I'm sorry, but charging several times per day feels too complicated for a sleep tracker to me. Until the battery life improves and you need to charge only once a day or less, this sounds not very user friendly. But good luck to you if you like it that way

Well I don't know about charging the watch SEVERAL times a day. I don't know why you think that. I charge my watch once a day for about 11/2 hours and that's it, I run the sleep app at night.
No big deal

I think that because at least one who replied to me told me they charge before AND after they use the app at night, which equals at least twice a day (morning and afternoon/evening). Since SEVERAL is defined as MORE THAN ONE, and 2 qualifies as "more than one", then 2 = SEVERAL.

It´s ok that is no big deal to you, I only stated it was to me.

I throw mine on the charger while I'm getting ready for work in the morning, and again while I'm showering, etc, in the evening. Two times when I typically wouldn't be wearing my watch anyway.

I realize this isn't ideal for some, but I prefer this to using a separate sleep tracker device. (The fewer devices the better, IMO.) I used to use Sleep Cycle, but started docking my phone at night. Not only do I prefer having fewer cables, but I found if my phone was on my mattress I was highly likely to pick it up and start using it anytime I woke up in the night. Now that I keep it docked, I tend to get back to sleep more quickly.

While I agree the accuracy of this app isn't ideal yet, I'm happy with the progress it's making and confident it will continue to get better.

Several is more than two not more than one. Problem solved for you. :)

The other thing about sleep tracker is that your phone isn't locked at any point, so if you use iCloud backup it'll never work?

Yes it's no big deal to me because I charge it 1 time a day that is it 1 time for a little ove an hour.

Man i can't use no more your app for about 2 weeks, the app just crash after i press awake, i've deleted the app and reinstalled it, i've also tried your guide from the troubleshooting section but nothing change.
How can i solve the problem? when will you Update the app?

Update Released

• Adjust Sensitivity, *Tap "Set Sensitivity" under the 'More' view in the iPhone app for directions to set — Only set if you feel you have been getting inaccurate results for your sleep* Now from the watch app select from 3 different sensitivities to better fit your sleep analysis. Values range from 1 — being a deep sleeper with limited movements (the default value, if the app has worked thus far with tracking leave selected) to 3 being a light sleeper having more movements while sleeping. All new sleep data will be analyzed with your selected sensitivity.
• Fell Asleep Fix, Fixed a bug where "fell asleep" sometimes showed as 0m
• Health Sync Tweak, Now when syncing your sleep durations to health "asleep" times are saved in the blocks they occur in
• Step Fix - Steps will now auto-update if they were "0" when the sync between Watch and iPhone occurred
• UI Tweaks, Smoother transitions and an overall less glitchy appearance
• Exercise Pulse Compatibility, Sleep Pulse 2 will again sync your resting heart rate with Exercise Pulse

I'm finding my sleep results much more accurate now that I can change the sensitivity. Thank you!

Does the app support a url scheme so I can add it to my Launcher widget?

I should be able to leave my watch underneath my pillow like the Sleep Cucle app. I don't want to wear it while I'm sleeping!

Latest update (2.1) borked a few things. Used to be the stats can be transferred to the phone without the phone app running. That stopped working and I believe it's due to background app refresh no longer being supported. (App no longer appears in the list of BAP), which means I have to get out of bed, walk to the phone, open the app and then sync just like 1.0 forced you to do. App refresh in 2.0 was a god send in that regards. Sync and voilà, it's done.

It also crashes way more often than 2.0 did. I appreciate the addition of the sensitivity choices but overall it's a regression from 2.0.

The latest updates seem to have been the trick. Being able to change the sensitivity has been a big plus, in addition the night steps is now correct. Now the app exceeds what my Fitbit tracker can do as my Fitbit Flex does not record my pulse while I sleep. Not that I am sure how to use that information yet but nevertheless it does do it. It still was a little wrong, I was awake once. Hence the 65 step. Had to use the bathroom and check on the kids.

Yes, I'm having a lot of issues with the latest 2.1 as well.

