I’m guessing the more ocean shipment will make it harder to track as it is coming from overseas?
Why? It’s going to take longer but why would it be harder to track?
Same kind of tracking is used for container shipments as eg fedex

Might not be harder to track, I am just not use to hearing anything about UPS using ships as opposed to jets to transport cargo. Does UPS have or use ships? Maybe it will be the same if UPS transports from the starting point to the user. Or will another company transport from overseas to the US and then UPS take over?

I wish they would lose the battery health %. Would be better if it just sad good or needs replacing.
I know some people that are so OCD about monitoring their battery health percentage that they'd probably welcome the opportunity to have it as a complication on their watch face. 😅

You are talking about tracking your watch order, right? My guess is that the watch will be sent in bulk by ship to the US, and individual watch orders will be sent out from there. So when you get tracking info for your order, the origin point will be within US, rather than China.

but then MR members wouldn't have anything else to do if they can't check the battery health on the AW, iPhone, MacBook daily ;)

My guess is that if they're following through on the threat to ship things by boat, there will be no tracking until the devices are shipped inside the destination country, which kind of obscures the actual ship date from the point of assembly, since that'd have to take place several weeks ahead.

Last year in the Apple Watch and iPhone tracking thread, we were able to track our orders from the warehouse they were assembled and packed in, all the way to our doorstep or store for ISPU. It was pretty cool.

That is a bit too obsessive for me and it would also take away from reading over and responding to all the “Apple is doomed and this update stinks posts.’ 😁

Stupid not-working quote function. This was in response to the statement that the double tap on the new watch is not quite the same as the existing accessibility feature.

That’s true, but since double tap only works in Apple native apps, that really limits its usefulness. The most likely places I’d want to use it would be in third party apps like Drafts and Gymatic.

Nope…and I’ve got an 8 1/4 “ wrist:). Personally, I think the AW Ultra is too ”chunky” of a design. Just not drawn to it But, I’ve also got an iPhone 13 mini that they’ll have to pry from my cold dead hands😊

For those who bought the original Ultra, I’d think you’d be happy that Apple made the first one so good that the Ultra 2 is just an incremental upgrade. I’d say the Ultra 2 is for anyone coming into the Ultra for the first time. Not for those who bought the already incredible original Ultra. I mean…who want’s to upgrade their watch every year anyway?

It definitely didn’t entice me to upgrade my Ultra1.

If I had a regular Watch regular Series (4 to 6), yes I would buy one, for sure.
But I've bought the Watch Ultra in October last year and I can't be happier with this piece of tech.
On a side note, I’m afraid  makes a mistake by doing very little incrementation to this watch. Unless it has a real added value (which isn’t the case this year)
I can't wait to install watchOS 10!!! I've been very serious and I havent downloaded the Beta version but this new OS looks to be dope!

Ordered. Might be too big and might have to return it, but decided to try. Battery life (more time on cellular connection) and that new modular face are too tempting.

And why is that any of your concern? Can I not do what I want? Do I need approval first?

the modular face is already in watchOS 10 for Watch Ultra. It isn’t a special feature of the Watch Ultra 2:)
