I have the iPad 4 and it still is working pretty well. I'll probably get a new iPad when they drop support for it, which I have a feeling will be with iOS 10 next year.

Nope. Got an Air 2 a couple of months ago and gave my Air 1 to my wife.

Developers haven't pushed the Air 1 to the max in terms of app performance so the Air 2 has plenty of gas left in the tank, especially with the RAM upgrade and that 8 core GPU. iOS 9 will bring some great multitasking features to the Air 2 that older iPads won't receive, and it will be plenty powerful for iOS X next year.

Probably not. I really love my iPad mini 2, and if the mini 4 has 2 GB of ram and/or louder speakers, I'll be tempted. But my mini 2 is good enough I'll probably stick with it.

I got an Air 2 a week ago due to the rumors that there might not be an Air 3 this fall. I'm happy with it and am sure I will be for a good while, so no replacements anytime soon.

My iPad Air still works for most of my needs so I probably won't update it. I may consider adding a Mini 4 if it gets some nice updates as it would be easier to carry that one in my purse.

I will definitely be getting a replacement for my Mini 1. At this stage I'm thinking Mini 4 but also considering Mini 2, Air 2 or potential Air 3 depending on price/specs of the new models. The size of the Mini fits nicely between my MacBook Air and iPhone 6 but I use it so much that I am considering the bigger version.

I don't think we will upgrade this fall. I still love my Mini 2 and our two Air 1. The only thing that could tempt me, is an iPad Pro - mainly for watching Netxflix and TV in bed

i'm so tempted to get mini 4 for on the go

but do i really need one when i would have

6S +
mini 4
air 2
macbook

ugh

No you don't need it.

But if you can afford it then go for it. I would be interested to hear how you use each of them.
Honestly once I get the 6 plus I doubt i will feel i need the mini 4 given it's huge size.

a use my macbook and ipad at home together equally but adding another 2 other devices? don't think it's worth it.

The Mini fits nicely between a 6+ and MacBook imo (I assume the new 12" one). Depends how you use it but I think the Mini could replace the Air whereas the 6+ can't replace the Mini (it's much bigger, 2.3x screen area).

There's also the portability issue. For me the iPhone 6 is the biggest I can fit in my pocket, the iPad Mini is the biggest I can hold/use one handed and the MacBook Air is the most portable laptop that provides the power I require. Everyone has different requirements in this regard.

It's the 13 inch version

But yeah I see what you are saying. Brought the air to work today but is abit too big for having in the office to me to read and watch stuff

nope, but if there is a new product line, then i may upgrade...

air2 now, and no new airs needed...

Totally depends on what new features are brought to the table. I use my iPad a lot less than I used to now that I have the retina Macbook, but it's still an essential computing tool for me - just used even more casually than it was before. I'm excited to see what comes though!

I use my macbook for general web searching and posting on forums when I'm settled but when you want to reply to stuff quickly i use my iPad.

still use all my apps on my iPad, twitter, Facebook etc so i get very good usage out of both.

I have the Air 2 and don't see me buying the Air Pro at this point. Besides it is probably getting about time to look at replacing the iMac.

I feel like I kinda want a new iPad to replace my ageing iPad Mini, but I don't use my iPad all that much now I've got my rMB.

Since I've got the 12" MacBook a 12" iPad Pro wouldn't be anymore portable than my Mac. So unless it has a killer feature or two that can sway me I can't see me wanting one. An iPad Air 3 would be perfect. I don't want another iPad Mini, and I like the size of my girlfriends Air 2.

However, I don't want to buy year-old tech. Current or not. I'm in a position where I don't need a new iPad so I'll happily wait a while till a new mid sized model is released.

Not me.

Had various iPads, the Air 2 is actually the first that I like without reservation.

I use it purely as a casual entertainment device at home and on the go. If I used it for productivity and the iPad Pro came along..... I'd still use my MacBook Pro :)

Yes. It's time to put my iPad 3 out to pasture. Looking to purchase the iPad mini 4, but I'll have to see what screen Apple puts in the device.

Nope. The Air 2 is such a monumental leap in performance(Tri-Core; 2GB RAM) over previous iPads that I think it will be new 'iPad 2' that will last me for years. I have learned my lesson after the iPad 3 fiasco.

Same here. iMac is definitely the only thing that's getting long in the tooth, and it was the only thing I didn't upgrade last year.

My thought exactly. Not because I happen to own an Air 2 - if something demonstrably massively better comes along, I'll happily buy it - but because it's the first iPad I've owned that doesn't seem in any way compromised.

Had a 1,2,3,rMini previously. All of those never quite ticked every box for me, be it performance (1,3,rMini lack of ram) or display. I'm of the opinion that 2 & 4 were previously the best iPads, albeit that's having never actually owned a 4.
