How does the side protection feel on the wrapsol ultra? Do you think it will absorb any of the shock if you dropped the phone on its side?

So I ended up getting rid of my wrapsol front protector. Way too many imperfections. Im using the invisible shield for my front now and only my front. Just thought I'd update you guys! I ordered a replacement for my wrapsol however. I'll see how that one turns out. I can't return it because I love my matte back way too much!!

what exactly is wrapsols return policy if you do a botched install? do you pay to ship it back?

Well it wasn't my fault. There was adhesive marks already on the damn thing before the installation. Yeah you pay shipping to ship it back and for them to ship you a new one

You can easily remove it, clean off the phone, and start over.

What a bummer. That does not sound like Wrapsol to me. Maybe they're in a rush getting them out? Hmm. :(

Yeah I tried that so many times.. There was just a huge line of adhesive or something. I was super bummed. Oh well this IS seems pretty good so far but I'll see!

I'm not seeing the hype in Wrapsol at all. Not saying it looks bad but it doesn't look exceptional as many of you describe, so is it more of a "ultimate scratch protection" thing that draws so many of you to this product?

I don't want a case nor a bumper for my iPhone 4, so I was really going for the skin products, and unfortunately I had bad experience with Zagg's IS's quality, and after reading all the reviews (from the original Wrapsol matte film for previous iPhone products) I decided to take the plunge; I ordered the Ultra which doesn't really require wet application on the iPhone.

Yay Rayfire!!! :D

No but really, I think you'll like it. :)

Ah Ok. Well maybe when more people post photos of their end result my mind will sway a bit. I ordered the ultra originally, but canceled because I'm not sure its worth it. I'm really looking for clarity more than anything. Obviously I want protection against knicks and scratches but having the "strongest" protection isn't most important to me. I just want to find a good medium.

That's exactly what draws me to this product. It even offered drop protection on my 3G. I can't say the same for the iPhone 4 though... hehehe. It's all glass! I always choose protection over clarity. That is of course, as long as the case doesn't render the phone unusable. LOL.

I think they made a name for themselves with the regular matte back protector. It's just brand loyalty. I've jumped from bodyguardz to sgpstore and now I'm trying out wrapsol. I've had great experiences with the previous two.

So with regards to clarity, how do you guys think the ultra compares to the Power Support Crystal film?

No difference.. I love the PS films, but took a chance on Wrapsol. So far in my experience I can't even tell it's there when viewing the screen thru it.

Also wrapsol solved my antenna issue. I am no longer have my bars go down when holding it in my left hand.

Correction. At first this seemed to help antenna issue. But as I have used it more it does not. I think it may help a bit but not much. Antenna issue is accentuated by low signal quality. In my house my signal quality seems to fluctuate (thanks AT&T). So when I was originally testing this quality must have been better. I can't tell because the quality of signal cannot always be measured in bars.

I've tried them all except Wrapsol. My fave is Best Skins Ever (BSE). Total coverage $7.99. Sides/Back $5.99. Screen $5.99.

I plan to BSE sides/back, Power Support Crystal for front, bumper when I feel like using it.

Wrapsol is pricey. Is there benefit over using that vs. BSE for instance? BSE has a lower orange peel texture than Zagg, etc. IMO.

these are great pics

Here you go guys! Not the best pictures in the world, but hopefully good enough to answer some questions and concerns!

Thanks for posting. These pictures are really good. I really thought/hoped the orig would look this good. My order should arrive on Tue + my bumper. Can't wait. My new phone is sitting in a drawer until these two products arrive.

btw- has anyone posted the orig + bumper anywhere? If so and you can point me to the thread I'd appreciate it.

I got lucky with my Wrapsol order, thanks to the coupon code. They had covers for camera LCDs, so I added a 3" diagonal and the entire order came out to only one dollar over the free shipping limit, so I'm golden.

Yeah. No go on this. The adhesive marks are there from the get go. No washing off seemed to help.

I think you're right. They've been rushing and making mistakes.

Bummer.

do you have the back part still installed? if so, how is that? i keep hearing that people are getting marks from the squeegee. that doesn't sound good at all.

question to wrapsol ultra users, do you also use the squeegee for the back install or nah?
