I wear earbuds, well IEMs most of the time. They are small and mobile.

And I couldn´t care less how people look at me. I would feel cumbersome and douchy with big phone or headphones with me, even when there wouldn´t be anyone around.

Just common sense.

If you consider someone's choice of a phone "douchy" then what would you say about your attitude? Seems like the only thing here that's 'douchy' to me.

Sorry, but I know many average sized men and women who carry iPhone 6 plus' in their pockets with no issue. I am a 6'1" male that wears normal jeans and pants and have no problem at all fitting my iPhone 6 in my pockets with tons of room to spare.

This guy has to be some kind of joke.

Just regular jeans.

Interesting--I would say you must be really short--but actually I am really short--only 5'4" and wear jeans with 30" inseam--and my new iPhone 6 fits really well in my Lee jeans--with a slim Maxboost case. But I guess all jeans are not created equal.

Edit--wow--never mind--just saw that pic--my jeans do not look like that. Maybe a phone the size of the iPod Shuffle would be more appropriate.

I'm with you ApplesAOranges!
I still roll with a 4S, but would love some new tech in the old size.
Really not interested in the 6 form factor in the least.
Hoping some news comes out the Apple will offer something new in a smaller size.

I remember when the trend was in making cell phones smaller..
I've got 3 iPads, don't need another in my shorts when I'm at the beach!!!!

The 6 is definitely too big. Unwieldy in the hand, can't get a solid secure grip. Plus one-handed use is impossible, making it worthless as a mobile device. I'll be upgrading my 4S to a 5S.

I agree. My 6 felt big for about 2 hours. Then seemed normal. The 6 actually isn't that big. Just looks that way at first. You'll adapt.

You do get used to it very quickly. I saw someone using an iPhone 4 tonight, and it looked so tiny. It almost seemed like a toy.

Useless as a mobile device because you can't use it one handed? I use my 6 plus with both hands and it suits my needs as a mobile device just fine.

You're either confusing the 6 with the 6+, or you have smaller than average hands.

one handed use is overrated. It allows for anti social behaviour. Two handed puts you more in touch with your fellow human. Use your mobile one handed or talk to someone around you. hmm I know which I prefer

I need a new iPhone. My iPhone headphone jack is broken and the software is slow. :(

But the iPhone 6 is gigantic! And I´m talking about the regular one. The iPhone 6+ is like a mini tablet.

The iPhone 6 won´t fit into my trousers pockets (I´ve tried), even without a case and I always want to use a case with iPhones.

So what to do? Wait until Apple makes a smaller iPhone? Is there any rumours that iPhone 6S would be smaller?

iPhone 6S = iPhone 6 Small. :)

I had the plus for a couple weeks and couldn't get used to the size. We have 3 other upgrades so I got a 6 and gave the plus to our younger son.

No it's not, are you sure you didn't look at the 6+?

You seriously need to give the 6 at least a week. I have had mine now for a few months, and I will probably get the 6s plus this fall unless the 6s gets a killer battery. You will adjust to the size in no time.

I'm not confusing it for the 6+ (c'mon, how stupid do you think people are?) and my hands are perfectly normal.

Maybe if you use your 6 with two hands while sitting down, its size makes sense. But if you need a portable device for on-the-go use, it's a downgrade from the smaller form factor.

I use the 6+ as a portable device for on-the-go use with no problems. My wife has a 5s and every time I pick it up I'm astounded that anyone would want to go back to that tiny screen.

I say use whatever phone you like. You're not convincing me but then again it makes no difference to me what others use. I doubt the iPhone is going to shrink anytime soon, so now would be a good time to weigh up your options. Continue with a form factor that is being phased out or consider a future where a smartphone might not be made for you.

People moaned about the size of the iPhone 5 when it first came out but we don't hear that complaint any more. People either adapt or go back to dumb phones I suppose. There's a setup out there for everyone,

So basically you're saying that smartphones are not portable, on-the-go devices, because the iPhone 6 is still only equal to or smaller in size than most modern smartphones. It's really not that big. I'm not a big guy (about 5'9", average build and hand size) and I seldom need a second hand to use my phone comfortably, and I certainly don't need to be sitting down to handle it. lol. I came from a 5s, and it only took a few days for the 6 to feel perfectly natural and now the display of the 5s seems quite small.

So you are saying there are times when you do need a second hand. And what kind of grip can you get on the 6? If I'm walking down the street or standing on the train, I don't want to have to baby the phone so it doesn't slip out of my hand. I want one I can get a secure grip on, like I can with the 4/5.

I have an iPhone 6 and use it one handed 90% of the time. This includes walking through the airport, at a basketball game, while running in the park, etc. I have not dropped it once. Clearly your opinion that it is not portable or good for on the go use isn't exactly true..

Yes, there are times when I use a second hand, but then, the same was true for my 5s, like when composing a long text. More often then not, I'm just checking email, Facebook, navigating through music or pictures, or surfing the web; all of which I comfortably do one-handed on my 6. You talk about one-handed vs. two-handed use, but let me tell you, viewing web pages on the 5s often required two hands because of the frequent two-fingered zooming to see things on the smaller display.

As for secure grip, even in a case I can easily wrap my fingers all the way around my 6. That is to say, with it resting in my palm, my thumb can meet my other fingers. I don't know how much more secure a grip one needs than being able to make a fist around something. It fits in my hand quite securely and comfortably. I'm not going to lie, it's obviously easier to reach the corners of the screen one-handed on the 5s, but at the same time, a larger display makes it so much easier to text, email, web surf, and use maps. Thus, I would say that the 6 is a superior portable device than the 5s because it's still small enough to go everywhere in my pocket, and I can do more with it.

But hey, this is all just my opinion. I understand if a smaller device is better for you, but it's a bit silly to say that the size of the 6 doesn't make sense or that it's not a portable device. The market has spoken. This form factor (and even larger ones) clearly make sense to a lot of people.
