I cannot believe all these stupid iPhone rumors! Has the whole world gone mad? It's just a phone! You would think it was the cure for cancer all the coverage it gets. I wish for once Americans would get off their arses, their phones, and their computers to actually go outside and interact with humans. Video games and televisions have done something terrible to peoples lives. They have taken the humanity out of living, and distorted everyones perception of reality. Do yourselves a favor, and I mean you greedy little 14 year olds, and you technology consumed/obsessed adults and throw out your t.v.'s, video game consoles, and try to just use the computer once a week. Your life will be so much more full filling.

And especially to you people who render a phone "completely useless" because it doesn't have some nifty feature you want. Remember there are kids in this world that won't even be able to eat tonight. So be great full for what you have.

Anyway, I've said it before and I'll say it again, until the iPhone comes to other carriers in the U.S. it just isn't news worthy. And where are the Macbook rumors?

this kind of comment shouldn't even be dignified with a response, but I just have to say that I wish we had a bury/digg down function...what a douche! Giving people a hard time because we're excited about new technology.

Update them... what else is done? They want case redesigns. They're blind.

I would be incredibly surprised if Apple releases a new MacBook (pro or otherwise) that is purely a case redesign, it would be so silly. Release a case redesign now, and then in 1 to 2 months release again with the montevina platform? Makes no sense to me.

While I am aware that hardware has been released at WWDC in the past, this time around I really think there will only be the iPhone in terms of hardware, and that coincides with the HUGE software release around it (iPhone 2.0 with App Store).

But hey, I could be completely wrong and they could update their entire notebook line with shiny new cases, who knows!!!

And it was from someone with 1,300+ posts on a tech website... :D Pot, I would like you to meet my friend Kettle...

My WWDC wishlist...

1) 3G iPhone (easy one that, but I'd like to see OpenGL ES 2.0 support)
2) Tablet Mac (I can wish! Honestly, I'm surprised tablet PCs never took off.)
3) Xcode 3.1 and the SDK moved out of beta (don't know if this is due to coincide with Firmware 2.0's final release)
4) I'm looking to get a Mac Pro soon so Blu-ray drives on Mac Pro - though this has dropped down the list now I can get HD films on iTunes UK (which has also given me a reason to buy :apple:TV).

Nice list.

:apple: I want 3G phones/GPS/video
:apple: No more intergrated GMA on any mac computer (seriously, who cares if the Pro's buy a cheap Macbook or Mini for pro use, they care more about iPhone/Windows (exepect big things for .MAC and windows next week) and iPod users anyway, and the bulk of the profits come from them, plus the iMac, so removing the GMA wouldn't hurt :apple: at all
:apple: New displays, new price point, options for Glossy and Matte, also iMacs are powerful enough now for PRO use so stop making them just for consumers (ala no Matte) and better firewire (texas instruments)
:apple: Mid Range computer
:apple: New Final Cut Pro, easier to use, deep functions.
:apple: Logic have the ability to run and GUI (skin) like Pro Tools for easy back and forth usability for studio use

Not sure we'll see the tablet quite yet.
Coming, yes, not sure it will be next week though.

I'm sorry, what does this mean? That was last year...

that guy said that nothing should be introduced in the wwdc
now we all know that the iphone 3g will be introduced in wwdc but not in macworld this time, this could be for macbooks too

Yet he still has the time to make almost a post a day for the past four years

Periods are helpful.

He didn't say that, at least, if I understand what you're saying.
The 3G iPhone is coming out in two days at WWDC.
No MacBooks; there's nothing to change there.

so you think the next update will be macworld 09? or before unintroduced without any events?

I'll ask you again---what makes you so sure? I haven't seen any reason why they can't come out monday. Unlikely? Yes. Possible? Definitely.

so thats next month only, ill wait and see

I believe his reasoning behind July is due to the GPU and Wireless issues that intel is having with the montevina platform. He may be forgetting that the MBP does not use these components, and therefor is not subject to the same delay.

I think we're going to have to wait...

If (when) the 3G iPhone is released on June 9th at WWDC, will it be available immediately?
I think we're going to have to wait until later this month before we can get our hands on the new phone(s). I think this for the following reasons:

  • The 2.0 OS isn't ready. Beta 6 (5A308) is not stable enough for a widespread release. There are likely newer builds, but I doubt Apple would have gone to production without seeding the final build.
  • The AppStore isn't populated. iPhone developers have yet to be given access to submit apps and begin testing AppStore-based installations of their apps.
  • AT&T stores don't (yet) have the phones. Apple could have coordinated a widespread coordinated delivery Monday, but I think that is unlikely.
  • The hype is only getting started. Sure, iPhones have been scarce for the last month, but Apple would be robbing themselves of free, widespread publicity by delaying the launch by a week (or more.)
While I'm excited for Monday to be here, I suspect we're going to receive the announcement and then have to wait...

The delay. I don't care that the MacBook Pros don't use the components that are being delayed. Apple has gotten exclusivity before, but the delay is real. They won't get the boards early; they would have had to have them already.

Would you rather have cauterized boards inside your MacBook Pros?

im sure that SJ will give us somthing, like say, there will be great new update for the macbooks soon or somthing like that.. just like he did last year when they introduced the iphone he said they will have new ones later on

True, I do see more likelihood of it coming out in a week or two, but really would love to walk into an apple store monday and pick up a 3g.

Define "cauterized boards". I believe there is a possibility that Apple will release a redesign. The current MBP design is 6+ years old, and the MBA is stealing it's thunder.

Some list you have there.

Unfortunately you are going to be bitterly disappointed.
