I don't care about how to decide who get's insta-killed. Bolding names has the danger of accidentally majority lock. I'm good with a discusion about who you think is acting strange/suspicious. If we have a pool of shared suspects that'd be fine for me. I just want to give those (like the QoS just did) a chance to defend themselves. Something that wasn't really possible yesterday.
I mostly agree with DPs list, although it indeed is more than vague. My hunches are generally bad I've to admit. Actually only once did it work: my very first hunch ever the first day i was playing this game (being a seer), Moyank the Alpha Wolf. That was epic though, will tell my grandchildren about that..

I think it's more likely that the cylons assumed you'd be protected last night, went for someone else, and you're the target tonight.
In fact, I'm betting starbuck protected SS night before last and she was targeted last night since cylons knew they had to go for it then. That would open up the option that SS was starbuck and you're screwed no matter what.

To be honest, with as little information as I feel I have, I'm half tempted to vote off people that aren't very active. I recognize people have other life responsibilities and varying levels of participation, so it's not a direct dig on them, but I'd almost rather have people present that have more time to play instead of kicking out those that do. Plus I'm not suspicious of those that are active, which only leaves the less active players to be suspicious of!

In case y'all are waiting for me, I'm going to finish re-reading the whole thread and hopefully am still awake for DPs thoughts. It's now 0:20 here.
One thing is really bugging me somehow, though: when DP brought out the open source idea and chrmjenkins jumped all out on it immediately, thinking of all kind of possible scenarios i.e. these posts do make me curious:
Flaw is that Athena just isn't able to tell us anything about specials (except for Baltar).
Maybe that just slipped through, maybe they wanted to sell us an idea. As I said I'll re-read the whole thing but with that in mind.

Do we have confirmation that Athena can't know human specials? I can see how you read that from the rules, but the rules also state that Athena is the seer, and the seer has traditionally been told the exact role.
Okay I have a few minutes and a keyboard so here we go.
As QoS pointed out, my expiration date is closing in, either because I will be killed at night or because the suspicious minds amongst you will want to see me Panic as I am ejected into deep space. And although I do always carry with me an Electronic Thumb, and I diligently packed my towel, I think the chances to hitch a ride in one of the other spaceships is scant, especially for a Cylon.
I am Athena, a cylon and a seer.
After some time to get in connection with my newly-discovered feminine side, I proceeded to do my game-job.
I scanned.
Here I have also to disclose that since I came late to the game (I am in the middle of a job-move and hadnt logged on at macrumors for some time, so wasnt aware the game had started until right after the first night deadline), Ravenvii allowed me to use the first night scan anyway.
Anyways, the results were interesting, although not as exciting as one would have hoped.
I was going to wait a little bit longer to come forward, but with the insta-kill about to be used, I thought the info would be more important now, and I definitively do not want to take it with me without divulging it, as the situation on the battleship is already troubling as is with 3 bad cylons and a traitor in the making and only 7 remaining of us.
Its going to be tight, and I dont expect to make it to the end, but hopefully we can clock one for the good guys. Good enough for me.
The list I gave earlier was semi-bogus, because I wanted to protect some citizen without making it too obvious.
The people I scanned are Chrmjenkins, Moyank24 and Sythas. All three are humans.

But there is a silver lining: Sythas is Baltar.
Now twietee, before you go on and off him guns a-blazing hear me out.
Right now he is not active, although he can certainly be from tomorrow if Six decides so. We can lynch him anytime.
Excluding myself (Athena) Twietee (Helo), Chrmjenkins and Moyank (humans), there are 3 bad cylons among these remaining 6 players: Jav6454, QueenofSpades, RickSnagwell, Plutonius, SilentPanda and Tomorrow. I dont think jav is six or brother cavil, but he could be #12.
If I were you I would shoot one of them, hoping to get #12 or Six.
Then we lynch from this restricted group.
The good people in this group are lynching targets, but at least they should be less desirable targets at night (to keep the odds better for the cylons.
There would be some more thought, but Ill address them in a second post, as this is already long enough

Doesn't really change anything effectually. No reason to lie about being a good special when Athena can tell whether the human part is true or not.

I think that looking at the deaths that occurred at night gives us the most info.
Night 1: Comeagain?. Out of the three nights, this makes the least sense. The first night was essentially a free kill for the cylons because they would have to assume that Starbuck was protecting themselves. Apologies to Comeagain but I can't see anyone picking him over some of the other players (Don't Panic etc.). The only possibilities I can see are.
- Someone tried to frame Koodauw for Comeagain's death (Koodauw's early comment).
- It was revenge from a past game.
- The cylons didn't want to kill one of the better players who may be Baltar. It still doesn't explain SS death on night 3 unless the cylons considered her more dangerous then Don't Panic or chrmjenkins.
Night 2: No death.
Possibilities:
- Starbuck protected someone. Assuming that Starbuck protected themselves on night 1, that would mean Starbuck would have to be protecting someone else. I doubt very much that Starbuck would risk protecting someone else so early in the game.
- The cylons missed their turn.
- The cylons found cylon 12. If so, it would have been someone the cylons would have normally tried to kill. If they were trying to protect Baltar, they might have tried to kill the person they scanned in night 1 (assuming he wasn't Baltar).

Dammit. I picked up your hint, but I took your good list as literal, so I'm glad I didn't pick up on that as gospel.
I'm taking my vote off of Sythas and putting it on Queen of Spades.
I think we should leave Sythas alive. If we lose both of our specialists, he'll continue to identify people who die for us. The cylons won't want to activate him because they'll lose a night's kill. Maybe the kamikaze will take him out, but taking out the kamikaze would be good thing and worth the loss. If we go a night without a kill, we can assume he's been activated and kill him the next day. The only other option is that Starbuck protected the right person, but neither is particularly advantageous to the cylons. He's living on borrowed time either way.

Impossible. They must kill each night. They found the missing cylon or the starbuck was successful. It's probably the former because it seems likely that would have been the night that starbuck wasn't protecting anyone.
i am waiting to cast a vote until twietee uses his shot. wouldn't want to reach a majority lock before time.
I know that animated gif was super important to the thread, but let's stop. With Athena's revealing things are going to get a lot more contentious and it's best that we get all the same information, even if you're just innocently adding to a post.

Not opposed to shooting or lynching him, but why do you think this? I like having reasons if I can. Otherwise I'm more prone to rick since he's the least participatory on the lower list. Which isn't itself really a reason but... I have little else to go on except to believe your list... providing you're Athena (which I feel more confident than tweetie's claim until somebody takes a bullet).
Are you sure ? In other WW games, the WW missed the deadline and their nightly kill. I agree with you that they probably found cylon 12.
