My wish is to have Find My Phone be able to auto refresh so that I don’t have to continually restart the app in order to find my kid’s current location.

Is it not possible to have real-time tracking in the 5G era? Maybe allow other apps, such as Maps to use this data too to navigate to people, even if they are on the move?

More customization. Let us add or remove buttons in all apps. Let us make it the way we want it to be.

I just want three (3) simple things:

1. Better battery life, adding longer battery runtime between charges and overall improving efficiency should be the priority of any OS update. If they could squeeze out an extra couple hours that adds up over time to slow down battery degradation and ultimately makes the device lifespan longer. Good for the user and the environment.

2. Bug fixes, iOS has been adding so many new features at the cost of quality control over the recent years, the new Safari is especially broken and poorly optimized on even the latest iPhone 13 Pro Max. Constant annoying bugs like tabs closing itself and generally sluggish and choppy experience when for example im trying to switch between tab groups of a few hundred tabs. There are bugs in other native apps too but it’s too many to list them all here.

3. Improve the UI and UX, since Apple introduced larger screen phones they have compromised on usability. iOS was and still is designed for the era of small screen size phones. The 13 Pro/Max are basically unusable one handed and mostly software design is to blame. Reachability barely helps because all it does is bring half of the screen down while you still can’t reach the button with your thumb.

Unfortunately, important quality of life features like these usually don’t make any headlines compared to adding completely new features and just doing the bare minimum for optimization.

Just let me choose when my iPhone battery should be full and to what percentage. Now with this “optimised” battery setting it’s always full hours before it has to be and when using CarPlay it’s also not necessary to always charge to 100 percent every time I plug it in.

A multilingual keyboard. Yes, I know 3rd party keyboards do that but they all crash often which makes them useless. A better keyboard in general would be nice (stop autocorrecting words that are already correct, prioritize smaller corrections vs. completely changing the entire word, like don't change "goinh" to "goosenecked" if you could just change it to "going").

SONY’s LDAC bluetooth codec, even if installable from AppStore as a paid system extension.

The mental gymnastics being performed by some asking for less privacy invasion while also asking for app side-loading is hilarious to see.

Here's hoping for improved HomeKit and more focus on Thread with iOS 16.

I don’t care about privacy and I want side loading. Many android apps which can be side loaded are open sourced and likely spy on the user less than the native apps found in the app or play store.

It would be nice to plug in your phone to a screen/dock and it turn into MacOS with Word excel etc. I love what some android phones have done turning them into tiny desktop computers as well.

The only device you need for everything will be your phone. So good.

I wish that it happens, (but what about the macs? Will they get cannibalized?)

A complete rebuild from the ground up. iOS 15 is just iOS 7 stretched over a larger area. 7 wasn't meant for 6"+ screens and many of its interactions and features are a fudge on modern phones. To this end:

17. Spotlight commands on the lockscreen: swipe down to start typing and see a list of things to do (send tweet, message person x etc) justy like webOS 'just type'.

I was surprised to learn this is there now. When phone is unlocked at Lock Screen, swipe down to bring up Spotlight without having to go to Home Screen first.

I want iOS App Libraries to visually indicate when an app is not on a Desktop page.

Or, a folder with all "non-desktop" apps is automatically generated.

The ability to transfer any file (pictures/videos/documents/etc.) between an iPhone and PC (and vice versa) without 3rd party app or wired connection. Kind of like drag and drop.

I haven’t upgraded my 12 Pro Max beyond 14.1, and have no plans to update to iOS 15. I’ll start using iOS 16, once I receive my 14 Pro Max.
