Ultra 1 here and I am not upgrading this year. I was hoping for at least more battery life with the new chip. That would have pushed me to upgrade. But not enough feature differences as others have mentioned already. Also, glad that the new modular face is on Watch OS10 too.

Im keeping my virgin titanium v1

While environmentally friendly, recycled titanium sounds inferior

I'm pulling the trigger, for me the Siri on watch is enough to consider. I also want to take advantage of the best trade in and I think I will get the most value now. Apple is giving $380 and I am using Apple Card w/monthly payments so it feels less of a stretch.

Will u upgrade to the Ultra2? Mine is at 96 and I bumped my watch during training with a kettle bell. Since it is cosmetic, Apple Care won’t help. It still bothers me enough, that I think about upgrading;) maybe I will get used to it with time..View attachment 2260712
No I’m not upgrading my Ultra1. I have AppleCare+, so once the battery hits 79%, I’ll have the Watch replaced. Now if Apple release new health sensors next year, then I’ll upgrade my Ultra1.

If you looking to get a Watch and have never had a Very.co.uk account then you can get 20% off on your first order and opening a credit account.

No, even more so after seeing the paltry “upgrade” it is.
Just can’t see anything better than my current Ultra.

How do you tell the battery health on Apple Watch. With iPhone it says on phone setting and third party such as cocconut battery can show it on phone but not watch ??

Go into settings on your Apple Watch and scroll down to Battery. You should then see the battery capacity.

Yeah, little ticked off on that. Used to be just an up swipe for a quick check. Now it seems I have to go to Settings and get to “Battery” to check it.

Battery level is still on swipe up. I don't recall health ever being anywhere other than in Settings. Same for the phone.

No that's different.

Battery Health is how the battery is progressing through its lifespan. It's not "You have 80% charge". You have two % figures for your battery.

You can still swipe up to get to current battery level, you just need to customize your control centre.

Did you not watch the presentation? :D

Upgraded screen (brightness), on device Siri, additional storage capacity, upgraded CPU, upgraded neural core, additional battery life (in extended power saving).

I had the Ultra 1 and sold it. i found it big and chunky. I went back to my SSSB 5. I’ve preordered the SS 9 but I do like the new watch face on the Ultra. I hint it’s not enough reason to get it though.

Not one of these is worth updating for.
Current screen is fantastic. I get 2.5 days out of my battery now. How much storage is really needed on a watch? Ultra is more than fast enough.

I don’t currently have an Ultra, but it seems like a decent upgrade to me.

Depending on how it works, on-device Siri would be useful to me. I use Siri more on my AW than any other device.

Right, whether it's worth it or not is up to you, but clearly it IS an improved watch.

My reasoning is the same as a few others I have seen posted. I was not going to order after watching the event. But I decided to see what the trade in was for my current Ultra. When I saw $380, I decided to order the Ultra 2. If you use your apple card to pay for it, that is more cash back. The Ultra 2 will end up costing me about $450, including tax.

Has anyones Ultra order status changed from “order in progress”?
Not for me, and I wouldn’t sweat it, they might already be here (US) and just get shipped, remember they said less air travel and more ocean shipment

I’m guessing the more ocean shipment will make it harder to track as it is coming from overseas?
