet. It will take more than 1 day to figure it out, so I'll be using my iPhone 6 plus for a couple weeks before I decide whether to keep it or exchange for a 6.

Reminds me of how some people shorten "iPod touch" to "iTouch". Just use the full name. You're not saving that much time. Or at the very least use a text expander.

Watch the forums on the 19th and 20th. The whining will be legendary. Legendary.

I believe the correct term is legen-waitforit-dary.
