Only things I disagree with are:

7S & 7S Plus IMO will definitely have home buttons.

iPhone X Edition probably will be iPhone Pro.

This is going to be one heck of an event.
All the cool kids will say 'Hey man I have the iPhone Pro harrr diiii darrrr'.

Just kidding there of course won't be an iPhone Pro and my example is one of the many reasons why. It's about the lamest name possible.

Something tells me that the execs at Apple KNOW that Steve Jobs Theater will be ready for this announcement. They can't possibly do it somewhere else.

Hmmm maybe iPhone Edition then. Very curious to find out.

hope they don't water down their lineup with too many models (7S, 8, Pro, etc.)
Well the new lineup will be:
iPhone 7S
iPhone 7S Plus
iPhone Edition
iPhone SE (2nd generation)

But presumably next year will be simplified, I am hoping it ends up like this:
iPhone 8 mini (new SE)
iPhone 8
iPhone 8 Plus

I wonder who will get snubbed. The theater is much smaller than the Bill Graham Center.
Uhhh doesn't matter the size. All Apple keynotes will be held there in every future event except maybe WWDC. It's kinda why they built it.

Just to add some suspence to the event.
Imagine they announce the 7s and 7s+, then move to another topic (Apple Watch 3 maybe)
Everyone starts thinking there is not iPhone 8 and then surprise, there is one more thing.
Since we had pretty much everything leaked it would make the event more interesting

Eh, personally I think the "One More Thing" is a little long in the tooth. I think it's best for Cook/Apple to move forward and create their own message/ideas to the Apple fans out there.

So far I didn't get the appeal of wireless charging (it doesn't rid you of cables, charging pad still has one, you only safe the "hassle" of plugging it), but from this it sounds like it charges faster than the current lightning cable. Couldn't they make the current method faster?

It doesn't rid you of cables but thins out the spaghetti bowl and you don't have physical plug in the device, you just plop it on the pad.

Plugging in a lighting cable is less of a hassle than, say a USB 2 cable, but its still something you have to do. The parallel is having remote locks on a car is easier than non-remote locks, but auto unlock is easier than both of those methods.

So while inductive isn't totally wireless, it's a step in the right direction. As someone who has both an inductive charging AW and a USB charging Garmin watch I can tell you it's much more pleasant to drop the AW on the charger than fiddling with the cable for the Garmin.

Yes! Ready for the new "smaller" phone with large screen. I love the physical size of the 7/6 (4.7") series phones but want the screen size of the 6+/7+ 5.5". That big screen in the small body = WIN!!

I just want the battery life of iPhone Plus in smaller one.

You state why "one more think" isn't applicable here in your last sentence. No one doesn't think a new flagship isn't coming. There is no suspense about its existence or announcement, only the fine details. Jobs used the "one more thing" bit to introduce things that were 100% unexpected.

Considering the new iOS 11 videos demonstrate an iPhone 7 functioning without a home button & countless prototypes appearing with rear facing Touch ID.

I think there could be a slight chance that Apple is going all out on eliminating the front home button experience on the entire line-up this year.

My prediction; (come back here in after the event & see!)

iPhone 7s - renamed to iPhone, without home button and rear-facing Touch ID

iPhone 7s Plus - renamed to iPhone Plus, without home button and rear-facing Touch ID

iPhone X Edition - OLED, “bezel-less” design with Face ID only.

And all the above mentioned iPhones will also make magnetic charging the norm, with ceramic backs.

Going against the rumors and leaks on quite a few of these. Are you also the type to pick the 60-1 horse named "Slowpoke"? We'll see later this month how many of your predictions are right.

I love the idea of not damaging a cable or lightning port. Magsafe charging has saved my macbook pro from a nasty fall a couple of times.

Can we stop calling it the iPhone 8?

How are they going to announce the usual upgrades on the S version of the 7... and then say, “Oh and here’s the 8! We’re bringing it out a year early!”

That’d be confusing. What would they call the upgrades on both of these phones next year? It’s clear they are going to break the naming pattern. Edition is stupid. X is stupid. How they won’t call it the iPhone Pro when they’ve worked hard to clear up the MacBook and iPad lines (not to mention iMac Pro) is beyond me.

^^^^ That's what I was thinking....they need to hype up the 7S models since those are the ones that will be readily available - or is Phil going to say here is the amazing 'Iphone 8' model and then here are the left over models.

Apple is aiming to use Steve Jobs Theater for the event, but its construction timetable could affect timing or location, the report said.

Let's hope failure to finish construction on time won't mean another small worker in blue being kneed in the back and sent flying into the air by an unforgiving Tim Cook.

(I jest of course, it would be a lovely and fitting thing for them to announce an anniversary iPhone in a place named after Jobs).

There's never been a one-more-thing at an iPhone event.

Facetime was the one more thing at the iPhone 4 event and Apple Watch was announced as a "one more thing" during 2014, the iPhone 6 event

I imagine 7s and 7s+ will be announced before the OLED iPhone, even if they don't do the one more thing.
In 2013 they announced two models and 5c was the first one, then came the 5s with touchID and the 64bit CPU

They tend to unveil new products, but macrumors did that before them so there is no point to watch that event.

Oh.
Sorry.
My memory is as fading as fast as Jobs' influence on Apple products.

Anyway it is not an indication that Cook will announce the one more thing, I think he personally did only once for Apple Watch, some people expected it but it was at an early stage so no leaks like the one we have with iPhone 8.

I guess the only surprise will be the name of the new iPhone, and the price (unless it leaks from a carrier)

It's sad that some of you literally will spend almost 1 thousand for a new phone! All I see is bunch of "Yesmen" to Apple. Now let's take at some of the "biggest" new stuff..

Face ID - How many of you said back in June "I won't buy it unless Touch ID is in the screen.."

Wireless charging - Are we humans getting more lazier? Is it hard to plug in a small cable into your phone? Imagine if we, today, had to use a "pad" just to charge our phones? And all of a sudden, Apple brought small little cables into the world. "Apple is the BEST I SWEAR"!

Bezel less - I give credit to that..

Notification center - Are you really that geeky? They do this every year.

Full of people that won't lead the crowd, but follow the crowd!

(If this is your first iPhone or you're upgrading from 6/6s, I don't mind you).