-Sync is unreliable and usually requires multiple attempts
-the watch app usually crashes multiple times in the morning when I'm trying to sync
-Does not reliably detect when awake (I was awake for about 3 hours engaging in many activities with my gf and the app said I was in "light sleep" the entire time. It's actually pretty funny to see the ridiculous amount of movement in the app and it still registers as being asleep)

This morning was an extremely frustrating experience. I tried syncing as I woke up, it predictably crashed. I tried syncing again and was able to get the pop up sleep info on the watch. I wore the watch for about another minute, then placed it on the charger for ~20 minutes. When I put the watch back on I realized that it hadn't synced to my phone. I go into the app and attempt to resync with that frustratingly tiny sync button. In my frustration I accidentally force press and start a new sleep. I immediately cancel and continue attempting to sync my prior sleep. I get a popup that says that it's unable to sync because the last sleep was canceled.

These are exactly the frustrating I don't want from a sleep tracker. It was one of my concerns when I switched from sleep++. Sleep++ is extremely basic (almost to the point of being worthless), but at least it works and works well.

Edit: Also, this morning I decided to try a delete and reinstall to see if that will fix it. I can report on that later, however I'm pretty disappointed that the app is unable to resync all the Sleep Pulse data that's already saved in the health app on my iPhone... I basically need to start from scratch after a months worth of sleep tracking.

Not impressed at all with this app. Last night said I was awake in 1 block if 2hr 20m which I wasn't.

I've updated, restarted, adjusted sensitivity but same.

Also have crashes and no syncs on a morning to

Been nearly a month since the last update. Has anything been submitted? I can understand if a significant amount of troubleshooting is required for this next update because the last update seems to have broken a lot of things (for me). I don't want to rush it, but I'm hoping some significant stability fixes are in the pipeline. I'm afraid I might need to switch back to sleep++ because the crashes are becoming more trouble than they are worth...

Is anybody using "SleepIsle" app. Is it value for money, b/c it exacts a heavy price?

Fitbit just upped their game for those using the Fitbit Flex to track sleep. Auto Sleep Tracking is here for Fitbit Flex! I am still using the OP's app but that auto sleep tracking is pretty neat.

I agree that auto sleep tracking is extremely handy, however, it's hardly anything new. Virtually all activity trackers on the market do this; in fact I'm pretty surprised the flex didn't. I'm guessing it was the last fitbit holdout, because it was their cheapie budget option.

Honestly, I think one of the bigger issues with auto sleep tracking on Apple Watch is that you still have to charge it daily anyway (which I usually do right before bed). If the apple watch could even get 3-4 days on avg then auto sleep tracking would be much more useful.

In fact (this is way off topic), but I'm realizing that vast majority of things that I use my apple watch for (activity tracking, run & workout tracking with HR, sleep tracking, basic notifications) are accomplished just as well, if not better, by other, cheaper options on the market that have battery life in the range of 4-7 days. I like my Apple Watch, but being realistic it's really not the best wearable for me. Part of the reason I got it was for future growth through OS updates and new apps/API's. I'm still hopeful that this will pan out, but I'm not as certain. I just bought the Garmin Forerunner 225 for my gf as a Christmas present for $220, no tax/shipping (half the price of my Apple Watch). It has activity tracking, automatic sleep tracking, built in GPS, enhanced run metrics/tracking, HR monitor, stand/movement reminders, and a battery life of ~7 days. Being honest with myself, that's probably more the device for me.... Things such as touch screen, force touch, 3rd party apps, glances, etc is all fancy, but most of that stuff I don't typically use.

What do you mean all activity tracker do this? Fitbit Flex, Fitbit One, and many other Fitbits track sleep. That's not new. What they did that upped the game was make it automatic. You do not have to tap it into a sleep mode. I'd love to have an app for the Apple Watch that just tracks this automatically without my having to do anything. Charging the Apple Watch doesn't take long. I put it on the charger during times that I'm not going to be active. Maybe an hour during the work day when I'm going to be at my desk or during that time watching television in the evening.

And what I'm saying is, maybe this is new for the flex, but the fitbit Charge and Surge have done that since the beginning. And all of the activity trackers that I'm aware of that launched this year (looked at probably close to a dozen) all do automatic sleep tracking.

i have a xiaomi band that tracks sleep automatically and cost virtually nothing...
