After reading your post, I did some googling and found this:

Some states, including Massachusetts, have a "use tax"; basically, you have to pay MA sales tax on items you purchased out-of-state. Interestingly, this law exists to discourage people from driving from Boston to malls in NH to buy stuff. The use tax does cover out-of-state online purchases; you're supposed to declare it on your tax return. Unsurprisingly, very few people do, but if you were to get a state audit, badness would ensue.

All states have a use tax. They have varying methods of how they try and collect it. Nothing in the US is ever tax free unless your state has no sales tax, like Delaware, for instance.

blah, now Im having second thoughts about the original. I hope the matte on the back looks good! lol I wish I didnt have 6 more days to think about it

^^^^ I was original thinking the same thing when I was getting ready to order, but then I did some more reading and found out what the matte really was.

Sold! I bet this will look great on the iPhone 4 back.

ya, someone else posted a link in this thread with a couple more pictures of the matte. I guess im just more curious how it will look on the flat glass back than anything, if that makes sense :p

No doubt, the matte looked awesome on the old iphone. But the new one is just so sleek, and glass. I just can't see the matte looking that good with the new design on the glass backing. This is why I went with the Ultra. That plus the dry application. ;) But I am sure we will all see soon enough once we get the phones and all. I will try to take pics and post back.

Although the back is now made of glass, the back on the Wrapsol Original is still made out of Matte film so it's going to look matte regardless.

It's not like the back of the iPhone is transparent, it's still a solid black color albiet covered with glass

The only significant change is a flat back, it's not curved like the 3GS.

Do you guys think the matte back will look good on the new iPhone? I honestly don't know with it being glass now. With the plastic, yeah, it looked awesome. Glass I am not sure about though. I ordered the Ultra because of this. Anyone elses thoughts.

Yeah, I changed mind on this and actually cancelled the original and replaced an order for the ultra... think the matte won't look as good on glass.

Does anyone have experience with Wrapsol Ultra? Will it affect the screen in a bad way in terms of clarity and definition?

The short answer is no, I do not see any change in clarity and definition compared with my Power Support Crystal Film Set. I have pre-ordered the ultra for my iPhone 4.

The long answer: I was debating what type of protection to get for my soon to be delivered iPhone 4. On my iPhone 3GS I use a Power Support Crystal Film Set with the iSkin Solo FX SE case. My friend has the ZAGG InvisibleShield on his 3GS and loves it, but I hated the feel and the reduction in clarity. So, I decided to order the Wrapsol Ultra for my iPod Touch, as a test (since I'm not going invest in my 3GS as it will sold soon). It looks just as nice as the Power Support Crystal Film Set and despite being noticeably thicker (around the home button) the responsiveness is just a great. Also, it's nice and smooth as apposed to the InvisibleShield. The back doesn't look as nice because I really messed it up (pressed it on nice and firm, only to realize I misaligned and then messed it up by ripping off and reapplying).

Thanks for the info. Even if it did reduce clarity a little bit, the peace of mind that comes with having a protector is better in my opinion. It's great to hear there is no reduction in clarity. Best of both worlds.

I LOVE the matte finish for the 3G/3GS - looks really, really nice. But I have to wait for a picture of what it looks like on the iPhone 4 first. Otherwise I think I'll be going for the Ultra version... Don't think I'll be going with the Power Support one since the shipping costs are like double-trippe the price of the protection itself, while I only pay like 6 bucks going with Wrapsol (around 30$/24,50€) all together with the promo code...

Good thing the iPhone comes to Austria in July, not June - more time to decide.

Will they replace the kit under warranty if your iPhone gets swapped under warranty? (assuming you took the kit off before swap and send it back to Wrapsol.)

That to me is good customer service. The fact that they are willing to replace it for free if you had to pick up a new iPhone due to glitch. That is what keeps customers if you ask me, a company standing behind their product.

I would hope so...It cant cost them more than $1 for the actual cut material itself.

I went with matte. I think it will look OK and I prefer a slightly grippy surface to a completely smooth one. I think the matte will feel a little better in this regard.

I plan on using a bumper as well. Not sure if I am going to apply anything to the front. I have a power support on my 3g but opted not to use it on my ipad.

I preorder the wrapsol ultra on the 16th, with ground shipping. Anyone know how long is ground shipping?

I was really conflicted over which one to get - ultra or regular. I placed an order for the ultra, but called them up a day later & changed it to regular. I think I'll prefer the matte finish. As for their CS, it's wonderful! He applied the discount, & was very patient with my questions. Wrapsol CS gets a 10/10 from me.

Hi would anyone be able to tell me if the Wrapsol Ultra is clear, like the PS crystal? I tried an Invisible shield on my old iPhone 3G but hated the different texture on the screen. I used a PS crystal for my 3GS and it was perfect, but as they are not shipping for over a month I am going to try out a different brand.

Thanks

Ultra is clear, but PS crystal is a hard film, these are soft, so it won't be the same as PS. Look at the SGP Steinheil films, they're similar as PS and seem to be at least as good or better according to a few youtube reviews.
