I know it goes against the whole shareholders wanting money, but just imagine if a company as large and wealthy as Apple decided to just do it for free for apple users.

But that would be far too generous

lol... no... waiting to see this AI fad crash and burn in 3 years.. and see all these tech companies swallow the (seemingly) very hard to swallow pill of the technological plateau

at some point things have to settle down... there's no mountain that rises to infinity. Sorry.

Sure, I'll pay a subscription for AI tools from the tech company that is the furthest behind of anyone who also unleashed on the world that which is Siri.... and we should all be paid compensation for the minutes of our lives we will never get back with most of those interactions.

I would pay extra for a Jarvis- like Siri. But please, please Apple…. do not bundle it with other stuff that I may not want. I don’t do Apple Music, arcade, etc., etc. and I don’t want to pay for them just to get Siri + . Reminds me of how cable makes me pay for the dreaded golf channel just in order to get a channel that I want. No thanks, and by the way, that individual feature of Siri plus should not be more than $2.99 a month.

Time will tell if Apple gets better than Google at AI features, however if Siri vs Google Assistant is anything to go buy Google will easily be superior. And they are already quite a bit ahead

I'll save you the time. They won't.

At least not in any foreseeable future. Beyond the fact that they are 10 years later to even beginning to develop AI compared to anyone else.... their score card with on device processing is horrid. They couldn't even manage to get basic Siri queries to work with ODP. Apple also seems fully aware of this as they attempt to burry that much of what they need to implement this will still require server side processing because AI models are not going to fit in on a SOC anytime soon.

Case in point, most of the better Apple Intelligence features (and the ones that will probably work) are being carved out to Open AI and likely Gemini. You know, things that were in development for a decade before they got turned on to the public.... vs. Apple who only started internal work a few years ago.

No, not untill AI will be able to analyze any website content or source of information for me.

No I would not pay extra for it and thats pretty sad along with pedantic and pathetic that we as Apple device users (MacOS users) have to pay Apple Tax on hardware and then get fleeced of more money for something that should be free and included with the OS. Sad because I was looking forward to finally updating my 2018 Mac Mini to a newer M4 Mac Studio to enjoy those AI features, now I think I probably won't.

If they start charging, I surely will not use it. I am already on the fence about upgrading to the 16 PM, if it ends up being a subscription for AI. I am out. That’s a deal breaker for me.

Not paying for anything outside of music and cloud storage.

Death to subscription greed

Which reminds me i need to cancel my free trial Netflix, Apple TV+, Apple News, and Fitness subscriptions

No. I think we’re getting close to the tipping point where consumers are starting to get fed up of subs for everything. Market forces will ultimately decide.

Almost everyone who says no will open their wallets and pay.

If you are a naysayer are you planning to go Android?

The devil is in the details of course, but I find it highly unlikely that people will pay for Apple Intelligence features en mass.
